Rescue Lucy 2 was available as a giveaway on August 15, 2019!
A sequel of the mystical adventures of salvation of Lucy, filled with secrets and horror.
Windows 7 and above
Rescue Lucy 2
Rescue Lucy 2 follows on from Rescue Lucy, (which we received here on the 6th August. It is a point and click, escape the room adventure game, the aim of which is to find your dog Lucy, who hasn’t returned home. As before I would recommend this game to any point and click, mystery, adventure, HOG lover. It’s not a full blown HOG but does have HOG elements. Those adept at this sort of adventure game can easily complete it in less than half an hour, novices will probably get at the most a couple of hours of game time. Once completed there isn't any alternate endings, so replayability is virtually nil, unless like me you have an appalling memory.
The game installs to C:\Program Files (x86)\Rescue Lucy 2, by default. If you choose to install the games shortcut, there will five shortcuts installed to the desktop. The four internet shortcuts can be deleted safely. The installed game is 74.9MB in size.
To find Lucy you have to search various rooms in the mansion for clues and items that you pick up. You will require these items to move from most rooms you enter, either by creating tools, finding keys;key cards or access codes, or using items to kill monsters that you encounter during your search for Lucy. You’ll find lots of puzzles to solve and monsters to avoid or kill to survive your stay in this mansion. To use an item you go to the inventory by clicking on the semi transparent blue box in the bottom left corner of the game screen and select the item you want to use. When you click on an item it will appear in between the combining arrows and the downward pointing blue arrow to the left of the inventory. Clicking on the blue arrow will return you back to the room. Some items will need to be combined before you can use them. When combining you choose the first item then click on the inward pointing arrows then click on the second item that is required to combine the items together. This will then appear in the action window below the combining arrow icon. Once selected return to the room and use your item, for example (spoiler) to open the mansion door you require a crowbar, which you’ll need to find somewhere in the game image. Once you are inside the mansion, you can choose to go upstairs or through the door on the right, or attempt to open a door to your left. The door to your left is locked, so you’ll need to find a key, then go to the inventory to select it. Then you can open the door on the left. You’ll sometimes though not as frequently as the first game be confronted by monsters and a timer that is counting down from 5. If you stay until the counter reaches zero, and haven’t figured out how to kill the monster, you die. The best thing to do when you encounter one of these monsters is to leave the room by clicking the blue arrow located in the right hand bottom of the screen, then open your inventory to figure out what you require to kill the monster. The monsters in this game are easier to kill compared to the first game, but I’ll let you discover how that is accomplished yourselves. Please don’t watch any of the videos if you don’t want spoilers.

If you enjoyed playing the first one in the series, you’ll probably like this one. I found the second one a slight improvement on the first one. Most of the challenges such as the frequent puzzles and the hidden objects are relatively easy to find and/or solve, so this is an ideal family oriented game although for younger children, the skeletons and occasional monsters as well as the mild violence may be innappropriate. I do recommend you download this and try it for yourself. It’s not one of those £0.79 games we often see during the weekday giveaways. The developer has put some thought into the construction and I would give this a 7.5 out of 10 for reasonable game play for family fun, or if you are a hardened adventure point and click fan, this may be a little too easy for your tastes.
The game was released on Steam recently HERE and several steam comments/reviews, (only 1 in English) HERE
