Weird Dungeon Explorer: Wave Beat is the third in the Weird Dungeon Explorer series (Weird Dungeon Explorer: Defender, Weird Dungeon Explorer: Run Away and Weird Dungeon Explorer: Wave Beat).

Wave Beat a retro plays like the old space invaders game where waves of dwarfs come at you from the top of a mountain and you have to shoot them before they reach the bottom. According to the Steam description you get several levels of increasing complexity and different monsters, however one of the steam reviews, which you can see HERE says there are only four levels and when you complete the last level you die and are returned to the beginning. The videos I've linked to below confirm this. As for the increasing levels of complexity, each successive level has a row of pillars added (see the last image below) that block some of your shots and also shorten the amount of time the enemy dwarves have to travel down to the bottom, increasing the speed at which they arrive. As with most of these Nekyau Games , the main menu is basic (see the first image below)and you have no options menu. the game was made using the free construct 2 engine. You can see the extent of the games game play HERE and . i.e. at the most, several minutes before the game is completed in its entirety.
