Looks like a decent package; however, I don't own a mobile phone, so cannot play the game (despite tower defence games being one of my favourite arcade genres) so I'm unable to post a review of todays game. :(

If anyone who does get this package has the time, please do post a comment about it. Thank you.

Whiterabbit-uk,

Free or Discounted Games:
Please check Delenn's threads over in the giveaway forums HERE (non-Steam games) and HERE (Steam games) for the latest freebies. It's kept up to date frequently, (thanks for keeping this up to date Delenn, very much appreciated). There are a lot of sites that now offer free games such as TooMKY games, MyPlayCity games, Gametop, FreeGamePick and others. One of my favourite's that has been around for around twenty years is Caiman's Games, where you'll find thousands of freeware arcade games covering almost every genre I can think of. You can find Caimans games HERE. The site used to be updated every week, but since the founder of Caiman's, Rudy Versele's passing on the Feb 3rd 2010, it's been kept running, but not updated by a colleague of Rudy's. There's a wealth of freeware games that can be found on the site that are well worth checking out.
Steam Games:

For the latest Steam sales check THIS Steam database site out. You can list the games in 'price' & 'percentage off' order by clicking the headers. If you link SteamDB (the Steam database) with your Steam account, all games that you already have will be highlighted in green and those in blue are on your wish list. When there are Steam games being given away, you'll see the percentage off as 100%. It's worth checking this regularly to make sure you don't miss the best deals and freebies.

Now available for free is The Wild Eternal an atmospheric walking simulator that the developer has converted to freeware on Steam, so there's no time limit to grab it as it will now always be free. :) Also converted to freeware back in February is Roadclub: League Racing - a top down racing game, that I purchased just before the developer made it free to play (I wanted to support the dev).

Tales from Candlekeep: Tomb of Annihilation and Tales from Candlekeep: Complete Edition are being removed from Steam from the 20th May. They are both on sale until the end of this week.
Indie Gala:
Don't forget to check Indie Gala's freebie section HERE, then click on the Showcase header, selecting freebies from the drop down menu; the most recent additions include:
1) ... Vroom Racing (Drive a Formula 1 car upon 18 worldwide tracks : Reach 380 Km/h and beat the ghost !)
2) ... Project Restart (An anime visual novel, two versions English & Portuguese)
3) ... Beefense ... (ReRUN ... Tower defence game.)
4) ... Lamp Head ... (NEW ... The protagonist of this game is a strange man who needs to breach out of the darkened and dangerous odd place at whatever cost..)
5) ... World's Dawn ... (Re-Run ... a colourful life and social sim set in a sleepy seaside village. Inspired by the Harvest Moon series.)
6) ... The Adventures of Tree ... (New ... This game takes you on an open ended adventure to save your fellow species from the evil invaders!)
Check the freebie section for the latest additions; if you've not visited for a while, also check the Showcase section for older freebies. All or most new freebies should be on the first page of the Showcase pages. We have been given over 350 games since I started to check the freebie section in 2018. But around 60% of those are no longer available free.

The following recent freebies have now been removed from the free library: King of Dragon Pass , Control Craft 2, Grab the Bottle, Super Toy cars, Cursed Sight, Pixel Puzzles 2, Spring Bonus, Little Kite, Last Dream, Unhack, Trainpunk Run, Pixel Puzzles 2: Paintings, Hamsterdam, Copperbell, Chainsaw Warrior, Leisure Suit Larry 2 Looking For Love (In Several Wrong Places), Leisure Suit Larry 1 - In the Land of the Lounge Lizards , Figment, Pixel Puzzles 2: Space, Revolution Ace, Six Sides of the World, Byte Family, Alone on Mars, Garfield Kart, Nostradamus the Last Prophecy, Snowball, Pixel Puzzles 2: Christmas , Die Young (Full version), Distortions, Dino Run DX, Cheap Golf, Kill Em All, Dead Hungry Diner, and Contract with the Devil.

Any game you claim while it's being offered is DRM free and will remain in your Indie Gala library permanently (unless Indie Gala goes bust) and can be downloaded at any time, under the showcase or freebie section; 118 games are still available. Not all games that go into the showcase remain free and are removed after a short period; e.g. the recent adventure puzzler Figment that costs almost £15 on Steam; so, you should grab them as quickly as you can. To find your games go to your account and from the drop down menu select 'My Library'. When the page opens find the 'Showcase' button in the banner along the top of the page and, from the drop down menu select 'Showcase'. There are only 8 games per page, so, if like me you have added hundreds to your account/library. Each page from your free list can take 30 or more seconds to move to the next page so it can take a good twenty minutes to get to the last page depending on how many of the free games you've claimed.
CD Keys:
Another decent site that you should check out regularly is CD Key HERE. They have some very good discounts on top notch AAA games for all the popular platforms (PC, PSN, Xbox, Nintendo), sometimes as much as 99% off. The following examples may change, so not all prices quoted may be valid. I update the following occasionally. for example you'll find Madden NFL 22 is only £0.39 (usually £49.99), Grand Theft Auto V Premium Ed' 84% off (£7.99), Sims 4 85% off (£5.99), Star Wars The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition £1.79 , Dying Light Platinum Edition 92% off (£5.29 - includes 22 of the paid for 26 DLC's, with a further 11 free DLC's available.), Assetto Corsa 83% off (£3.99), Borderlands 2 GOTY Edition 91% off (£2.99), Civilization VI Platinum Edition 91% off (£8.99), Cities Skyline 90% off (£3.09), Hitman GOTY Ed' 92% off (£3.99), Sniper Elite 4 83% off (£6.99), Stellaris 99% off (£0.19), The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series 86% off (£5.49), Battlefield V 85% off (£7.39), Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 89% off (£0.79), Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II : The Sith Lords 89% off (£0.79), Planet Coaster 83% off (£4.99), Injustice 2 92% off (£3.99), Kerbal Space Program 85% off (£4.49) this is included in the Stand with Ukraine bundle, Fallout 3 GOTY Ed' 80% off (£2.99), Fallout 4 91% off (£3.49), Tekken 7 90% off (£3.99), Garfield Kart: Furious Racing 92% off (£1.09), Dawn of War Franchise Pack 97% off (£3.19 usually £99), Assassins Creed: Unity 91% off (£3.49), Naruto to Boruto Shinobi Striker 95% off (£1.99), Ace Combat 7 Skies Unknown Deluxe Edition 86% off (£9.99), Outlast 2 90% off (£2.39), The Escapists 2 85% off (£2.99), Battlefield 1 Revolution 87% off (£7.99), Sniper 2: Ghost Warrior 2 89% off (£0.79), Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 Season Pass Edition 96% off (£1.49), Elite Dangerous 84% off (£3.99), Killing Floor 2 89% off (£2.29), Lego: The Incredibles 93% off (£2.49), Lego: DC Super Villains 93% off (£2.49), Resident Evil Biohazard 90% off (£4.99), Resident Evil HD Remaster 87% off (£3.19), Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 91% off (£4.99), The Evil Within 92% (£2.49), Metro Exodus Gold Edition 83% off (£9.99), Shadow warrior 2 90% off (£3.59), Warhammer 40 000 Space Marine - Anniversary Ed' 93% off (£2.99) plus many more amazing deals.

Be sure to check that keys from CD Keys are redeemable in whichever country you live in (it details where it can be redeemed) as prices and the ability to redeem keys in particular countries may differ. I've quoted prices from the UK pages of CD keys. I recently got an Origin key for Star Wars: Squadrons for 99% off, costing me £0.34; it usually retails for £34.99, I also got 32% off a pre order copy of Dying Light 2 a couple of weeks before it was released in February, saving around £20 off the release price.
Epic Games:
The latest from Epic includes two comedic games; i.e. Just Die Already - an old peoples mayhem sandbox game, created by the designers of Goat Simulator. You are old and angry and you've just been kicked out of your retirement home. How will you survive in a world that wants you to Just Die Already? (remember David Carradine in Deathrace 2000, it's nothing like that). Also the single player Paradigm - a surreal adventure game set in the strange and post apocalyptic Eastern European country of Krusz. Play as the handsome mutant, Paradigm, whose past comes back to haunt him in the form of a genetically engineered sloth that vomits candy

From next Thursday 5th May at 4pm UK/11am Eastern we will be getting Terraforming Mars - Corporations are competing to transform Mars into a habitable planet; you control one of these corporations. Play project cards, build up production, place your cities and green areas on the map, and race for milestones and awards!
Indie Bundles:
The best Indie Bundles sites that have been operating from around 2010 are the Humble Bundle and Indie Gala sites (though the latter isn't as good as it used to be, with most of the bundles containing cheap stocking fillers and a lot of 'adult only 'hentai like ' games). The Humble site is, in my opinion, the best; though a more recent addition that is worth checking out called Fanatical games, that used to be called Bundle Stars, looks to be a serious contender for that title as they have some very good bundles. Presently Fanatical hosts nine game bundles as well as other software and book bundles
Build your Own Quest VR bundle
Mystery Egg Bundle
Platinum Collection: Build your own April Bundle
Fanatical Favourites -Build your Own Bundle
Rogue Souls Bundle
Build your own Easter Bundle
Guardian Bundle 7
Handy Games Anniversary Bundle
Build your own Hidden Gems Bundle 2
You can find the Fanatical bundles page HERE.
The latest Humble Choice bundle went live Tue 5th April and lasts until the 3rd May 22 and includes eight Steam games Ghostrunner, Destroy All Humans!, Monster Sanctuary, KillSquad, Suzerain, Chicken Police, Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos and Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker. Subscriptions to the Choice bundle have recently been changed, levelling the ground for all subscribers. The monthly cost is a meagre $12/£8.99 with other benefits such as access to a lot of indie titles for free while subscribed and a percentage off other purchases from the Humble store. This discount increases the longer you stay subscribed up to a year with 20% off all none bundle purchases. (1 month sub' gives 10% off, 3 months sub' gives 15% off and six months sub 'gives 17% off).

The latest Humble Game Bundles include the following:

1) ... Dungeon Defenders Legendary Collection - contains 7 games for a minimum of £19.10 you get: Dungeon Defenders: Going Rogue, Dungeon Defenders II: 1000 Gems + Shutter Shades Flair + Dragon Captains, Dungeon Defenders: Awakened, Dungeon Defenders II: 1000 Gems + Shutter Shades Flairs, Dungeon Defenders Ultimate Collection DLC, Dungeon Defenders II: 500 Gems + Shutter Shades Flair, Dungeon Defenders ... You'll also find Books and Software bundles on the Humble project HERE as well.

The Groupee's group also do game bundles HERE, but they don't have any available at the moment (just a book bundle).
Free Game Project:
I've restarted a project I originally started back in 2008 that used to be called Good Games to Grab, where I posted free games over in the forums on a daily basis; however, I won't be posting them daily this time, only as and when I have time and the inclination. You can find the new forum section entitled 'Free Game Project' HERE. So far, I've posted eight excellent PC games, plus one android game as well as suggested or linked to others similar to the ones posted. I'll be adding more as and when I have the time or the mood takes me over the coming months.

Amazon Prime Gaming:
If you have Amazon Prime you also get access to a new set of free games every month. The April freebies include the fantastic The Elder Scrolls Oblivion from GOG (You can find loads of mods, addons and other related files over on Nexus mods HERE. ModDB also have many files available for the game (over thirty thousand) HERE (files), HERE (add-ons) and HERE (mods).).

From Origin you get the 3D version of Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neigbourville (I'm really pleased to see this one; I was intending to buy it in the next Steam sale as it's been on my wish list since it's release) . Plus there are several other games from Plug in Digital and Lucas Arts free this month.

On top of those full game freebies there's also a shed load of add-ons and other DLC content for various Free to Play and commercial titles such as GTA V, Overwatch, League of Legends, Rainbow Six Siege, Two Point Hospital, The Crew 2, Fall Guys, Blade & Soul, FIFA 22, Madden NFL 22 (the full game was free on Origin last month via Amazon Gaming, now you get some extra stuff to add to the game). Also extra's for Battlefield 2042, Splitgate, Gildwars 2, Black Desert Mobile, Warframe, Doom Eternal and over 20 other titles.

Stay safe everyone.

WR hi .

First thing first , my condolences for your lose and I hope
you will soon have a solution to your traveling problems .

Now ... I have a question about today's offer .
Since the site has a mobile section (Android / iPhone) ,
why did the GOTD Team put a mobile game to the
Windows section ?

For the last 13 years I am visiting the Windows section daily .
I never cared for the other sections .
I am not in mobile gaming .
If I ever had a desire for a mobile game I would visit the
Android / iPhone section ...

So , today , I would prefer to have a rerun or no game at all ,
than a mobile game ...

Before I go , I would like to express (again) my appreciation
to the Team and you , for your hard work in the site .

Bye for now .

Whiterabbit-uk, Just don't feel like you're alienated. Since I'm medically retired I haven't owned a mobile phone in a decade. No need for it. Thank you for the review and upload. ☺

Jim,

Hi Jim,
The only mobile phone I've ever had was back in the mid 90's when I returned to work temporarily as a motorcycle courier for Pony Express in the UK after a serious accident on the motorway back in the mid 90's; (I used to commute around 200 miles a day to a teaching job, getting up at 4am because I couldn't leave my motorcycle where I lived because it would have been stolen, so used to cycle on a push bike about 5 miles to a friends house, who let me use his garage).

Since my accident in 2005 after returning to teaching and only two weeks into my contract, was medically retired (in my late 40's following the accident)

I've never succumbed to getting a mobile, due to being virtually housebound; my land line is all I need. When we've been on vacation where the hotels have poor internet connectivity, I'd often laugh to myself when we went into the reception area seeing every seat was taken with people on their iPads and other internet ready phones etc.

Sadly, British Telecoms will be closing down the land line system by the end of this decade so I'll be forced to get a mobile phone. That said, when I travel to Australia once the kids have finished their finals at the end of June, I may have to get a phone so that I can keep in touch with my wife, who isn't travelling with us because of our pets. One requires constant attention due to a benign tumour on his jaw, so we have to hand feed him every three hours.

I still think there could be something in the research I read (back in the 90's) about long term use of mobiles causing long term damage to your brain; which I must admit is one of the reasons I shied away from getting one. I reckon the big name providers may have quashed a lot of the research because of the billion dollar industry. Whether the research is just speculation,
I've not pursued it for years, so don't really know. I'm sure if there was some serious issues they would have come to light by now; still, as mentioned above, it was one of the reasons I didn't get one many years ago (apart from the brief period where I had to have one otherwise I'd not got the work with Pony Express)

Whiterabbit-uk,
So I don't know if you are still checking this thread but perhaps you are.

When you do get a cell phone don't constantly use it held to the side of your head and ear. You can do as I do and use headphones; or earbuds, or just use it on speaker. I do so because my RA makes holding the phone for any length of time time painful due to joint pain. If you are worried or unsure of those previous reports this will largely eliminate many of those sort of problems.

I got my headphones years ago at a 5 Below discount store. Didn't think they would work very well as the cost was so low but they are great. Soft pads and a cut off switch in the middle of the cord. Paid only 5 usd for them.

Personally I have problems with the newer phones and their touch screens. Don't know if it is because as we got older we don't have a much oil on our fingers or it just might be me. It is madding to have a call coming in that I actually want to answer and can't get the dang thing to slide open so I can pick the call up. Usually have to call the person back once I get the stupid thing open.

Have a gov phone and they sent a new one due to the move from 3G to 5G. It is basically a half ass computer rather than a phone. I finally got most of the extra junk either disabled or hidden/deleted. The sure don't work the same way a laptop or desktop work. Now trying to figure out how to access my voice mail without needing a password as I seem to be having trouble remembering the darn things.

You just have to remember the things are really bad as far as security goes no matter what they tell you. Having had my ID stolen before and dealing with that mess I do nothing financial on either a phone or computer. I know that seems backward to most folks today but easy isn't always the best/safe way to accomplish things.

JMHO

Take care WR.

LadyLei,

Hi LadyLei

It is you Cab Lady? as time has passed my memory has deteriorated to the point it sometimes worries me. I did talk to my doctor about this a few years ago, so was sent to a specialist, but following a set of tests for Alzheimer's/Dementia, they said there was nothing to worry about.

Thank you for your mobile phone stories. :)

Whiterabbit-uk,

Yep tis me! Same here with memory junk....we are just old I guess. Getting so I am getting 2 of my passwords for the bank and one other mixed up and one of them I have used for over 35 years.
Have a bit of aphasia from a stroke almost 60 yrs ago and it seems to be getting worse.

Aging sucks, have a hard time standing up first thing in the morning....knees not happy.

But we keep tooling alone, don't we LOL
Take Care Stephen and try not to worry; it all works out in the end.

LadyLei aka CabLady,

Just wanted to make sure. Yes, growing old does suck.

As I have mentioned in the comments section previously, I have to hand feed one of the dwarf rabbits every 3 to 4 hours because of a benign tumour. We have put over the garage and a small snug room (12' x 12') for the rabbits to wander around in, plus the door to the main family room is usually left open (unless we are entertaining guests) so they have a large area to explore; plus during the day we often leave the snugs patio doors open (depending on the weather) so they wander around a reasonably sized garden that we've made sure is secured; mainly with mature holly. Where there are
holes, we've put chicken wire up to plug the holes; just in case they decide to wander into any of our neighbour's gardens. Thankfully, apart from the frontage of the bungalow every one of the five neighbour's house's garden backs up onto ours.

We've never believed in keeping them caged.

Anyway, to the point. I usually have to kneel down and place the male rabbit on an old easy chair to feed him. I've found it increasingly difficult to be able to stand up once I've finished feeding him without having to pull myself up using my arms. I cannot raise up with just the leg muscles any more; which is concerning as I used to have very powerful legs due to cycling 30+ miles most days and often at the weekend would go on cycling outings covering up to 60+ miles. Since the accident I've not been able to mount a bicycle, which was one of my loves. Memory is also getting worse; I find myself increasingly looking back on my life and remembering things from 40+ years ago that I'd not though off before. Yet recent events seem harder to recall.

One of my favourite American actors (Bruce Willis) has been forced into retirement because of Aphasia. I hope it's not too disabling for you.

It only seems like yesterday that I remember discovering the giveawayoftheday site (early November 2006), almost 16 years later and just over a quarter of my life has unbelievably gone by so quickly, it's scary.

LadyLei, I also have problems with the touch-screen on smart phones, so I tried a cheap stylus because of my big fingers, and it works great! That stylus made all the difference in the world, it's definitely worth trying. Good Luck!

I thought my eyes played a trick on me when looking at the price.

Looks like the kind of game where you could burn lots of real money.

And you probably need to if you want to have a decent chance against other players.

For free, i'll take it but otherwise not worth it to spend that much money on a mobile game.

Paulo Monteiro, yes there is. Shouldn't be a problem to play on there or activating the code on the Steam version.

From what i read, you should be able to play on different platforms with the same account.
