Regret I didn't get here earlier. Hope folks who can still download see this:
THIS game IS 32 bit compatible. Playing fine on my 32 bit Win XP machine.
A couple of other observations: It's much like Griddlers Beach Season, also from 8th Floor and also given away recently. It's probably older. Has a reasonably good, succinct help file, giving play mechanics and strategy tips. I wrote extensively on strategy tips on 1 of the earlier giveaways, so won't bore you folks again. Beach Season is probably newer because it has a detailed tutorial instead, though Magic Griddlers has a smaller tutorial. Or maybe fans complained about Beach seasons tutorial, and this is the newer, simplified 1. In any case, if you've never played griddlers/nonograms, they are simple mathematical logic puzzle which uses process of elimination. You determine by the clues what MUST be true, and what CAN'T be true, using each as clues as you go back and forth from rows to columns to rows (or columns 1st, doesn't matter), etc. And, in most games like this you have an acceptable number of mistakes. Also in the 8 Floor versions, as has been said, you have hints, and you also earn coins which allow you to buy more acceptable mistakes to complete future levels so you can unlock the next level. Or you can do as I do, work the puzzles until you solve them without a single mistake. Though this can be time consuming and frustrating, since the slightest misstep - maybe at the very end - can force you to start a long puzzle over, maybe more than once.
Also, I read the reviews on Steam. Mostly favorable, but some aspects of the game were criticized. Unfortunately, both of the reviews that suggested improvements were disjointed enough - either the writer was grammatically uncomfortable and/or struggled to type enough that the sentences were hard to understand for me - that I couldn't really tell what they meant.
But, I partially mention that because I noticed on Steam that, if you're really crazy about these, Steam is offering a bundle of 29 on about a 3/4 discount, about a $38 total package.
Hope you folks enjoy. I will, as I like these logic puzzles. Thanks GGOTD, Toomky, and, as always, my friend Whiterabbit.

Also should have said that is, of course, like the Red Riding Hood version mentioned, also from 8th Floor, but I couldn't play that 1. Graphics are newer than the other 2 and my ancient graphics couldn't handle the required shading protocol.

Downloaded fine, but wouldn't install. Got error 5, whatever that is. Wife had the same problem. The last griddler installed with no problem.

Are there versions of those games where you can make as much mistakes as you need to proceed?

I love this style of game so thank you for the freebie. Have been playing it for about an hour and the games are neither too easy nor too hard--at least not yet.
Thanks for another great game!

Whiterabbit, wanted to say thanks for this and for EVERYTHING you have selflessly offered us over the years. I loved this type of game when I was exposed to the puzzles in one of the Nancy Drew games. Could never find more nor ones as extensive as the last offerings.
The Red Riding Hood one is extensive and has some tough puzzles in it. I thoroughly enjoyed the first one and am looking forward to this.
So thanks again for everything and hope life is kind to you and yours!

Laura,
Hi Laura, thank you for your kind words; I only moderate and post reviews and feedback, I don't get the games; that's done by the owners of the site. I'm just a volunteer, who does this as a thank you, because of the games I got way back when the giveaway site first started (2006).

I've previously left feedback on other games that Whiterabbit-uk posted in their review. In the case of the Red Riding Hood Secret Griddlers, please see my feedback at the bottom of the page on that game as my comments pretty much sum up today's game and is in line with other Griddler games.
I too are going to be busy today as Saturday is usually house cleaning day and laundry day providing that there is an available washer and dryer available in the apartment complex I live in as the first floor washers are currently out of service.
If anyone is looking for good deals on digital games look to many online platforms as they are teasing their Black Friday sales
Two of the sale highlights are on XBOX where Capcom Arcade Stadium 2 full pack is $29 on sale and Resident Evil 3 Remake is $9.99 on sale.
