Checked last night and it still said it would be another two days before the next giveaway. as it's almost evening and i've just started on tomorrows review, I won't post a review of today's game.

I downloaded this "game"vto my laptop and upon installation it polluted my desktop with link to other game websites.
It was very invasive and it took me a good while to delete all the references to other sites.
I do not appreciate this type of download and GAOTD should vet all FREE programs before allowing them to post on the board.
If I was in charge of GAOTD I'd delete all of these game traps.

Whiterabbit-uk, I've also experienced the odd occassion when turning on my vpn service has helped as well when I've otherwise been unable to download something from here... although I haven't needed to very often.

Allowing software on GAOTD with a title like this is both irresponsible and unacceptable. In this day and age when people are trying so hard to be PC, Christians should be extended the same courtesy. If the game title had been 'The Gods Hate Us' that would be OK, but it isn't. Plus for all those that say it is only a game, yes it is only a game but World War III would start if the title was 'Blacks versus Whites' wouldn't it, so extend the same care and attention to everyone else. Shame on you GAOTD!

Lighten up and don't take it too seriously.
If you want to complain about games or titles, I remember years ago when a games goal was to drive a really fast car and run down pedestrians accumulating points. Extra points were given if you hit a disabled person in a wheelchair or a pregnant lady pushing a baby carriage.
Now that's a game to complain about but very few people actually complained because of one reason. "IT'S A GAME!!!!" It was not real life.

Aren't Christians free to choose their actions? What's the point of forcing/forbidding someone to do something (for instance by blocking some violent game), if we believe they have free will?

I would say that it depends on whether or not that was the title of a computer game of go (or gomoku) or chess. Or (and such a game did exist once!) Spy vs. Spy from the old Mad magazine comic strip.
I have to agree with bob's advice that you shouldn't take it so seriously — or so personally,
PS: Not all of us are "trying so hard to be PC." Some of us believe that "PC," despite its original laudable aims (yes, some of us here pre-date "PC!") has often been dragged far beyond credible limits by those who are keen to find things to be offended and outraged about. So, "PC?" Yes, but let's not support the so-called "cancel culture, which IMHO is just as bad as being "non-PC."

It seems the ability to be offended for trivial reasons continues. This is a game, nothing more. It is designed to entertain and give hours of fun to those who enjoy this style of game. People have put thought, effort and time into making it and it's being given away for free.
If you check back through history, there are many examples where violence, wars and torture have been perpetrated in the name of religion. You'd be hard pressed to find any that was due to the title of a PC game. If you are going to take offence, make it at something that deserves such a response.
