GEXOID is a fast-paced arcade game with hexagonal crystals, neon graphics and endless gameplay. Control the paddle, bounce the ball and shatter intricate figures made of gemstones — from sparkling hearts to symmetrical stars and butterflies.

Every level brings a new shape, new colors and a new background. The game never ends until you give up. How many levels can you beat?

What Awaits You

Each level greets you with a new crystal formation — circles, diamonds, hearts, pyramids, crosses, rings, stars, butterflies and much more. All shapes are perfectly symmetrical and look like mosaics made of precious gems. Levels go on forever while the difficulty keeps rising — crystals become tougher, indestructible blocks with locks appear, and the ball gradually speeds up. The visual style keeps changing too — background themes shift from level to level, creating a fresh atmosphere every step of the way.

Crystals

Regular crystals break in a single hit. Tough ones withstand two or three hits and develop visible cracks. Indestructible blocks stand out with their silver color and a lock symbol — they cannot be broken, but you don't need to. Clearing all regular and tough crystals is enough to complete the level.

Power-ups

Every shattered crystal has a chance to drop a bonus capsule. Catch it with your paddle to gain an advantage. There are seven types of power-ups in the game.

Multiball (x3) splits the ball into three. Wide Paddle makes the paddle significantly wider for 12 seconds. Slow (SLO) reduces the ball speed, making it easier to control. Sticky (FIX) makes the ball stick to the paddle so you can aim before launching. Power (PWR) is the strongest bonus — the ball pierces straight through crystals without bouncing, destroying entire rows in seconds. Laser (LAS) makes the paddle automatically fire lasers from both sides. Shield (SHD) creates a protective barrier at the bottom of the screen that saves the ball up to three times.

Combo System

Shatter crystals in quick succession to earn a score multiplier. The combo builds up to x10 and resets if you don't hit a crystal within two seconds. The current multiplier and floating score numbers are displayed on screen with every hit.

Controls

The paddle is controlled with the Left and Right arrow keys or the A and D keys. Space launches the ball at the start of a round and releases it when Sticky is active. P pauses the game. ESC returns to the main menu where you can continue your current run or quit the game.

Tips

Catch power-ups — they can save your life, especially Shield and Multiball. Try to chain long combos for the highest score. Don't waste time on indestructible blocks — play around them. Pay attention to the bounce angle: hitting the ball with the edge of the paddle adds more spin, while hitting with the center sends it nearly straight up. Your best score is saved between sessions — try to beat your own record.
