No Signal
In Brief
No Signal is a ship runner game made with Game Maker Studio
Installation:
No Signal downloads to an 11.5 MB zip file that unzips to two files, (a setup executable and a read me). The installed game is 12.2 MB in size. The game installs to the following path by default, but can be changed if you wish.
C:\Program Files (x86)\No Signal
Four shortcuts are installed to the desktop; the shortcut to the game, plus three others ''Play Online Games, MyPlayCity Games and a shortcut to a free online game. These latter three shortcuts can be deleted once the game has been installed. The Themida wrapper may alert your security and even block the installation; there are details about this issue in the read me that unpacks from the downloaded zip file.

The Game:
No Signal is a runner game with old school graphics. Your runner is actually a ship. To pass certain barriers you have to change your ship to the same colour as sections of the barrier by flying over the icon with the same colour as the barrier. If you fail to select the correct colour you will inevitably crash into the barrier and die. As you progress the levels become increasingly more complex. You are given a hint screen that tells you what you need to know before starting the first level, i.e. movement keys are A and D and what each in-game symbol does to your ship for example the upwards pointing arrow increases the speed of your ship and the coloured icons change the colour of your ship. You can see all the tips in the first image below.

Conclusion:
Lost Signal is quite a challenging runner game compared to some I've played. The graphics are basic, but that doesn't detract from the quality of the game, in fact I think the simple graphics enhance the game. Why? because too much detail would be a distraction, that leads to a more difficult game. It's hard enough as it is. Yes, the game looks simple, but it's a very effective and challenging game, well worth checking out, especially if you are up for a challenge and think you can survive all 15 levels of increasing complexity. Mmmuuwahhhh! :)
Videos of Lost Signal:
You can see a couple of in-game videos of game play HERE (my channel) & via the Steam page HERE. I only saw the game very late afternoon as I was distracted for most of the day, so haven't had enough time to get used to the game, so my video is very short and only shows part of the first level. I didn't have time to practice and improve to at least finish the first level.

Problems getting the game to work:
If you're having problems installing or activating or getting No Signal to work please visit the FAQ's Thread HERE and read through the communities comments because sometimes fixes have already been posted, for example, a common issue seen since the Themida wrapper was introduced three years ago is that some community members installation of the game are blocked by their security because Themida code has been known to hide malware, (usually an error message is flagged for example 'The executable is corrupted' even though in reality it is not); so as a precaution some anti malware programs will block and even delete the suspect installation files even though the files (i.e. the setup, read me and setup.gcd files are actually totally free from malware. This issue can be solved either by rebooting your computer in safe mode with networking or a quicker method is to temporarily turn off your security software to allow the installation. You could also try white-listing the setup.gcd file. In the almost 12 years this game giveaway site has been operating there has 'never' been a game given away that was infected with malware.
If for any reason you want to contact the giveaway team, for example, you have a game to offer the community, or are unable to download the latest game or other issues that the FAQ's thread or these comments don't cover or solve you can do so HERE
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the developer FYRG and the distributor Falcoware Games for giving away No Signal and also to the game giveaway team, as always, for securing other ways to get free games.
