No review today. The game was given away previously HERE. No review from me back then as I missed it due to visiting universities around the country for my daughter.

Whiterabbit-uk, meanwhile, she could write a game review for her dad! ;-)

This looks like a nice HOG which — correct me if I'm wrong! — hasn't been offered on GGOTD before, so big thanks to Big Fish Games (see what I did there?) for this.

As regular visitors here may know, I'm a huge fan of HOGs, and I'm looking forward to playing this one.

There are seven user reviews on BFG, four of which rate the game as four out of five stars. The reviews mention the "retro" feel of the artwork and story; the relatively short length (five Chapters, if I've understood them correctly?), though opinions vary on that; the fairly fast Hint recharge time; some very cluttered HO scenes which makes some objects very tricky to find (YMMV); and no way to use the system pointer instead of the "fancy artwork" cursor which HOG developers seem to be so fond of using in their games (why???).

Like many BFG HOGs, there is a full walkthrough if you get stuck; it's here:

I'll definitely be going for this one in the hope that its graphics don't cause my elderly laptop to overheat rapidly, as some HOGs, e.g. Alexandra Fortune Lunar Archipelago, do.

In the absence of whiterabbit (so far!) today, I hope that helps you decide whether or not to try today's GGOTD.

Cad Delworth,

Thanks for the review Cad, appreciated. Judging by the size of the images I took, the game is quite old, so hopefully won't be an issue with your ageing computer. :)

Unfortunately I'm just too busy with some legal stuff to be able to play any games this weekend (We are almost at the end of a seven year battle for justice after getting ripped off for over £40 000 for some sub standard and unfinished building work carried out back in 2013).

GOTDUser, many thanks for your correction! I'm not here for every GGOTD, so I must have missed this one.
Thanks again!
