About comment: honestly think “USER ERROR” . I mean most people have their machines so mucked up with malware nothing works right.
My PC Is very clean no spyware at all so I think it's a bug In this version.

Also never got it working, with 3.8Ghz Intel Pentium, 1G memory, NVidea 6600 PCI-E video. Next time I should try the game before the activation expires.

Just noticed the stats for this one, NaN thumbs down? how big did the number get to to make it slip its bounds into Not a Number error?
I know for certain it has at least one thumbs down, I am pretty sure the 100% thumbs up it a slight error.

Well I installed and ran this on 7 different computers all with different hardware. It ran fine on all, including AMD/ATI combo's. I honestly think "USER ERROR" . I mean most people have their machines so mucked up with malware nothing works right. Most people don't even understand basic computing and software concepts. So allowing them to post on boards like this is Ludicrous.

Won't run on my Gateway pc, 2.8ghz pentium 820 cpu, 6800gs video card, plenty of memory. Windows Media Center operating system. Get an error every time I tried to launch the program. Tried installing twice. Is any help available?

"Atecy RealBall has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." No joy. I easily meet all the minimum requirements and I keep my drivers updated. I have a Pentium 4 2.4 GHz and a nVidia 5200. Windows XP and 512 MB RAM. I hope someone figures out the problem with this game. Looks like a good one.

TK doesn't have the right idea. It seems to be a problem with AMD or Radeon compatibility. For me, I am using an Intel Centrino Duo, Radeon X1400, 1 gb RAM laptop. It gives me an OpenGL error immediately after opening it.

I love arkanoid games, so ignore the requests not to put anymore up. I have over 120 different arkanoid clones, most of them have enough differences so to arkanoid fans all are well worth having. Thanks to the GOTD team I've started to expand my horizons and already have enjoyed several other genre, however arkanoid still rules. Thankyou so much. I was lucky enought to have at least one of my computers compatable with the game as it runs like a dream.
Anyone who WANTS links to download several reasonably decent FREE ARKANOID GAMES contact me via my Email (Whiterabbit-uk@hotmail.co.uk) you may have to wait a while for my reply though as I use that Email for my forum posts and there are always loads to reply to, but I will send you some links eventually.

Works great on my old Dell. Another great giveaway...

Didn't work on my Dell P4, 1Gb RAM but works nicely on my HP Athlon X2, 2 Gb. Since the error was on video startup on the dell I suspect some kind of video driver issue is involved. My household has enjoyed the GGoTD site.

This one wouldn't work for me either - first game from DOTD which crashed when trying to run it on my machine.

I tried 2 other computers (ref #50) and they installed fine (ref #52). I had the same problems as Obijuan (#39) on the HP machine. Although this computer would update one frame per 1 to 2 seconds. And the ball was already passed me before I would know it.
HP 1.2 GHZ AMD
384MB of RAM
NVIDIA GeForce2 MX400 (64MB installed)
DELL XPS DXP051
Pentium D 2.80GHZ
1GB of RAM
RADEON X300 SE 128MB HyperMemory
This Dell would just popup a Send MS Error Report when I tried to run it (nothing else happens). I didn't peek, but I could if needed.

"Thumbs down" on this one. Check my "feedback" as lwbjag on the fourms. A waste of time and effort, considering so many other options.
Hopefully "Realore" will learn from this before releasing the next product.

Great game to kill some hours up to level 72 and no problems so far . PS watch out for those reset power ups. Those suck

I believe the program causing an error and having to shut down under XP is all to do with file access permisions with "installing" on one account and playing on another. A solution is to enable file sharing with full read-write permisions for the folder you've installed it to.
It is not too great with the control interface. I get best results in windowed mode and have noticed under XP SP2 it doesn't always change mode cleanly so it's best to force game close if window rendering goes bad, when you re-start the game it should render corectly, if not then better at least. It really needs to have it's file location settings rewritten to permit placing the user settings into the the per-user Application Data folders to avoid the file access permissions altogether. The OpenGL code needs updating to be compatible with the newer versions too!
Note that due to this not being installed in the normal sense, you do not need to be logged in as an admin to "install" it. It can be done in the target limited user account. I would suggest installing to a different folder for each user wanting to run it if you wish to avoid using the folder sharing hack.
It was unplayably slow under win98SE on an AMD Athon XP 2400+ with 1G DDR SDRAM and Nvidia GeForce MX 4000 using a pen and tablet as gui control. IMHO not the best of GGAOTD offerings, never mind tomorrows will, no doubt, be better :-)

I think we have had enough of these arkanoid/breakout/brick buster games. It is a fun type of game, but I think it's time to vary the selection a little more. That said, I do love the game and the site.

Wow lots of problems from others. I have a 4 month old Gateway MX6124 (Celeron M 1.5GHZ) laptop with 512MB of RAM with Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 900 Dynamic Video Memory Technology (DVMT) supports up to 128 MB shared video memory (it's using 64MB). And it works great here (no jitters or anything). Nor did I ever have a single problem with anything GAOTD has offered yet! I'll try it on a brand new Dell and an old HP and get back to you all. And keep up the great job GAOTD!!! Those that installed the trial version and it worked, did you try to install this one over it? Just a thought.

Didn't work for me. Error msgbox on load. Deleted files and glad I back up my registry beforehand, thanks to other comments. Use erunt from http://www.larshederer.homepage.t-online.de/erunt/. It's free, it works, better than setting a restore point, which frequently doesn't restore.

I join with the litany of others who have found the game does not run. The machine is way beyond the game's minimum requirements (Pentium 4, 3.0 GHz Processor, 1GB of Ram, Radeon X700 Graphics card, Windows XP service pack 2) It's in the game programming. Back to the drawing board boys.

Wouldn't work on my Gateway (AMD processor) that meets all the requirements. Too bad, as my friend got it this morning and it's working perfectly on his 6-year-old laptop.
Thanks anyway, I love this site and all the games, and programs, you make available to us.

I installed just fine but the cursor control was impossible -- very jerky and slow. Graphics were blurry and I was getting maybe 10 frames a second. Kind of cute. I think I'd give this one a pass.

This is the second game from Realore that I have had problems installing. It never goes to my default/games. I have to download it to c: and install a desktop shortcut myself. Seems to be a problem with Realore. Never had a problem with any other downloads from this site. Wonder why so many people are having trouble with these games from Realore. Must be on there part.
Thanks for all the games. Hope that the downloads will be easier for everyone in the future.

This program downloaded, extracted, and registered just fine . . . but when you click on the icon to play it says it has encountered an error and needs to shut down .. . I've got a brand new, fully loaded computer so it is not a computer problem . . . Obviously needs some tweeking before being offered . . . To solve the problem I've erased it completely from my hard drive and will not re-install it . . .

This is the second game I have downloaded from this website that doesn't seem to want to work properly. I love the free games, and I think that it's great that you all have them, but hopefully tomorrow's game will work for me.

I tried three times with both the main download and then with the mirror, and each time I unzipped the game, on going to the folder to play the game (It doesn't automatically produce a shortcut on the desk top or in the start menu)after clicking the game icon I received a microsoft error message saying "Atecy RealBall has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" A familiar message to some community members I bet. Not to be deterred I then downloaded the game onto my other computer that's connected to the internet and it worked first time. All I can suggest at this time is that it could be something to do with the graphics drivers, or possibly another driver on the computer. I've come across this problem a few times with other arcade games that I've bought. And also with big name games. Apparently some ATI driver versions seem to cause conflicts, but I don't know the details.
With respect to the game It's well worth having as a freebie; I almost bought this game a few months ago after downloading a demo. What stopped me was that there are several more games of this genre that in my opinion are better. Not meaning to denegrate the game itself though as it's a very playable game with some merits. For example it has a generous number of positive powerups (19) with some global effects such as left and right directional winds that cause the ball to veer as well as an earthquake powerup, that's not included in the 19 I indicated above. There are only several negative powerups, that are usually found in these games, such as shrink bat and ball etc. also you can gain extra balls by collecting crystals. The Graphics are okay, although the bricks could have had more colorful combinations. The overal graphical presentation is average for a 3D arkanoid game. The physics of the game are good. There is also a generous number of boards included (150). To be able to progress you need to complete ten boards at a time, otherwise you start at the beginning of whichever set you'd started. So if you're on say for example board 39, don't give up till you've played at least one more board otherwise the next time you boot up the game you'll be starting at board 31 again. Carrying on to board 40 enables you to start afresh at some other time at board 40.
Nice giveaway of the day, as Arkanoid/brick busting games are my favorite. Having bought over 120 of these in the past year I'm amazed that out of all the games you've included in this genre I've not had two of them (Arkanoid TV! and this one. (I'd already purchased Magic Ball and Strikeball delux previously) It's a pity that a large proportion of the community can't play this game as it is one of the better ones (in my opinion of course)
