Chewing Gum Tests:

In Brief:
Chewing Gum Tests is a minimalistic 2D side scrolling physics-based puzzle platformer.

To move your lump of chewing gum press either the Left (LMB) or Right (RMB) Mouse Button to throw it to that spot. The LMB gives a strong jump, the RMB a weak jump. To aim use your mouse pointer to direct where you wish the lump to go then release the mouse button. A hashed line will appear showing you where the gum will move.

Watch out for obstacles and moving object/mechanisms. Moving gears can be used as platforms to launch the gum from. Collect the stars and get to the end of the level. To proceed to the next level, of which there are fifteen. Each level has a rating of one, two or three stars. Collect all the stars to get a three-star rating. Press the red button to move to the next level. As you progress through the levels they become much harder to beat.

Conclusion:
Initially I though the star rating was related to how long it took to complete a level; however, as mentioned above it turned out it was just the stars you managed to hit that gave the star rating. One a level is unlocked you can replay it any time. When returning to the game if you select play it will always start you from level one. To continue where you left off select the level button.

I didn't find much difference between the LMB and RMB lengths of throw.

This reminds me a little of a platform game I used to play a lot called Wik and The Fable of Souls where Wik, the protagonist, used his extendible tongue to swing from point to point. That game despite its age (around 15 years old) was graphically more beautifully rendered than today's game.
