The Game:
Following the adventures from the previous two games, Hero is now the Chieftain of Tapa-tui island. Help Hero establish trade with the nearby island of Mata-fiki and bring fortune to his community!
We knew we were in for a great treat right from the start when the game started off with a great introduction. The introduction perfectly captured the main details we need to know to grasp the story in this third game – it is filled with humor and memorable characters so that you would never get bored.
Moai 3: Trade Mission also has amazing production values. Firstly, in terms of the Time Management genre, Moai 3 probably featured some of the very best graphics. The characters are smoothly animated and the environment is attractively three-dimensional. The cheery and upbeat music, along with the delightful sound effects also enhances the experience.
When it comes to game play, Moai 3: Trade Mission does not stray far from the traditional resource-management game play. In fact, we wish the developer would have taken some more risks with the game play. Nonetheless, Moai 3 offers an incredibly entertaining game play with some honestly challenging levels, two modes of game play that you can switch around at all time (Timed and Untimed) and helpful power-ups. One unique feature is the Artifacts; there are 24 artifacts to collect in total and each has its own power that would help with your tasks-completion, you can choose to equip a handful of them at the beginning of each level.

Moreover, the game comes with over 40 standard levels, You can replay each level as a Challenge Level once you have completed it once, the Challenge Levels are much harder and require more strategic planning. The Collector’s Edition includes extra thirteen levels, and of course, thirteen more challenge levels. Other features in bonus section are a useful strategy guide, wallpapers, achievements, collectibles, soundtracks and character’s biographies.

Conclusion:
Moai III: Trade Mission is a well constructed game with excellent game play mechanics. As with most TM game sof this type you’ll have several tasks to complete to finish a level. Also, there’s loads of achievments available over the 40 or so levels you get with this game. Doesn’t sound like a lot, but each level can be replayed as a challenge level, so you’ll find many hours of fun playing this game. I’m not a TM game enthusiast, but I did find this one mildly entertaining compared to others of this sub genre.

Problems getting the game to work:
If you're having problems installing or activating or getting Moai III: Trade Mission to work please visit the FAQ's Thread HERE and read through the communities comments because sometimes fixes have already been posted, for example, a common issue seen since the Themida wrapper was introduced three years ago is that some community members installation of the game are blocked by their security because Themida code has been known to hide malware, (usually an error message is flagged for example 'The executable is corrupted' even though in reality it is not); so as a precaution some anti malware programs will block and even delete the suspect installation files even though the files (i.e the setup, read me and setup.gcd files are actually totally free from malware. This issue can be solved either by rebooting your computer in safe mode with networking or a quicker method is to temporarily turn off your security software to allow the installation. You could also try whitelisting the setup.gcd file. In the almost 11 years this game giveaway site has been operating there has 'never' been a game given away that was infected with malware.
If for any reason you want to contact the giveaway team, for example, you have a game to offer the community, or are unable to download the latest game or other issues that the FAQ's thread or these comments don't cover or solve you can do so HERE

Useful Information not related to today's game giveaway:
Don't forget to check out the the latest Epic Games giveaways that this week are Amnesia: The Dark Descent, a first person survival horror and Crashlands a top down, open world RPG with crafting elements.. Also check out Reddit's Free Games on Steam (these fluctuate over the week, so it's worth checking daily at this time as there have been quite a few developers offering their commercial games for free since the lock-down - if you see a game, just open your Steam client and search for the game in the store, (though recently some games are accessed via Steam DB and not directly from the Steam client). If a game is still available free you'll see that they are 100% off, the site is updated frequently, so if a game is no longer available it's usually tagged with an 'over' icon. Hurry though as these free games don't stay free long. Once added to your account they becomes permanent). You can also get loads of free DRM free games from Indie Gala HERE. They have recently added a few more games that look worthwhile, including one of the excelllent Dreamscape HOG's (Dreamscapes: The Sandman - Premium Edition) and an excellent marble popper on the lines of Luxor, but with a fantasy setting. (Delenns posted a link in the forums, see my links below to go there) There's actually two marble poppers, the other one being Corona Match a 3D version of marble popping.
Finally check Delenns threads for other freebies both Steam and Non Steam titles HERE and HERE

Whiterabbit-uk, Hi, hope you are well this lockdown day. There is a problem with Indiegala, the freebies aren't working, they say they are already in your library when they are not. I was looking forward to Dreamscapes :(

Harri,

Hi Harri,

Indie Gala have been updating their website over the last week. All my Bundle keys that hadn't been redeemed were missing all week, but have just appeared. It's likely that they haven't completely updating community members accounts. I'f you've pressed on the button via the games page that adds it to your account, it 'should' be in your account; if it isn't, keep checking, as I'm sure it will appear once they have finished working on the upgrade. The download page has changed. You now have to click on the drop down arrow next to your account name then click on the Showcase tab to access your downloads. I can only find half the downloads I usually have access to, but I'm assuming that's because they haven't completed their upgrade. You can see what the new download page looks like below.

I added Dreamscapes early this morning and it is now available for me to download. It's definitely one of the better (though older) HOG's. I bought most of the series when I was still into playing them and still think they are great games.

Moai III - Trade Mission

Going to start out by saying this game worked well on my Windows 10 64 bit machine as that might be important information for some.

A nice resource management game that I'd allot two stars to.
Perhaps a bit too easy for those of us who want to fight like mad to get that gold trophy at the end.

If I was to send some advice to the developers, it would be to stop insisting on what kinds of buildings need to built and to which level they must reach to fulfill the needed achievements. Instead, let the player try and discover what it is they should do to finish the needed tasks in the time allotted.

For example: Say they must stock up on 3000 wood but do not tell them how many saw mills they need and what level they have to reach.

Telling them exactly what they need to do, removes the *thinking* aspect from the game which is what is supposed to make these games challenging. Trying to figure out what to do first and how many buildings of each type will be needed and at what level they will need to reach to produce the needed amount of the needed resources is the best part of games of this type.

I remember MOAI 3 from the last time it was given away, and it became one of my favorite games in this genre.
The graphics are a cut above the typical Time Management game, and the gameplay was nicely balanced.
