It would be great if people that give a game a thumbs down would say why. I downloaded and installed this game. The screen froze on the title page and I had to do a hard reboot.

Agree with you Jeffrey.

I used to ask, every time I posted a review, for the community to post their thoughts, but only a few community members ever bothered; (sadly).

I still believe that if the community had shown more interest in posting reviews and suggestions of the games they got for free, more developers would have been interested in giving games away.

This site could have become a hub for developers to have their games checked out and we would have seen some great games (I reckon).

Sadly my pleas always landed (mainly) on deaf ears. That said, I'm sure many community members have busy lives so spending 20 minutes or so after playing a game may have been a little too much. Cest La Vie.... :(

It would be great if that were true, but unfortunately writing, eg, "this game is crap; I hate it, and others of this type" takes just a few seconds, and doesn't need any thinking; perhaps this person even has never stopped to think about the reasons for these dislikes/hates, and doing THAT would take time, and would probably not be a pleasant way to use their time.
Writing any sort of actual review does take time and effort, and many who look at giveaway sites want the exact opposite...
