An exciting game where you act as a soldier facing other soldiers in the city.

The third piece of puzzles with fragments from old paintings. The game is very simple, as it was created for your relaxation and does not require special attention. The game has 15 levels, where each level consists of 16 elements that must be rotated in the desired direction and dragged into place. At the beginning of the level, you see the image for 5 seconds and then it disappears. In this version of the game, the help button is disabled, as it was in previous games, since the levels are very simple. The game will help you relax and have fun. There is a choice of levels and you can start playing from the level you choose. The game will delight you with nice graphics and calm music.

Old Canvases 3:
Oil-Canvases-3-001

Oil-Canvases-3-002
In Brief:
Old Canvases 2 is the second part of Oil Canvases that we were given last week. It's a similar theme to Oil Paintings that we were given back in September 22nd 2021 except we get the smaller 16 element puzzles to each of the 15 oil canvas's and the images are only part of the original canvas.

We've had several jigsaw puzzles from GameREA ranging from excellent 60 pieces puzzles with 16 different boards to solve, ones with 49 elements with 10 different puzzles to solve to the smaller 16 element puzzles with 15 different puzzles to solve. These included themes such as Fantastic Puzzles 2021, Street Art, Grim puzzles, Oil Paintings, Terrible(fantasy) puzzles, Colourful World, Transport, Statues, and Autumn Mood puzzles. Todays game is of the latter type i.e. 16 elements with 15 different puzzles to solve.

You can see a video of game play HERE.

The Game:
Oil Canvases 3 like the first two, is a 16 piece square puzzle with fifteen images to solve. When you start the game you can see what key bindings and mouse controls are used by clicking on the Control button (see the second image above).

Along the bottom of the puzzle grid are four buttons with a timer in the middle. The first two buttons toggle the sound on and off, the third button restarts the puzzles timer from the beginning; when this is done, all the pieces of the puzzle are shuffled and reoriented differently. The puzzle pieces are located to the left and right of the 4 x 4 grid; eight on each side.

When placing pieces in the correct position they are not locked like previous jigsaw puzzles we've received from a different developer. Also, if you place a piece wrongly it does not jump back to the periphery like some of the BD Games puzzles we've had recently, you have to put them back manually. This puzzle looks more professional and is very similar to the puzzle we received previously about Autumn Moods, Terrible and Statue Puzzles by the same developer i.e. GameREA.

There is a level map that allows you to start at whichever image you wish to solve first. When you've completed a puzzle it will automatically move onto the next puzzle in the level map or if you want to move to a new puzzle press the fourth button at the bottom of the image. Whenever you start the game from the beginning without choosing a level, it always starts with the first puzzle. When you have completed all 15 puzzles you are taken back to the main menu, where you can start again. Each restart of the puzzle you'll find all the puzzle pieces in a different location. Puzzle pieces are orientated in different ways, so you may need to turn the puzzle piece to get it to match up by right clicking on the piece.

You can also see the different mouse and keyboard commands via the second button in the main menu. To close the game use the Esc key.
Conclusion:
Oil Canvases 3 like the first two is a pleasant jigsaw puzzle game, that should take around a couple or more minutes to complete each puzzle. With fifteen puzzle you've easily got a few hours worth of puzzle solving. :)

The puzzles are of famous oil paintings. I enjoyed completing a couple of them in the time I had to write this review up. For an adult, there is little challenge, but these would give a youngster some challenge, especially if they were competing with siblings to see who could complete the puzzles the quickest. Sadly, there is no high score table..

Notes on Security

I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game using Virus Total and it found 2 hits (Dr Web & Jiangmin) from 58 antimalware engines. These two are amongst only several antimalware suites that often tag Falcoware Games compared to most better known and more reliable antimalware engines; so, it's very likely to be a false positive.

The downloaded executable 'may' include some low level adware that only opens your browser once to Falcoware's home page after the game has installed and also places four shortcuts onto your desktop (which can be safely deleted once the game has installed).

The installation does NOT inject any malware into your system. When your browser is opened to Falcoware's home page following the games installation, it earns Falcoware games some money, part of which is given to the developer of the game for allowing the game to be given away free. Once you've installed the game, there are no more browser redirections. This is because Falcoware removed their installer over a year ago (that installer would show an advert for a game and then open your browser each time you played and then closed the game down.)

You can see the results of the scan via the following link:

Whiterabbit-uk,

Other Free Games:
Please check Delenn's threads over in the giveaway forums HERE and HERE for the latest non Steam and Steam freebies. Also for the latest Steam sales check THIS Steam database site out. You can list the games in 'price' & 'percentage off' by clicking the headers. If you link SteamDB with your Steam account all games that you already have will be highlighted in green. When there are Steam games being given away, you'll see 100% off.
Steam-sales
Don't forget to check Indie Gala's freebie section HERE, then click on the Showcase header, selecting freebies from the drop down menu; recent additions include Distortions, Dino Run DX, Cheap Golf, Kill Em All, Dead Hungry Diner and Contract with the Devil. All remaining freebies can be found in the showcase section (around 100 are available). Not all games that go into the showcase remain free, so you should grab them as soon as you can.
The latest Epic freebie's are Guild of Dungeoneering - a turn-based, dungeon-crawling, card-battler with a twist: instead of controlling the hero you build the dungeon around them. Using cards drawn from your Guild decks, you lay down rooms, monsters, traps and of course loot! Meanwhile your hero is making their own decisions on where to go and what to fight. Also KID A MNESIA EXHIBITION - An upside-down digital/analogue universe created from original artwork and recordings to commemorate 21 years of Radiohead’s Kid A and Amnesiac; this title is due for release next week; seems like Epic are doing the same as when A Total War Sage: Troy was released last year. Only on the first day of release y could you get it free. Finally and Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna) an atmospheric puzzle platformer developed in collaboration with the Iñupiat, an Alaska Native people, drawn from a traditional story that has been shared across the generations. Guide both characters in single-player mode or play cooperatively with a friend as you trek through frozen tundra, leap across treacherous ice floes, swim through underwater caverns and face enemies both strange and familiar.
From Thursday 25th (late afternoon) next week we will be getting two games that include Antstream - Epic Welcome Pack - Grab 1090 Gems for free to use in-game! This in-game currency can be spent on playing games, challenges and limited-time tournaments! Gems can also be used to unlock harder challenges and play turn-based PvP against friends and other players!. Better still we will also be getting the base game for The Hunter: Call of the Wild; (which is presently my favourite game that I'm playing virtually every day both solo and with friends since June 2021). The base game includes two of the available 10 reserves i.e. Hirschfelden (Germany) and Leyton Lakes United States); which you can find details of HERE. I've posted an edited copy of my Steam review over in the forums HERE; (I've still to add images and links to various tutorials), in preparation for the giveaway, together with lots of screen captures that show the beauty of this game. Each of the reserves covers around 25 to 30 square miles of reserve that you can explore fully, with day and night cycles as well as weather effects and environmental and animal sounds, the immersion within this game is amazing.
The best Indie Bundles sites that have been operating from around 2011 are the Humble Bundle and Indie Gala sites where you'll sometimes find decent bundles with over 90% off the usual price of the games included in the bundles. The Humble site is in my opinion the best. A more recent addition that is worth checking out are the Fanatical bundles that you can find HERE (thanks Delenn for reminding me of this bundle).

Also well worth checking is CDKeys, where you can pick up games with as much as 98% off. I got last years STAR WARS™ Squadrons for 98% off back in October, costing me a crazy £0.38p. You'll find CDKeys HERE. You can get the Ultimate Edition of the acclaimed game Control (GOG version) for £0.59, Dragon Age: Inquisition (Epic version) for £0.49 (both 98% off), both from CD Keys.

Almost forgot, Ubisoft are celebrating 35 years in the business and have been giving away free AAA games. At the moment you can grab Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory for free; available until November 25th.
You can find details of how to get the game HERE
