Sorry folks, was up most of last night. By the time this game went live I wasn't in the mood to even turn on my computer. Only just seen todays game at 9.30pm.

Notes on Security

I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game using Virus Total and it found zero hits from 57 antimalware engines.

The downloaded executable 'may' include some low level adware that only opens your browser once to Falcoware's home page after the game has installed and also places four shortcuts onto your desktop (which can be safely deleted once the game has installed).

The installation does NOT inject any malware into your system. When your browser is opened to Falcoware's home page following the games installation, it earns Falcoware games some money, part of which is given to the developer of the game for allowing the game to be given away for free. Once you've installed the game, there are no more browser redirections. This is because Falcoware removed their installer almost two years ago (that installer would show an advert for a game while the game was loading (which always took about 20 seconds to ensure you'd seen the advert) . It would also always open your browser each time you closed the game after playing it.)
If you're still not convinced of the games efficacy and want to be absolutely sure that the game is safe to install, please use a sandbox program first, to check that the game is safe to install before installing it to your C drive or other drives on your computer (assuming you have more than one drive).

There are free sandbox programs such as Sanboxie, GeSWall, BitBox, Windows Sandbox, Bufferzone (a six month commercial license was given away via the applications side of the project back in December 2009 HERE), Shadowzone, as well as others. (You'll find them all on the same page from Techwhoop.
You can see the results of the installed games scan via the following link:

It looks good but it only seems to be one level and then it goes back to the main screen where I can't choose anything. I used Alt F4 to get out of it. Might be a good game but with only one level it's not worth it. I didn't check their website to see if the full game is there.

RandomGamer,

I've seen a few games over the last few years, where the game looks good; then you find there's only one level, and no exit button. Usually a Unity based game.

I went to the itch.io website and someone else had the same problem as I did.

RandomGamer,

Sadly there's an increasing number of games that are so short, I wouldn't even call them a demo. When I fist started to use digital media, demo's used to be an hour long session, where you could play as far into a game as 1 hour would allow.

I think the situation has arisen due to the cheap game engines that are easily available. A few years ago for example you could pick up the latest copy of RPG Maker and a shed load of DLC content that would normally cost you hundreds of pounds for a little more than ten pounds via one of the well known bundle sites. Same with other game engines such as game maker. Even big name engines such as Crytek can be subscribed to for a reasonable cost, and then churn out loads of short first person shooters, that actually look really good, but have no story and are usually full of bugs and unfinished. Most of those games are either from scam artists or wanna be developers.

Good night, it's after 3.30am here, must crash

If one goes by the above pictures it is and will remain the unknown. I hope the game itself isn't that dark. I won't be downloading it as I am past playing sides scrolling games.
Stay safe
