Raccoon: The Orc Invasion v3 is a unity based 2D platformer game and similar to the one we received just over a year ago. I no longer have version 1; so, don't know whether this is just an updated version of the original, or whether it has some different elements to it and is the third in the series ? The graphic looks exactly the same, with just a few slight tweaks to the menus.

Navigate through each level, collecting coins and either avoiding the orcs or jumping on them to kill them. If you've played Turtix that has been given away via this site i.e. three different versions over the years between 2007 and 2017, e.g. Turtix 2: Rescue Adventures, Turtix, Turtix Rescue Adventures!, Turtix again, and Turtix yet again; Racoon: The Orc Invasion has similar game play and graphic design; though today's games levels are played in a more linear fashion, from left to right with much longer levels compared to Turtix's multi level platforms over shorter levels. The Mechanic remains the same, run, jump on enemies and collect coins and then move to the next level via a portal.

You start the game with three lives; if you die, you return to the beginning of the level you are on (this can be frustrating, especially if you are almost at the end of the level). You can pick up at least one extra life on a level, but I'm not sure whether this will increase your life count to four i.e. you can only gain the extra life if you've already lost one, or whether it does add an extra heart to the life indicator that's located in the top left of the game screen. When yo transport to a new level your life count is reset to three so, don't worry if you only have one life left at the end of a level as it will be reset. Movement is as usual accomplished using the W key to move left and the D key to move right; though you can also use the left and right arrow keys if you wish (ideal for left handed people like myself), plus the space bar to jump. Some jumps require you to time the jump perfectly, otherwise you'll fall into the abyss and return to the beginning of the level. Any orc's you kill on your first run do not respawn, so it's a good idea to jump on as many as you dare on your first run through. This makes it much easier to run through and time your jumps if you have to make a second or third run. If you die on your third attempt, all the orcs will respawn. When you reach the cave/portal, you are transported to the next level. Once you become familiar with the mechanics of the game, it becomes relatively easy to complete a level.

I've not played this to the end, so cannot say how many levels there are?

I couldn't find a v3 video posted on You Tube, but there are videos for v1 and v2 and the first levels on both videos are the same as v3, so I would hazard a guess that v3 is basically the same as the game we received back in Dec 2019 but with some tweaks. There was an upgrade with the Steam version where it looks different with updated assets and the end of level 1 looks different. You can see a couple of videos of v1 and v2 HERE and HERE
