Ok. Thanks Fubar. I won't worry about it. It just freaked me out because I've left far bigger games running before and that's never happened.

#59, relax. Games tend to use a lot of compute. When you left your computer unattended, it probably started maintenance tasks (typically after 10-30 minutes of inactivity), and simply ran out of compute (your symptoms matched). All you needed to do was turn it off and back on.

Maybe it's perception, maybe it's culture, not sure. But if you have a problem with this card game and your kids, don't put it where they can't access it.
I don't see anything overtly terrible about this deck of cards, I wasn't even going to get the game until I saw the complaints. Nudity is quite acceptable in many parts of the world, something some people unfortunately need to come to grasp with. This is a mere cartoon, not some overly blatant photo after all.
As I said if you have a problem with this, your choice, then the simple solution is not to get the game and it is not blaming the developers.

"i dont say that gladly, but this is a totaly children game
Please more Action 3d games"

Umm...there ARE parents WITH children out there ( wow what a concept, think you can greasp that??) that may actually enjoy this game for there kids. ( Just don't choose the erotic set!! ;D )

"Ain’t wasting my time today on this crap.
Since that I could not get the spaceinceptor working yesterday."

Speak ENGLISH much? Piece of crap? Probably some very happy kids out there than don't think so you single minded egocentric dwarf!

"i’m sorry but a carrot shaped house??? whoever made this should really get a life."

Get a life? He may actually have one, designing games for KIDS!!

What is with you ungrateful, spoiled brats? Everyday something is wrong...Whining "it's too big", "It's for kids" "I don't like the ame makers" Whine rant piss and moan....how about freakin' feeling GRATEFUL to GAOTD for giving you morons ANYTHING after your behavior. If I owned GAOTD, I would ban you from receiving free giveaways based on your behavior alone! GROW UP!

What an odd little game. I only tried practice mode. I could click pair or suit matches to form the tepee but if there wasn't an open spot for the pair, you couldn't do anything. Just stuck. Didn't say 'no more moves' etc. Also could tell the suit on face cards. Had nothing to do with carrots OR rabbits. This may all have to do with practice mode; anyway, I uninstalled it. Thanks GAOTD for the chance.

I commented earlier about the exotic deck problem but something else just happened. I had the game on and had to leave my computer. Did not intend to stay away for 2 hr.s but life happens. When I just came back, my computer was grinding away and nothing would initially respond. Couldn't even do cntrl alt del. Then the game and my desktop icons were line by line disappearing and reappearing. Scary. I finally had to crash it. First thing I did upon booting up was uninstall all remnants of that game. That does it for me. No more DoubleGames. That was freaky.

Hi. I like card games & feel very foolish because I don't see how the game pragmatically works. The concept is easy - build by pairs. But do the 20 pointer actually go above or below? Try it. The 21 pointers are to be as lead and placed below? TRY ACTUALLY PLAYING.

After getting four pairs I can't seem to get any more of the pairs that will actually "stay" anywhere.

Thanks -Good Luck

For the life of me I cannot understand how it is that DoubleGames has not been investigated or otherwise seen legal action. If not for the (exceedingly) poor quality of their games, or the misleading advertising of their "$14.95" games; they absolutely should be for marketing card games with erotic decks to children. Like this. With no disclaimer whatsoever.

Don't get me wrong, I like an erotic card deck as much as the next person, but it should NEVER EVER EVER be in a game aimed at children, period. And this one obviously is. That's so wrong. I'm not even sure it's legal.

But then it IS DoubleShame after all, whose activity has always bordered on the illegal or at least immoral....

The rabbit setup for this game seems pretty silly, but the puzzle game itself is nice.

The graphics are colorful and cheery, and the music and sound effects can be turned off and on. There doesn't seem to be a way to control the volume, though. The only setting seems to be the design of the card. It can run as a window, and seems to be completely turn based.

As a puzzle game, the idea is to build a house of cards by placing pairs of cards on top of each other. A pair of cards can only be placed on another pair of cards if the sum of the top level pair is less than or equal to the sum of the lower level pair. It feels like a solitaire variation. There are some exceptions along the way, but that's the basic puzzle design.

Overall, it's easy and fast to start, and simple controls. It's the type of game one plays when waiting at the airport.

But my mother likes it! I download the game, installed fine. It works great in Windows XP. You can play in Full Screen or in Window. I like the second view. So a word about the game itself: the graphics are not that bad and you have some great backgrounds and animation.

For a 5-10 minute play between hard work it is great.

Thanks DoubleGames and GGAOTD!

A cardhouse building game? And I'm wondering why it took unitl 5 AM to get this up.... I can just see the GGOTD people running around frantically because nobody would give them a game. The were about to resort to scripting pong for us, so i guess we should be grateful for the cherry rabbit... which sounds delicious! But anyway, no thanks GGOTD... I think i would have preferred that pong game...

Just a warning to anyone thinking this is a good child's game. This game also has the erotic card deck like previous games from this company. ;( If a game is made that looks enticing for children......why the heck put an erotic deck choice on it? Doesn't make sense.

It may look like a kids game, until you click settings and see that 'Erotic' is one of the card type options.

This is actually not that bad, for a DG anyway, I only played it for about 15 minutes in practice mode but here is what I figured out.

You have to build card “houses” (pyramids) by matching either the numbers or suits. You must build by having a smaller pair on top of a larger pair. (For example: 15 cannot sit on 12 it makes all 4 cards go away) A card pair worth 20 points acts like cement and a card pair worth 21 acts like balsa wood, both make your “house” much stronger. Place a card pair worth 20 on top of a smaller pair and it “cements” it in place, a card pair worth 21 does the same thing but is much stronger.

There are jokers in the deck & if you find one the top “floor” of your “house” will be blown away, unless you have a 20 or 21 pair sitting up there then those will stay & the rest get blown away (only on the top “floor”). Find 2 jokers & your game is over!

This has the usual boring (peppy) music that repeats over & over & over……….

I ran this on Vista Home Premium without any problems (so far) just make sure you EXTRACT the files before installing.

The only problem I have with this game so far as children go: there is the option of playing with an “EROTIC” deck of cards & I found no way of turning this option off, there are actually 6 different decks to choose from: Classic, Erotic, Pirates, Gangsters, Japan & Prehistoric.
If you let your children play this game just be aware that option is available to anyone who starts this game.

Once the game started & I figured out how to match the cards (just click on any two that match by number or suit) it was actually kind of fun, a good time waster or relaxing game. The levels do get harder; you get only a certain amount of cards and need to build your “house” without many mistakes.

I hope this helps someone to make a decision.
Have a great day :~)

This is the same thing as Castle of Cards, also from Double Games. The graphics and sounds were changed, perhaps in an attempt to make the game more appealling to a younger audience. Everything else is the same. Unlike most, I actually downloaded this game and tried it. I think this a fun game to play, but it won't entertain for very long. It's very easy and requires only minimal thought or strategy, but it's fun enough for 10 minutes or so.

I was wondering how long it would take before there would be another offering from doublegames. The complainers were grasping at straws lately with all the great offerings from Merscom!
Although this isn't my cup of tea, I am really happy with GGOTD and the fact that we get free games!!
If it's something I am not interested in, I won't be complaining, you have already given me more than I could hope for in great free games!!

Unlike Roger the Rabbit, I am not a "cherry fellow", having been screwed several times by DoubleGames.
If their games were even a little bit interesting or original or more professionally developed, they might be worthwhile for young children.
Unfortunately (or fortunately), I've learned to stay away from DoubleGames. They stopped deserving the benefit of the doubt a long time ago.

Almost exactly like a game previously offered except for the setting which is carrots and a rabbit hole, cute but very juvenile. The game would be great for kids except for the fact that one of the card faces that you can choose from is a naked female torso. The graphics are good The music is slightly upbeat but repetitious. The instructions were fine and did explain how to get the most points. The game ran well and was the time waster it was meant to be. I will probably keep this one until I need to free up some space.

**See my review on April 28 - Castle of Cards**
Prepare for an onslaught of negative ratings on this one.
This is a repackaging of a previously offered game here at GGotD. It appears more specifically aimed at kids with cartoon graphics and a rabbit theme. There are still female nude pictures available in the choices for decks. To market the product in the US, there is evidently an expectation of a lockout feature or perhaps GGotD could mention it above so folks could be aware before download.

There is some poor interface and jerky movement as the cards are dealt and drift across the screen in both small and large screen. I also had a few of the cards already built mysteriously disappear when placed to the far right.
Acer Incorporated CPU
AMD Sempron Processor 3200+
1.00 GHz, 1.43 GB of RAM
OS Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 2
I use Mozilla Firefox.

I uninstalled the first version "Castle of Cards" because of boredom, and this version didn't hold me much longer - even with the promise of new features. I will offer the following: The music is still awful and I turned it off after a minute or so. I found no math errors this time, a huge improvement for a game involving numbers. The menu has improved, including instructions which I don't believe were in the first version. There are now two versions of gameplay, progressive and endless.

Keep trying DoubleGames, I think re-purposing the game while making improvements is fine, but you'll continue to get negative feedback here with nude pictures if there's no warning or lockout feature.
