I'll post a security scan result once I've had time and if the games installed folder isn't too large. The scanner I use only allows 650MB or less.

My version says I got it from here but from "MyPlayCity" and not "ToomkyGames". but I would gather it's the same game!

It's a find the hidden object like many games are these days but I do like the artwork.

I installed this game on Linux Mint 20.3 with WINE. No issues with the graphics or any crashing. A short game of typical hidden objects and small games. Took me a couple of hours to play but then I'm a HOG expert having played many of these over the years. The only gripe I had was the very frequent backtracking and few clues as to what was needed. The hint feature refilled quickly enough I was able to play through without waiting too long. I don't know if I'll keep the game, it didn't really offer much incentive to replay. Thanks to GGOTD and Whiterabbit-uk for today's game.

Decent game. Me, I fumble around all over the place with these games, but oh well, eventually I persevere - as long as the mini-games don't kill me. Skip is always a choice. Nice Sunday afternoon relaxer.

I'll pass on this one, as I'm not fond of HOGs. Also because I'm revisiting a game we got a looong time ago, from Sandlot Games. Yeah, that long ago (Sandlot is long gone, & I still miss them). Sandlot called it Pirate Island, and there's a version of it on some of the free sites. I got it from Gametop this time. They all seem to have the same version; all the versions I've seen are called Treasure Island 2, and they've all managed to screw it up. The game mechanics are great, match-3 with a twist (your cursor changes to a specific game piece each move, and you put that piece over top of an existing piece to make your matches). But the story line, which was actually pretty decent for a casual game, has the wrong characters associated with the bios in this version. Also, it hangs when you get to the end. I've tried all the sites I consider reputable, and all the versions are the same. But I think it's a great game, and I consider it worth its faults.

installed perfectly on laptop.
On desktop, refused to do anything but pop up links to toomkey games and GGOTD in the browser, saying game was successfully installed. No game. 558M of...absolutely nothing. Uninstalled and reinstalled twice. Clicked on each of two executable files in the folder. Still nothing.
Windows 10 for both.

MJ, Probably your antivirus preventing installation. You need to disable the antivirus for the time needed to install the game.

MJ, it's probably your "real time" protection. I have that problem at times, installing isn't an issue, but starting the game is, so install, turn off the protection, start game, then turn it back on.

MJ, You posted that you tried running the 2 executable [.exe] files, so it's *probably* not anti-virus software preventing a full install. It wouldn't hurt however to check the AV software logs to make sure it didn't quarantine / remove anything related to the game. The easiest thing to try is to run the compatibility troubleshooter -- I normally run it right clicking on game.exe for all GOTD games in Win10. Otherwise I think the 2 most common things advised over the years is to 1) try adjusting the monitor resolution, & 2) make sure DirectX 9 is installed.
