Defend your kingdom against foreign invaders! Darkness descended over the human world, and various creatures began to ravage the royal lands.
You have to stop the evil aggressor, build buildings on the path of the enemy troops.
The main thing is to build wisely. Each tower has its own special feature.
Some shoot fast but do little damage, some slow down enemies, some shoot far but at low rate. Plan your defense!
Pick up the coins that fall out of the monsters.
When things get too dangerous, use active skills - this will get you some time.

I've tried to install the tower defence game Arkan Tower a couple of times, but each time the executable is removed by Security Essentials. In all the years I've been downloading games from this site (virtually every one) since November 2006 I've never had any issues installing any of the games.

This is the first time ever that I've had the installation blocked and then the exe file deleted. I tried turning off the threats but the exe was still deleted each time I tried to install the game. I scanned the downloaded giveaway zip file via Dr Web and got one hit from 55 antimalware suites, i.e. Dr Web. You can see the result of the scan via the following link:

Microsoft Security Essentials threw up the following threats which do not tally with Dr Webs scan, so I've decided not to install this game. I know the giveaway team check all downloads using proprietary antimalware suits, but I'm too tired to research the issue further. The second time I tried to install it I got four threats quoted, one of which was serious (forgot to take a screen capture of it, then on a third try I just kept getting a window popping up with a warning. (see second image below:

(due to my ongoing rabbit sitting, which is basically hand feeding every 2 hours over night with three hour feeds in the afternoon (when they tend to sleep). As I'm the only one in the family that is retired with no real responsibilities, I've volunteered for most of the work involved, but it is stretching my ability to think straight with little decent sleep for several weeks now.)

We've had several games from the developer Luci Entertainment via Falcoware previously i.e. Night Wanderings (May 28, 2021), Stealthy ninja (September 1, 2020), In the dark forest (May 4, 2021), Guns Boy (October 20, 2020), Gravity Mummy (October 20, 2020).

The game is available on Steam for the princely sum of £039/$0.50 HERE . I like Tower Defense games so will probably buy it before the Steam sale ends. You can see Steam community reviews of the game HERE and a couple of game play videos HERE and HERE.

Gems can also be used to unlock harder challenges and play turn-based PvP against friends and other players!. You'll also need to install the Antstream client before you can spend the gems. Better still we will also be getting the base game for The Hunter: Call of the Wild; (which is presently my number one favourite game that I've been playing virtually every day both solo and with friends since June 2021). The base game includes two of the available 10 reserves i.e. Hirschfelden (Germany) and Leyton Lakes (United States); which you can find details of HERE. There are several DLC's that should be available free as well (e.g. Backpacks, new species, Compound Bow, Shooting Range and others). I've posted an edited copy of my Steam review over in the forums HERE, together with lots of screen captures that show the beauty of this game. Each of the reserves covers around 25 to 30 square miles of reserve that you can explore fully, with day and night cycles as well as weather effects and environmental and animal sounds; the immersion within this game is amazing.

Next Thursday 2nd December we will be getting two more games, i.e. Dead by Daylight, a multiplayer (4vs1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught, tortured and killed plus While True: Learn (Data Scientist Edition), is a puzzle/simulation game about even more puzzling stuff: machine learning, neural networks, big data and AI. But most importantly, it’s about understanding your cat.

The best Indie Bundles sites that have been operating from around 2011 are the Humble Bundle and Indie Gala sites where you'll sometimes find decent bundles with over 90% off the usual price of the games included in the bundles. The Humble site is in my opinion the best. A more recent addition that is worth checking out are the Fanatical bundles that you can find HERE (thanks Delenn for reminding me of this bundle, I've just recovered my account and found thousands of Steam keys listed from various bundles I purchased from 2012 to 2017).

Also well worth checking is CDKeys, where you can pick up games with as much as 98% off. I got last years STAR WARS™ Squadrons for 98% off back in October, costing me a crazy £0.38p. While Arkan Tower wouldn't run in my VMs with a D3D error [not surprising since there is no physical GPU], installed fine & Defender AV scans showed no problems in Win7 32-bit, Win10 64-bit, & Win11 64-bit.
