Atlantis Quest is one of the best match 3 games I have ever played, and no 60 minute limit!

I really enjoy this game a fresh approach to the match three's that are available. sound is nice and does not ear at you like other puzzles.

I really like getting up in the morning and seeing what is offered, it feels like everyday is one of those surprize boxes that we all had when we were kids.

Not as good as Age of Japan II for example but still quite nice. And works flawlessly here :)

I got addicted to this game but now I can't get the Egypt level. Too hard and not enough time and the mouse seems to be hard to click on the game. I finally got through The Rise of Atlantis because there was more time on it.

Installed it, played a little, Rise of Atlantis was a better game; this seemed like an earlier and unpolished version of it.

I quite like the Rise of Atlantis (almost finished--I think) so I was eager to try out this sequel. It plays pretty well. It's harder, I think (after the first few levels). One thing I don't like is in the ROA, you could earn points through matching 4 or more and build up a power strike so you didn't have to always use your power ups. Not so here and by the time I got to level 4 I had to use up everything I had. There needs to be more power-ups if you're not going to have the power strike to charge up. I also like the music in ROA better, although this game is not bad--sounds a bit like cirque du soleil.

I agree about Montezuma's treasure--I LOVED that game and would love to see a sequel. I do like these storyline games like that, ROA, Mahjongg Artifacts, etc.

Strange. I'd really like to know why I'm apparently the only one who cannot make contact with the activation server today. Until now it has always worked, and I haven't changed a thing since yesterday. So now it seems I'm forced to cut out on this game unfortunately...

Copmom #67 nice they sent you the slightly slower version; I don't know how long it took me to beat this game when I first got it, but I am now on my third time through (I have 52 lives). I am almost old enough to have my own song for a year (64), but my arthritis is only in my knees and ankles...

Also, I ran the DirectX Diagnostic Tool (>> "Test Direct3D" ) and it reported no problem with Direct3D.

Installed and activated properly.
Runs only in 16-bit or 32-bit and hence gave me an error (I was running on 24-bit). Changed it to 16-bit, unfortunately now it gives this error on start up - "Could not reset the Direct3D device. The Sample will now exit."

PC Config -

Thanks Whiterabbit.. will go to that link! And... for those of you that really can NOT beat the last parts of Atlantis Quest.. I sent an email to the makers of the game (Playrix), and even though these are not covered by tech support, someone very nicely sent me another version of it that was a bit easier.. allowed a bit more time on those harder levels! I explained that at my age (59+ a LOT of tax), and arthritis, it was hard to go as quickly as I needed to.. so she sent me a slowed down version! That was SO nice!

Regarding yesterdays comment and repeated here today, about the availability of yesterday’s game as a free version elsewhere for free every day being a cracked version. That is not true. The games from those sites, (Gametop being one of them) all of which are connected are given out under license, and paid for by the Forex Trading Corporation. The only payment you make is the browser window that opens whenever you close down any game from those sites after playing them, which takes you to the home page of the site you downloaded the game from. I've downloaded quite a few of the games from the Game Top site and have been doing for around 2 years now and apart from the browser link have never received any warnings from any of my antivirus software, who's definitions are upgraded every day, when downloading software, but have also never got pop ups or other unwanted stuff, which if you go to any site that peddles cracks and other warez, you will almost certainly find.

I, too, had problems with the game. After downloading and installing I set it to play game where it went to a one time screen it had to unpack when the game opened nothing worked and my computer locked down. Even control alt delete wouln't work. I had to force it down and reboot. Game seemed to work fine then, but I don't appreciate having to go through the disk check etc it caused. I run XP and IE on a computer with a 1G ram, so if it was hogging all that memory it definitely has a problem.

started playing Atlantis Quest as soon as i activated it. played two hours before the game forced me to stop.
i clicked on a bonus powerup while the game was switching to end of level point calculations(hadn't realized i'd just release the last puzzle part) and i lost my cursor!
escape took me to the end game screen, but i couldnt select Save game cause it needed the cursor to do it. so i hit Ctrl-Alt-Del which popped me back to my Win XP-Pro Desktop, and i hurried over here to let everyone know:
1. this game is fun and challenging.
2. love the background music
3. the mouse glitch is Really annoying.
i am going to try some other keyboard presses, but i havent been a game tester in decades, so if you don't hear back.... i've been eaten by bits and pixels.

ok, back. the cursor was only disappeared, as i discovered when i tried to find it again and noticed the buttons glowing as it (invisible cursor) activated each in turn. the arrow keys will alternate between menu choices and when what you want is lit, hit Enter. the button i was selecting indented, and my game was saved.

hope this helps the people who click faster than the machine (or program) changes screens.

I have downloaded this twice, but when I get it installed a box comes up which says installation error; and then pixel depth is not equal - 16 or 32. Does anyone know what this means and why it will not work? i want it so mcuh and am so frustrated. I dont' suppose trying again will work.
Anyone have any ideas?

Thank you for another game - I have a few nice matching ones, but will give this a try after all the great comments. The download and install was done in under 5 minutes and works fine on Windows XP. The story is nice, music is nice and is a classic matching game, but the special pieces do add a little fun. I'll keep it for a few days and give it a longer try. Thanks !

I'm already on my 4th go around on Rise of Atlantis, and can't tell you how many times I've played Atlantis Quest! #51 and I seem to both like the same things.
One thing I am getting mighty paranoid about! I keep seeing people comment that they've had some game or other before and lost everything because of a HD crash or having to format their machines and are ahppy to see them offered again!!!! What can we do to avoid losing everything we have?? My motto is: "expect the unexpected", and I don't want to lose all my favorites!!! There's TOO many of them!! Any suggestions??

This must be the prequil to the *excellent* "Rise of Atlantis" - the game feels a little more primative, and graphics & sound aren't nearly as good, and at least so far (I've played the first few screens) it moves much more slowly than "Rise."

I'm not complaining - just spoiled, maybe. It's still a great game (or will be if it gets faster), but not quite up to par with Rise of Atlantis. And it works great with Vista.

This game is one of the best in his kind.
The graphics are superb and the music and noises are amazing.
The game is not so easy as "Rise of Atlantis"
At first it is not so difficult but it is getting more difficult later on in the game. So be careful with your lifes.
This game realy has all it takes to like it and keep on liking it.

It started out vey easy and I thought there wasn't going to be a challenge but by the 4th level it starts to become pleasantly more difficult. It's even partially Biblically correct (the part about King Nebuchadnezzar). Thanks GGOTD This is a keeper!

If this game is anything like "Rise of Atlantis" or Monty's Treasures, it will be a keeper here. I really injoy the match games as it is a way for me to unwind at the end of the day or when my stress level starts to rise. Thank you for these great games GAOTD!!
I also love the Mahjongg Artifacts... great story line to get to the next levels... Same with Montezuma's Treasures... Please keep them coming... Just an idea for new types... how about some solve it type mystery games???

I love this game; it is very similiar to Rise of Atlantis, but harder. I have beaten this game 2 or three times but keep coming back; the last level is a real bear and you will need your tools here. It also helps to have lots of "lives" left at the end as well. I too am a fan of Treasure's of Montezuma (finally figured out how to use the totems and the game is much easier). Thanks GGOTD for repeating this one (It goes on my new laptop today)

All good things come to those who wait! I wasn't aware of this site when this was offered last year and only learned it had been offered a few weeks ago when "Rise of Atlantis" was offered. I had played this on line and loved it. Even looked for this game in stores and had it on my Christmas wish list! This is a really good match 3 game with great contrast for my low vision. Love the windowed moede. Thank you, thank you, thank you to Playrix Entertainment and GGOTD for repeating such an awesome game !!! :)

Sherman & I were just about to embark on the quest for Atlantis when I espied a terribly discomfiting aquatic mirage. The software designers have attempted to depict the submerged city in an animated diorama without consulting an aquarist. They have mixed freshwater black moor goldfish, fresh/brackishwater tropical killifish and an unidentified marine reef fish. This prepostrous ecosystem makes it impossible for me to concentrate on the game. The devil's in the details! If we allow them to get away with this, what's next? Mermaids living in bathtubs? The Loch Ness Monster spotted in a King's Dominion wave pool?

When this first came out I played this quite a bit. It was definitely worth the download. As many others have said, it gets very, very hard, and I'm stuck and gave up. (I really like Rising of Atlantis better, because even though it got very hard, it was surmountable. I'm now on Journey 5.) If #13-Patricia wants to post the cheat for this game in the forums, I'd be really happy and willing to try it!

I usually don't like music on games, and normally turn it off, but the music to this game is very relaxing and enjoyable to listen to. I also really like the graphics--very eye-pleasing.
