A simple Tower Defense Game made with the Unity engine

The Game

Tower Defense Simple is as the name implies a simple TD game with what appears to be only two levels, one single player and a multiplayer (MP) level. However, when playing the multiplayer level there didn't seem to be any multiplayer options, just another single player level. You can change the view point in game via the right mouse button and moving your mouse axis. The graphic is very basic, with different coloured enemies looking like boxes; the colours denoting their strength. There are several tower defences such as cannons, double cannons, rockets, slow mo towers etc. In the single player campaign (of one level) you start off with a generous amount of money to spend on your towers. At no point was my base in danger and after filling about half of the spots over saeveral enemy waves , I set the game to double speed and let the rest of the game run automatically until the end of the fifteenth wave. When the last wave was completed three buttons appeared, i.e. continue, restart and return to the main menu. The continue button doesn't work. The multiplayer level looked a little more interesting with two separate routes, but I was able to control both routes that ran parallel to each other. When the level was complete there was no results to show which player had won, just the same three buttons, the first one of which i.e. Continue, didn't work.

The game was far too easy, with no challenge at all. The lack of any progression or information on how you did from both the SP and MP levels, plus the fact that as far as I could tell there was only one level for each mode makes this one of the worst tower defense games i've ever played. That said, if you are relatively new to TD games and are looking for something easy to play, this may be for you?

The latest Epic game freebie is Roller Coaster Tycoon 3: The Complete Edition. It's actually a re-hash of Roller Coaster Tycoon 3: Platinum Edition released over a decade ago, which was removed from sale two years ago when a dispute between Atari and the developer went legal. The latest iteration has support for 1929 x 1080 displays and wide screen, otherwise it's the same game.

There's a couple of new additions to the Indie Gala freebies called Desert Law and The Tomorrow War (a 3D space shooter with ground strafing on planets. The game reminds me of a souped-up version of the first space shooter I ever bough back in the early 90's called Epic, but with far superior graphics.
