Eared Hero is a 2D side scrolling platformer where you have to collect carrots, negotiate various platforms, some of which are moving constantly and avoid enemies such as flying bugs and other traps (that look like bear traps). Once all the carrots are collected by the protagonist, which incidentally is represented by a rabbit, you can proceed to the next level. The developer says in his introduction 'which you can read at the top of the gamegiveaway page' that there are many levels, but I only see evidence for 12 levels. There are 90 mixed Steam community reviews HERE, with most of the negative ones complaining of broken levels, a lack of any response from the developer and unobtainable achievements, which in this free standing version are not available. What little of the game I've played so far I found reasonably challenging. If you like platformers it's probably worth the effort to download as it is free; but personally I wouldn't pay the £1.69 Steam are asking for it. I'm not a platform lover, so have already deleted this as I can find much better platformers for free via Caiman games HERE (hundreds to choose from). I do have some favorite platformers that I'd recommend such as GISH, Super Meat Boy and Wik & the Fable of Souls (I couldn't find an official download site, but did find a Media-fire one that tested negative for any malware, but I can't post a link to it as I doubt it is a legal download link.

Don't forget that Epic Games have two new games to give away this week, i.e. Costume Quest a turn based strategy adventure game based around Halloween and SOMA a sci-fi horror game about identity, consciousness, and what it means to be human. These two games will no longer be available free later this afternoon, so this is the last chance to grab them for free. They change over to Nuclear Throne a post-apocalyptic rogue-like top-down shooter and Ruiner a brutal action shooter set in the year 2091 in the cyber metropolis Rengkok.
