Very good game, but lacks a save feature. I don't have time to play for long periods of time and I have to just give up in order to end the game.

Only found the game giveaways, and are angry I missed this one.

Also, I made it to level 41 in the original series, but just started the game back up to find it all the way back to 12 for some reason. I really don't feel like playing all the levels over and over again, especially ones I had already finished.

Strange question here -- is there a code to turn on the barrier for the entire game? My 3-year-old watched me play this over my shoulder and wanted to play, but gets frustrated not being able to move her hands quick enough yet to hit the ball back up. Would be great if I could turn on a kid mode where either the paddle is HUGE or balls can't go out of bounds at all.

SO I was able to download the file, but did not have the activation file. Can someone send it to me? Or could someone send the activation code?

When I download the zip file, it shows up, but says it has nothing to extract. Can anyone help me out? I'd really like to try this game!

I think the problem was that my son's log-on is a limited access account, due to the computer being in a public area and used by his friends when they visit. Every time I tried to activate it, I received the message that it was successful, but it really wasn't. I uninstalled it from my (password protected) Admin account, rebooted and then installed it fresh on the Admin account. It worked that way. I just hope that he will be able to play it on his own account as I havn't tried it yet.

The graphics are really cool and the gameplay was excellent. Couldn't stop playing.

Marni, you have to activate the game in order to get the full game. After you set up the game activate it, before you run the game. Hope this helps.

My son really enjoyed this game, but I was dissapointed that it was only a 60 minute trial version not the full version as stated.

Download, installed and activated successfully, but when I started the game, the screen keep on flashing and all the words were re-arranged on the line. I've tried re-install and even reloaded directX and problem still there. Please suggest solution.

This Game installs and runs fine on windows 98 too, provided you have suitable hardware and DX9 installed. Quite impressive visually... When installing it under XP SP2 it only installs to the admin account you install it on, NOT to All users. To optimally install it on XP you need to copy/cut and paste the desktop short-cut to the "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop\" folder and the Start Menu "Strike Ball 2 Deluxe" folder and contents to "C:\Documents and Settings\All users\Start Menu\Programs\"

To run the game as a limited user instead of administrator simply enable read/write share of the "C:\Program files\Alawar\Strike Ball 2 Deluxe\" folder so that it can write to the folder as a limited user.

With a rework of the instalation script of the installer to detect NT based OS's and then to offer to install for all users or curent only and sorting the limited user being unable to write to the normal Progran files\ sub folder ... it'll be almost perfect!
Maybe having the game32.img file written out to the users temp folder and executed from there might overcome the write permisions issue with limited user accounts.

BTW One has to opt-out game32.img from hardware DEP in XP SP2 and above too.

I've already bought this, and can say, from hours of playing that it's far better than the previous givaway in this genre, already mentioned above. There's even an expansion pack for those who really like this game. I bought that to. It's got everything that the other one has plus more from lazer zappers at the top corners of the playing arena, to batteries that once you've collected three will give you the ability to destroy more than half of the board by producing an earthquake There's also a bomber that flies over occassionally dropping more power up's and is also used to drop bombs on the bricks. There's more but I'll let you discover that for yourselves. This really is a fantastic game, well worth having, especially if you're an arkanoid fan like me as it's up there with the best 3D games.

It's not much different from Magic Ball 2. But I liked that game very much, so this is also very attractive to play.
