A physics based trajectory platformer

Sailor Jump is a challenging physics based trajectory game where you have to move your character from various columns, adjusting the trajectory of the sailors jump so that he lands on the column. If you miss, you restart from the last column you jumped from. Some columns have ice on them, so they are slippy and more difficult to land on, some columns have items to collect, but I couldn't find the significance of this?

In the top right hand corner there are three buttons, the first one changes the screen from wide screen to normal, the second one takes you back to the main menu and the third closes the game down. If you change the screen perspective to normal, you cannot change it back unless you close the game down and restart. The game is mouse controlled; to make the sailor jump you have to first start the level by clicking on the forward pointing arrow located along the bottom of the screen. Then click on the sailor and drag your mouse pointer in the direction you want to jump then let go of the mouse button.

There are three different endless levels called Sunny Beach, Dark Water and Hell; you can see what each level looks like via the images below. Once you've selected the level you wish to play you'll see three buttons along the bottom of the game play area, the first as mentioned elsewhere starts the level, the second toggles the music on or off and the third (question mark) tells you what to do with your mouse to make the sailor jump. To start, click on the first button along the bottom, then click on the sailor then drag the mouse in the direction he needs to jump taking account of the trajectory. The longer you drag the mouse pointer away from the sailor, the more powerful the jump. The number of successful jumps is counted and your best jump score is kept as a record.

Although a cheap retro looking game (only £0.79 on Steam), I found this quite challenging and in small doses worth keeping i.e an game worth keeping to play when you need a coffee break (to see if I could improve on my best score, which at this point stands at 4 jumps) .
