A blood-red sunset fell. New monsters emerged from the shadows of the rocks. Now, surveying the ancient ruins began to seem like a bad idea. Turning on the flashlight and intercepting the weapon, you began to get out of the rocks.

In Brief

Another of Jurij's first person monster/zombie games played in a single arena, with survival being the main aim of the game. Monsters respawn after a short time. You start with a selection of weapons that are accessible using the mouse wheel or the number keys. Key Bindings are accessed via the F1 key.

The village is full of large rock outcrops with various buildings scattered among them. You can pick up extra health and/or ammo, though they are not as abundant as previous games from Jurij.

The latest game from Epic Games is the excellent RTS game Wargame: Red Dragon; i.e. engage in a large-scale conflict between Western forces and the Communist bloc. From 4p.m. Thursday 11th March the free game changes to the excellent Surviving Mars, a Mars based RTS game that was also given away earlier last year.

There's a DLC pack free for Minion Masters called Outlandish Operations until the 12th March. See Delenn's thread over in the game discussion forums for details (link below). You'll need to be signed into your Steam account to be able to add it to your account.

Please see Delenn's threads for Steam and Non Steam freebies HERE and HERE respectively. It’s worth adding these to your favourites and checking regularly for available freebies. Most are only free for a specific time. If you miss the deadline you’ll miss out. Once added to your account, it’s yours to keep.

Notes on Security

I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game and it found zero hits from 60 antimalware engines. The downloaded executable may include some low level adware that only opens your browser to Falcowares home page after the game has installed, but does not inject any malware into your system. When your browser is opened to Falcowares home page it earns them some money, part of which is given to the developer of the game for allowing the game to be given away free.
