In Brief:
The Labyrinth of Greed is a 20 level 2D top down adventure puzzler where you play as a tomb raider searching for hidden treasures and avoiding traps and ancient guards. Minimum system requirements include Windows 7,8 or 10 with a quad-core 2.0 GHz or dual-core 2.6 GHz CPU and 1GB of sys RAM and an HD supported graphic chip or card; also requires 100MB of disk space.

The game was created by The Lab Grab and published by gigantum games and is due for a Steam release sometime in December; however, we get it for free today via Falcoware games. :)

You can see a video of game play HERE.

The Game:
The Labyrinth of Greed is basically a Pac Man like game with runner elements. Gather up all the treasures within the maze/labyrinth, avoiding the guards that are running around randomly. If you are touched by any guard, you start the level from the beginning. As soon as you've collected all of the treasures you will be transported to the next level. Make sure you avoid any traps such as the mines/bombs.
Conclusion:
The game is okay for a few levels, but becomes a little tedious (IMO); it's one of those casual arcade games that are ideal for those short coffee/tea breaks we probably take each day. It's not a game I'd buy for full price when released on Steam. However, it is well constructed and I encountered no bugs during my limited game play.

Once you've completed a level it remains unlocked via the level selection screen and can be played again anytime you wish.

I never liked Pac Man, so it would be unfair of me to give this a score as I'm a little biased. If you loved playing Pac Man when it was at its height back in the 1980's you'll probably enjoy all 20 levels of this game. The original game was called Puck Man, but when it was released internationally, it was changed to Pac Man because of the probability that the arcade machines would be defaced by changing the P to an F by vandals.

Notes on Security

I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game using Virus Total and it found zero hits from 60 antimalware engines.

The downloaded executable 'may' include some very low level adware (not adware that pops up via your system) that is only active when you first install the game when it opens your browser once to Falcoware's home page after the game has installed and also places four shortcuts onto your desktop (which can be safely deleted once the game has installed).

The installation does NOT inject any malware into your system. When your browser is opened to Falcoware's home page following the games installation, it earns Falcoware games some money, part of which is given to the developer of the game for allowing the game to be given away free. Once you've installed the game, there are no more browser redirections. This is because Falcoware removed their installer over a year ago (that installer would show an advert for a game and then open your browser each time you played and then closed the game down.)

You can see the results of the scan via the following link:

Whiterabbit-uk,

Other Free Games:
Please check Delenn's threads over in the giveaway forums HERE and HERE for the latest non Steam and Steam freebies. Also for the latest Steam sales check THIS Steam database site out. You can list the games in 'price' & 'percentage off' by clicking the headers. If you link SteamDB with your Steam account all games that you already have will be highlighted in green. When there are Steam games being given away, you'll see 100% off.
Steam-sales
Don't forget to check Indie Gala's freebie section HERE, then click on the Showcase header, selecting freebies from the drop down menu; recent additions include Distortions, Dino Run DX, Cheap Golf, Kill Em All, Dead Hungry Diner and Contract with the Devil. All remaining freebies can be found in the showcase section (around 100 are available). Not all games that go into the showcase remain free, so you should grab them as soon as you can.
The latest Epic freebie's are Guild of Dungeoneering - a turn-based, dungeon-crawling, card-battler with a twist: instead of controlling the hero you build the dungeon around them. Using cards drawn from your Guild decks, you lay down rooms, monsters, traps and of course loot! Meanwhile your hero is making their own decisions on where to go and what to fight. Also KID A MNESIA EXHIBITION - An upside-down digital/analogue universe created from original artwork and recordings to commemorate 21 years of Radiohead’s Kid A and Amnesiac; this title is due for release next week; seems like Epic are doing the same as when A Total War Sage: Troy was released last year. Only on the first day of release y could you get it free. Finally and Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna) an atmospheric puzzle platformer developed in collaboration with the Iñupiat, an Alaska Native people, drawn from a traditional story that has been shared across the generations. Guide both characters in single-player mode or play cooperatively with a friend as you trek through frozen tundra, leap across treacherous ice floes, swim through underwater caverns and face enemies both strange and familiar.
From Thursday 25th (late afternoon) next week we will be getting two games that include Antstream - Epic Welcome Pack - Grab 1090 Gems for free to use in-game! This in-game currency can be spent on playing games, challenges and limited-time tournaments! Gems can also be used to unlock harder challenges and play turn-based PvP against friends and other players!. Better still we will also be getting the base game for The Hunter: Call of the Wild; (which is presently my favourite game that I'm playing virtually every day both solo and with friends since June 2021). The base game includes two of the available 10 reserves i.e. Hirschfelden (Germany) and Leyton Lakes United States); which you can find details of HERE. I've posted an edited copy of my Steam review over in the forums HERE; (I've still to add images and links to various tutorials), in preparation for the giveaway, together with lots of screen captures that show the beauty of this game. Each of the reserves covers around 25 to 30 square miles of reserve that you can explore fully, with day and night cycles as well as weather effects and environmental and animal sounds, the immersion within this game is amazing.
The best Indie Bundles sites that have been operating from around 2011 are the Humble Bundle and Indie Gala sites where you'll sometimes find decent bundles with over 90% off the usual price of the games included in the bundles. The Humble site is in my opinion the best. A more recent addition that is worth checking out are the Fanatical bundles that you can find HERE (thanks Delenn for reminding me of this bundle).

Also well worth checking is CDKeys, where you can pick up games with as much as 98% off. I got last years STAR WARS™ Squadrons for 98% off back in October, costing me a crazy £0.38p. You'll find CDKeys HERE. You can get the Ultimate Edition of the acclaimed game Control (GOG version) for £0.59, Dragon Age: Inquisition (Epic version) for £0.49 (both 98% off), both from CD Keys.

Almost forgot, Ubisoft are celebrating 35 years in the business and have been giving away free AAA games. At the moment you can grab Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory for free; available until November 25th.
You can find details of how to get the game HERE
