A LONG TIME AGO IN AN ARCADE NOT SO FAR AWAY... I came across an interesting game in an arcade (and later consoles) called PAPERBOY which took the role of a paperboy who delivers a newspaper called The Daily Sun along a suburban street on his bicycle. But this poor paperboy has nothing compared to a POSTMANS job delivering tons of letters on foot in this game with razor sharp letters being thrown around and dogs that don't like intruders in this action arcade game.
You use the keyboard WASD to control your mail man and the stated goal is to get a letter in each of the mail boxes by knocking them using the spacebar while avoiding the dogs. Sounds simple right? Unfortunately you dont get to carry the letters here, no, the letters move across the screen like thrown ninja stars such as vertically, and you have to hit them to knock them horizontally toward the mailboxes without getting hit yourself. Why? Did I mention the letters are razor sharp and will remove one of your three lives if they hit you. Brick walls reverse the direction of the flying letters. If you knock one horizontally or even diagonally and there is no mailbox it will continue to fly horizontally or diagonolly ongoing - uh oh. Did I also mention you can direct these flying letters of death toward the dogs? A fun homage to arcade games of past, cost is less than a dollar and while there appears to be only 20 levels at this time (Its V1.0), there is plenty here already for a basic game to enjoy. raddy, The last message in that thread on Focus Forums is over a year old. Unless you own the Sandstorm game yourself (?), how can you be sure that it stlil doesn't work on Win7?
(PS: I don't understand why a non-networked game like Mailman would be calling a proc. to open a Web socket receiver in the first place?)
