I can’t believe it was six months ago that this was originally given away. Please follow the link below to see the comments made back then:

http://game.giveawayoftheday.com/rip-strike-back/#comments

This second release was IMO better than the first one (which was given away a few days ago) because you were no longer fixed to the centre of the playing arena, but were able to roam around the arena at will. The same characters figure as the previous version. If you follow the link above to the original comments you will find a link to games tips.

Out od 222 votes 91% gave this a thumbs up. Nice one. Well worth a download s it is different enough from the first to warrant it.

Thank you Elephant Games and the Gamegiveaway tea for giving me the opportunity of downloading this again. It will certainly be going on my new system. :)

Cute, though wish they actually put in some TEXT in the "story mode" to explain why we're blasting all this stuff. Else, why call it a "story mode" at all?

Does not play well with Vista 64 bit edition. I tried Administrator mode, compatibility mode, no dice. Locks up on the first load screen. Does not play well with 64 bit OS from what I've read from other commenter notes.

Nice, downloaded and beat it in like 3.5 hours with Rock 'N Roll.
I wouldn't mind seeing the third version up for offer here :)

The only con's about this game are:

Not very good graphics (Still fun)
The sound sometimes quit on me (maybe it's just something to do with my speakers?)
Could be a bigger variety of weapons.

All the same, still fun! Thanks Giveaway!

On a small note, I suggest CrimsonLand for a Game GiveAway.

A huge thank you to GGAOTD for this next installment to this series of game. The first one was a lot of fun, not only for the kids, but for me as well.

On the side, a huge thank you also to WhiteRabbit, for the reviews of the software and the quality of this one vs the first. It helped a lot in making my decision to try this one out.

Downloaded and installed! Looks like a lot of fun. Thank goodness summer vacation is almost here.

My question is
do we only get the 60 minutes to play?
or because we downloaded it here and now, we should have eternity?
how do i go beyond the 60 minutes?

Newbie here,
Thanks

Re: #10, WhiteRabbit: The details on McAfee Site Advisor's page show all pay game downloads from Elephant Games were found safe. Those safe normally-pay games have been the ones offered here, including today's game. It was only two freeware games, a freeware version of Avalon and a freeware version of Road Rush that were found by Site Advisor to contain adware. Those freeware versions are no longer offered on the Elephant Games site, so it appears Site Advisor needs to update their ratings. No worries on today's game or the previous games GGOTD offered from Elephant Games, all are safe.

The only other reason Site Advisor rated Elephant Games as red was for possible linking to other red sites. But as we all know "linking" to other sites usually means accepting linked advertisements from sites that may be red. Most sites need to accept advertisement links to stay in business and remain free to all. Even safe search engine sites such as Google accept advertisement links from sites rated as red by Site Advisor, such as all those "free 3D screensavers" sites. Accepting advertising links does not constitute endorsement by the host site, advertising links are just necessary evils to keep the majority of the internet free to all. Otherwise there would be many more sites operating on a pay-as-you-go or pay-to-use basis.

I did download the game and tried to play it. I am not very good at using mouse to turn the "hero". Also the game was just a bit too dark, don't care for the game so have removed it. Thank you GAOTD for giving us a chance to try new games. Always enjoy finding something new everyday.

Loved the first RIP game...when I could play it.
It would just randomly freeze up my computer between levels at different points so I'd just have to reboot. After a few tries, I gave up in frustrations and uninstalled.
Not going to bother with this one since it will probably do the same thing.

Even on "easy" I can't get any where. I guess I'm too slow for this game, plus having to use the arrows to move and the mouse to shot is hard because you have to move the keyboard so far to the left to use the arrows. Don't think this is the game for me, but thanks anyway.

Comment #8 Hellaskicker, I've just checked out the third game in the RIP series and it has been updated nicely with three additional characters and new weapons, however I doubt this will be given away as it's on their 'new' list. I'm considering buying it once I've played the first two to death as it does have multiplayer and coop added so will add so much more to the game play. Nice game and if comparing all three I would say it is the best. Personally though some of the upgrades you see in the second game, That is, this giveaway, doesn't justify a whole new game. They should have been added as an update to the first game. However there aren't many game developers who would be so generous. :( I'm very happy and grateful that I got both versions free. It definitely makes it worth while buying the third one. :D

Yeah, this is a nice update to the first RIP. I'm really pleased that you are now able to move your character with this sequel.

This version is definitely an improvement on the first release. There are also other small improvements in the game play such as the level attainments etc. Thank you lots Elephant Games and the GGAotD team for providing us with the sequel to RIP; I’ll have to download the third game from the home site to see what it's like, as I'm curious to see what improvements have been made to it. When it comes time to format my discs it looks like one of these will be worth buying.

Thanks for the link to game hints Bjarne comment #6. My son is always interested in those, lol, although I personally love to discover for myself. :D
