after quitting properly from game menu, it made my soundcard unavailable to other apps...i tried rewatching a video that had sound before trying the game and noticed there was no more sound...also the game was no longer visible in taskmanager and it would not properly start again...meaning it will start and immediately close itself without notice...i was trying to start it and quit it again to avoid restart but in the end i had to restart system :( maybe is not compatible with my win 10 x64, anyway is either very buggy or i had much bad luck with this givewaway... i quit it to find the directions keys but as is maybe i should not start it again :)
anyway, a work in windowed mode might be of help too for some if it can be implemented

no way to change controls and unless you bother to find the external readme in description or comments you might not be able to play until you randomly find what button does what...there is no easy to access instructions withinbg the game once started you're on your own, or exit and get the info from elsewhere...and the worst part: dear devs if you are not ABLE to give option to customize controls at least remember wasd keys are not liked/enjoyed by everyone, so also allow arrow keys...also the games seems to promote using keyboard but its exit menu needs mouse and does not respond to keyboard much if at all...i could not play much but from what i did play it has a very long or better said short repetitive beginner tutorial that does not even say what keys to press and seems to mainly be there to waste our time and bore us to quit before the game begins

huh,

Thank you for your feedback Huh, I agree that being able to use the arrow keys would be better. I'm left handed
My left hand is usually used for the mouse, so using the WASD keys with my left is actually quite uncomfortable.

Regarding your comment about the sound issue and the lack of visibility in Task Manager, I've not had those issues. Checked a few times and each time I've left the game sound is fine in other applications and the game is always present in Task Manager 9I have multiple monitors, so kept Task Manager open to check)

Whiterabbit-uk, i can confirm it is no longer working on my computer even so it did work at begin, uninstall and reinstall did not help, so i'm guessing it has something to do with its save database, maybe due to quitting it during the training guide, after i took the sword and was told to try to attack an enemy...i quit to find out the controls...anyway, now i get a black screen or a white screen and music and the mouse pointer but nothing else in regards to the game... here are some printscreens to help the developer https://prnt.sc/16bp7i0 and https://prnt.sc/16bq08g... if i click randomly on the full screen it might close itself but not always...else it will just stay open like that and sing...uninstall and reinstall did not help, not even with a force uninstaller that tried to delete registry and hdd leftovers... well, its ok, i was not having much expectations from it anyway...guess it might fix itself as it broke itself without any obvious reason or see the trash bin one day soon

huh,

Hi Huh, I've been able to restart the game several times and have not had any of the issues you've brought up.

It may have been an issue with the installation of the game, or something on your computer that is conflicting with the game? As to what that could be, I haven't a clue. Sorry it was a disappointment for you.

Personally I found it quite entertaining once I'd had some time to play it.

Whiterabbit-uk, it seems it was the save game system after all, i found it and deleted it manually from AppData\Local and it started to work again...sadly i could not get past the castle and ghosts with skeletons stage 2 even so i killed all enemies and tried to pass from every possible path i could reach...but the enemies are repeating themselves in new clothes, like the early bat is now a ghost and the early turtle is now a skeleton...i think is good for young kids to teach them patience...but otherwise good old mario is more fastpaced and more fun than this...well i only played it at default speed and not switched into settings speed...on another note i see you find this game challenging, but is likely the controls, not as responsive as they should...plus you can kill the enemy and it can still kill you as it dies, or you can hit and miss it if its not near enough...hit your enemies once or twice and go further to hit them again to avoid them touching/killing you...if all else fails respawn to end :)))... it has potential for many if they work more on it but it depends on what they will add to it in the future. As for what can be done in the future we can tell from their description it could have been something awesome between mario and the first 2d Prince of Persia, but is lacking too much in all areas :( in mario there were many different fun enemies and fun things to do, and in prince of persia you still had a lot of fun exploring even so the enemy was barely seen...why is hard to make something better in 2021?

huh,

Thank you for your excellent feedback Huh. Regarding the difficulty, I was always dying when attacking enemies. Probably need to use a different tactic like hit and retreat, hit and retreat. Still not tried that. All in all I do think it's worth keeping. I like the upgrade system with different skins etc to buy using the gold and crystals you collect. Adds to the game.

All that said, I do agree that both Prince of Persia and Mario were/are better. I have fond memories of Prince of Persia. My wife isn't into gaming at all, but Prince of Persia is one of only a few games she was addicted to (the others were Zoo Tycoon and Civilization I).

Sorry was so focused on Dreadlands this morning, I totally forgot about this giveaway. It's almost half way through the giveaway and I've got family time so probably won't post anything apart from a few brief words once I've install and played the game for a short while.

Notes on Security
I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game and it found zero hits from 61 antimalware engines. The downloaded executable may include some low level adware that only opens your browser to Falcoware's home page after the game has installed and places four shortcuts onto your desktop (which can be safely deleted once the game has installed). The installation does not inject any malware into your system. When your browser is opened to Falcoware's home page when the game has been installed, it earns Falcoware games some money, part of which is given to the developer of the game for allowing the game to be given away free. You can see the results of the scan via the following link:

Other Free Games:
The latest games from Epic Games include Hell is other Demons an action-platform shooter, with Rogue-lite elements and Overcooked! 2; Journey back to the Onion Kingdom and assemble your team of chefs in classic couch co-op or online play for up to four players. Hold onto your aprons … it’s time to save the world (again!); both will be available next week Thursday 17th June at 4pm UK time/11am EST

Also from Epic, If you play online with friends there's a decent PvE/PvP free FPS game called Scavengers with a coop mode (I checked it out recently and it looks fantastic as well as plays well) and you can still get the clicker RPG Idle Champions as well as other multiplayer games. I've been posting redeemable codes for free chests that contain various buffs and other items for Idle Champions (time limited for 5 to 7 days from the day of posting) over in the forums HERE. They contain various items that boost your heroes abilities and health as well as affect your group of heroes in game, for example potions that boost health or DPS, contracts that can improve armour or weapons already used by the heroes or other contracts that add specific amounts of gold to your bank as well as items of jewellery, armour or weapons that buff your characters stats. I don't usually play clicker type games, but this one is well supported by the developer and has a massive following. I'll be posting codes for as long as I continue to play the game. I've posted some help sheets and links to a game wiki via the above link as well

Please see Delenn's threads for Steam and Non Steam freebies HERE and HERE respectively. Delenn has been updating these regularly for years now. It’s worth adding these links to your favourites and checking regularly for available freebies. Most are only free for a specific time. If you miss the deadline you’ll miss out. Once added to your account, it’s yours to keep. Delenn has recently posted details of more Steam games that are temporarily free. One may be until it leaves early access??? - i.e. Tower Ball - Incremental Tower Défense plus a reflex game called Keyboard Killers are still free. Delenn posted details of a free origin came called Battlefield 4 which is available for free if you have an Amazon Prime account (If you like FPS games, it's a brilliant game to own. (not sure if it's still live).
To those who contributed to the Indie Bundle for Palestinian Aid over on Itch.io, they raised $899,963.91, which was a great achievement.

You'll find hundreds of freeware games of all arcade and indie genres on Itch.io and Caimans Games as well as other sources. Please do check out the game discussion forums for older posts HERE (the sticky section is useful). Many of the earlier posts may be out of date with respect to the links I and others have provided to the free games; however, you only need to know the name of the game to find most of them via other sources. Many of those games from 2008 to around 2017 were posted as part of a project to supplement the lack of weekday games when the game giveaway went to weekend only games around Easter 2008 (mainly instigated due to the financial crisis of 2008) until November 2018 when Falcoware stepped into the weekday slot; however, from around 2015 onwards we did start to get the occasional Steam key for various games offered as limited giveaways, with a restriction on the number of keys available (anywhere from 25 to 2000+). These included over 60 decent AAA games and indie arcade games ; for example some of the better AAA games included , lucky Warhammer: Vermintide 1 & 2 plus DLC for version 2; Dreadlands, Mount & Blade: Warband, Immortal Unchained and Conan Exiles.

I've not posted details of any Indie Gala freebies since my older computer went on the Fritz back in October last year. Since then Indie Gala have added quite a few more free games, some of which are definitely worth downloading. You can find the latest freebies HERE and their showcase list, which includes all the freebies still current; (many of which have been included for a couple of years now) HERE.

It’s worth adding these links to your favourites and checking regularly for available freebies. Most are only free for a specific time. If you miss the deadline you’ll miss out. Once added to your account, they are yours to keep. :)

A - move left
D - move right
W - jump (going to the right, continue pressing W to continue going up
(jumping on the enemy kills you immediately)
E - gets some more comments from the "guide"
left-mouse button swings the sword!
R - start over when you're killed
Fortunately, the harm enemies receive is cumulative over your resurrections.

There were no instructions for controllers, that I found. The last game we got from this dev had them as AWD with the left mouse button to use the weapon. Fun and not as easy as it looks.

Jeff Benham,

Thank you fr your feedback Jeff, yes, I've returned to it a few times since yesterday and have found it quite difficult to progress. I'll be keeping this one as it's well constructed and reasonably challenging.
