Unfortunately I don't think I'll be posting a review today. I had a very long day entertaining guests yesterday (some good friends I originally met on this site), and got to bed very late; i.e. approaching five in the morning), so I won't be in any fit state until the afternoon (at the earliest) to even consider playing a game; then writing up a review. If I'm up to it, I'll post something later in the day; but no promises.
The only review I could find for 'Secret Empires of the Ancient World' was the Nintendo 3DS version of the game. From the 3DS images I've observed, the game is basically the same, but I can't be 100% sure becasue we don't have the 3DS version , but(we still have a couple of the 3DS handheld game consoles; however, both my children stopped playing with them less than six months after they were released back early in 2011 ( I'd finally build a couple of desktops for them around that time and had created Steam accounts for them; so they soon lost interest in their 3DS's. Hopefully the 3DS version is basically the same as the PC version???? so you may want to check the review HERE before downloading it. It's not a large download at 37.3MB.

Oh Yeah!
If you have a free Humble account you can get a Steam key for the 2018 version of the racing game F1 HERE. To purchase via Steam would set you back £34.99/$44.99/€39.99.
Hurry though because the offer ends Monday lunch time or when the allocated keys run out. The F1 series is a premium racing game and quite challenging. There are two newer versions F1 2019 and F1 2020 plus at least two older versions (f1 2016 and 2017) still available via Steam.
Don't forget to check out Delenns threads over in the giveaway forums where you'll find links to the latest freebies such as the two latest games from Epic Games i.e. 3 out of 10, EP 1: "Welcome To Shovelworks" & Wilmot's Warehouse. Next Thursdays freebies will be

& The Alto Collection

tony,
I just happend to be checking out the site and I know it has been 3 days but thought I'd reply anyway. If you use a VPN, turn it off (or on, if applicable) and try the link. There was a period I was getting that 404 error page on links here and turning the VPN on would fix it. That's the only suggestion I can offer. I hope it helps you out.

Unfortunately I had the same problem with this game that I had with the last HOG that was offered. On my 27" screen the full-screen option gives a very blurry picture and the windowed option is too small. I don't mind there not being a story line, and I never miss trekking from here the there and back again to find a scene to search, but the visuals are too difficult to deal with. On a smaller monitor might like this.

I changed my OS from a Windows to a Linux, so I was curious to see how this game worked with the WINE/PlayOnLinux programs. The install was flawless, the images were clear and the Options menu worked fairly well. The game is obviously for beginners, there's nothing hidden in these windows. No story, the music isn't the best and it's looped with a brief pauses of silence (much preferred anyway as I had something playing in the background). The game worked but, it isn't my idea of hidden object especially when it's obvious. The music was horrible but turning it off and the sounds associated didn't work for me. Then again, I didn't play this in Windows. I played 3 screens before getting irritated with the music and the fact there's zero brain power needed to play other than operating your hand to click the mouse button. It would be a hoot if I was 5 but I'm pushing 60. Nice offering for kids or if you are extremely bored. As for me, I'd rather have my teeth pulled than to play this game.

Oh almost forgot, because I am on Linux (Zorin Core OS 15.2 to be exact), I wasn't sure how to install from a zip file since I haven't been using Zorin for a long time. I don't recall if I used Linux Mint 19.3 or 20 and installed GameGiveawayoftheDay offerings or how my OS would handle the wrapper, so, I went to the toomkygames website and downloaded it there.

This was all going so well until I hit the game where you have to move/swap tiles to may a picture. Without a reference or starting point, it was pretty much impossible. Uninstalled

Tony Huby,
The bottom edge of the picture is there. Not a lot to go on, but enough to find the bottom pieces fairly easily.

Installed fine on Win10 64. The game is a very basic hidden object with either named or outlined objects to find. Every section also has a picture arrange the pieces puzzle. There isn't a lot to it, I finished the whole thing in an hour. Each scene has 3 hints available, using them does not effect the next scene.

Tried this game but the items you have to find are often blurry or there are a few that would match the description. Even in 'casual' mode you are fined for a wrong click. I did a few screens but there is no storyline so I lost interest quite quickly. Thanks Whiterabbit. Rest well!

The link to "Conway's Game of Life" actually pointed to a game called "Grub Dub" and the link to "White Mask" won't open.
