First comment I have ever made. This game is terrible.
I like freecell, but NOT this game.
Terrible graphics, fuzzy and hard to read numbers, limited options, cards go into the upper right section automatically - even if they could have been used to put a card onto.
VERY disappointed in DoubleGames.
I uninstalled it in minutes.

"Oh my, a bit of nudity (cartoon style)…? So what!"

The problem is if people are linking to these downloads on their websites, doing so may be violating their web hosts' terms of use (regarding linking to adult content). We won't be linking to GAOTD anymore because we can risk being closed down if some troll complains.

Don't care about this card game, I don't play card games on a computer. Thanks for the offer GAOTD, but I'll pass this one.

This is my first comment on GGAOTD, and I'm only making it to reaffirm the points that have already been made: the nudity was unexpected and inappropriate, but even without it the graphics are shoddy and hard on the eyes. I couldn't even make it through one round because the screen was such a jumble of low res stuff that you can't focus on the cards. I closed it promptly and uninstalled it. Boo to DoubleGames!

LOL

I wouldn't exactly call it nudity, as they are not photos, but simply erotic artwork. Doesn't offend me, as I didn't realize that GAOTD games were required to be family oriented. *roll* Meh.

P.S. I prefer the original Windows Freecell. Not recommended.

I love Freecell. The cards on this version are harder to read than most. There is a glitch with the Ace of Hearts, as one other reader commented. Two show up in one game and the extra has no where to go. When I quit the game to see if that would end the glitch, all my progress was gone because there is no place to enter your name. The nudity shocked me and now my 7 yo little boy is hanging around my computer waiting for the naked pics to come back. haha He did not see them the first time but heard me laugh and wanted to know what was so funny about my Freecell game. :)

I'll still play this version to see if I can get through the whole game without the glitch. I really wish there was a way to imput my name though. Am I missing something?

Am not happy, as the levels went in, the tile pictures had womans breasts, all drawn cartoony but inaprpriate for us. If I had known this I would not have downloaded the game, I am concerned families will download and play this game unawares and that seems wrong. Please give clearer warnings.

@ 42 and 47: Thank you for underscoring and validating my concerns about DoubleGames. I, too, resented nudity on a game they marketed to children and promptly boycotted this company.

Like you, I considered removal of the GAotD link from all of my certified child-safe sites; I reconsidered simply because the GAotD team provides much-needed exposure to so many new software developers. Instead of penalizing the innocent, why not direct our energies to 'passing the word' about DoubleGames' substandard software and penchant for nudity. Readers will not have to rely on our word; a review of any DoubleGames offering will speak for itself.

With this additional offense to family values, DoubleGames has cemented its reputation as a company devoid of original thought and integrity.

#6, you might want to try different downloaders. I have 3 or 4 of them. Sometimes what 1 won't download, the others will. And #42 better cartoon nudity than the real nudity/seminudity (Britney, Lindsay, Paris)found on MSN, Yahoo, Google, etc.
Also, Castle of Cards a few weeks ago had nudity as well.

/Really/ annoying sounds that can't be turned off, broken gameplay, lame graphics. I was exited by this as a freecell fanatic (I was part of one of the teams that proved all-but-one of the positive numbered games to be playable, and invented the notation that the team used). But this turned out to be rubbish.

Still, thanks folks. It was at least useful because I now know another software house not to bother with.

Being a manager of the site Snoops refers to, Pamela, there is good reason to complain. MSN Groups will close us down for linking to sites that offer nudity and we have been linking to both the giveawayoftheday and the game giveawayoftheday. Us and our members have worked very hard to make our site a success.

I find it very disconcerting that on the page where this game is offered the word "erotic" is missing from the description of versions of play although is present at the download page. Almost like it was intentionally left off to hide it. When I read the description this morning, had that word been present on the first page, I would have checked the game out further before I posted the link to the game for our 35,000 members, which includes children, to check out.

It would be nice if ggaotd could give some assurance that in the future games with nudity will be clearly marked as such so we know not to send children to the site to get them. If not, we will have no choice but to prohibit a link to this site on our group if this happens again.

The game doesn't let you select the cards or drag and drop from the card you want (no drag and drop at all), and it will sometimes select smaller portions of a valid column than you want. I also didn't see a place to enter my name, in case I get a high score.

Adventure mode looks promising though. Will give it a bit more of a try, but it's not the best implementation overall. In fact, you may find you prefer the free Windows Freecell from Microsoft.

GAOTD, you're having a joke, surely!

You ask us to spread the word about your site then you offer games with nudity in them.

Most of the games you've offered are very definitely kids games, how would you like it if your kids saw these disgusting pictures?

I've recommended your site to a forum with 35,000 members and you do this to us?????????????

Come on GAOTD, reply with your excuse..........if you have one!

Their 'Fishing Trip' graphic is a clone of 'Fortune Fishing Game' ..
Their 'Intricate Words' graphic is a clone of a Disney graphic ...
They assume nudity is a viable marketing tool for games, of all things
...

No. I believe I'll pass on any Double Games offering.

Thank you for the efforts, GAotD team. Your work is always appreciated.

So far I've just tried the practice version of this game... yeah, the movements aren't as smooth as the Windows Freecell, but I like that there's actually a little personality to the cards (I've only seen the gangster cards). It's not a bad little game, though you need to be somewhat familiar with solitaire and Freecell in general.

I might be in the minority here, but I'd like to see more card games here, especially in the solitaire genre. I happen to like card games, since you can usually play a quick game when you have a minute or two. Thanks for offering this one, GGOTD!

Downloaded and installed flawlessly on Windows XP using Firefox. There are tasteful nude cards that families may wish to screen before sharing with their kids.

A rules of play is included in the menu. There is a wide choice of face card pictures and backgrounds. You can choose single or progressive games. There is no music or sound. There is a version of this in Windows, but when I compared them I liked the smoother graphics and gameplay in this Elite Freecel much more.

I was looking forward to another good game using numbers(for my math confused brain). I enjoyed this one's graphics and smooth play once I got accustomed to the rules. Then I discovered it times out and ends abruptly when the bonus points gets to 0. :( I could see I would probably win the game, but needed a bit more time. When it times out, the option to continue the game re-deals from the beginning and you loose your progress.

Dang! I enjoyed winning a few games, but after some frustration with the time outs, uninstalled it. I know some games are built this way. It makes a game a challenging. But for me to keep it, I would want to see an option to select an endless game from the menu. Perhaps GGotD will offer a similar game for me from another source in the future.

Thanks DoubleGames and GGotD for all your free games offered here.

Interesting. The cards are a little difficult to view and if you reshuffle the deck, everything you've placed in the Aces section disappears and you just lose your placed cards. It's ok for a free game, but I wouldn't be very happy if I'd paid for it.

Thanks so much GOTD! It's great to be able to try out new products!

I was hoping for a cool option to regular freecell. At first it seemed like this would work OK, but in the middle of the second game the Ace of Hearts came up twice on the home pile, and never deleted itself in subsequent games. It remained in place and covered the actual cards that were in the pile.
I give this game a big thumbs down!!!

Just downloaded and installed on my Vista Business edition. It errored out on the first attempt, but vista came back and asked if I wanted to install with the 'recommended' settings and everything worked ok. Then I went to play. This is a cute freeware game. Graphics are very Windows 98 era. They do not display well, especially in full screen mode. And the aforementioned habit of automatically raising cards to the Home Cells just cost me a game.
Finally, it is not a family friendly game. The infantile mind of the developer is seen in the semi-nude card design choice. I would ignore this if I could. But in the Adventure game you are NOT allowed to choose your card style. So as I was playing the game, surprise, this immature minded card stile popped up. They aren't even all that erotic, but might be good enough for those of you who can't get past locker room humor.
I rate this 3 out of 10. I cannot imagine anyone paying for this game. If Vista Business had any pre-installed games I would uninstall this game, but I will wait until GGOTD comes up with a replacement.
