this game really gets you thinking. but i think that they make it to easy for me and other kids like me.my dad thinks that it is a weird game because it is so EASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and it probably is good for some old people but they would probably have to be the type that likes to do puzzles and other things like that. well thats all i got to say on this subject!!!well talk to you some other day about a game BA BYE.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To all others who get the demo version - make sure to read the readme.txt first. You must activate the game before installing it.

They are not free - These games are LIMITED TIME USAGE.
This site should be upfront and stop saying that they are free.

I played this game for while this morning and I enjoyed it. Although I don't really consider it traditional mahjong even for the solitaire game that we're used to on computers. Whether or not you can play a tile seems kind of random at times. But I guess they had to do something to make it a little harder to play. overall an OK way to waste some time. Thanks G.G.O.T.D.

Wonderful little game! Kept my 73 yr. old mother off line for hours. Thank you so much. Mahjong is a long time favorite.

why does it say free game and it is a demo

I've only found you a couple days ago :( but liked so much that I've put your site on my blog.

I downloaded and installed this game and it didn't work. It is only giving me the demo version with 60 Min of play available. It says there is 7 hrs remaining to download and install. I don't understand why I didn't get the full version of this game. I was able to do the Direct access install and have that one but it didn't give me this one.

@18 Swan: Did you try this on the "hard" level? I breezed through the "easy" ones too, but I can barely make it through the third "hard" level. :( (But I'm probably not the best player, either!)

I see very little comparison between this and real Mahjongg, which may cause some people to think it's similar to the "Doublegames.com" offering from a few days ago. This is definitely much better.

This is a really great game, unlike any other mahjon game I played before - graphics are excellent; the fact that I can change the music in the middle of the game is awesome; I played it for so long today, that my wife wanted to try it, and she also loved it and played for over 2 hours. Thank you for a great addition to my game collection; now all I need to do is wait for you to give away a good Word game, and we'll be all set.

I've got to agree that this game is etremely easy, however my 6 year old daughter will enjoy it as she loves matching games. he ability to change the symbols on the tiles is a nice touch. Thank you Alawar and the GGAotD team for another fine game.

I love the original Mah-Jong. I've even got a nice set of resin tiles with bamboo bases and a set of scoring bones. Does anyone know of a real Mah_Jong program as I'd love to play a traditional game of Mah-Jong as opposed to matching tiles in the many solitaire versions of this game. Cost isn't a concern as it's the game I'm looking for. :) TIA.

Thanks for another nice game. I don't know why people grumble so much if today's Giveaway isn't to their taste--there's always tomorrow. Nobody's forcing you to download a program, and if you do download it and don't like it, just delete it. It's not costing you anything. I'm hoping one of those 'item finding' games will show up--but enjoy being surprised by what's on offer each day.
Personally, I've never had any problem downloading and activating any of the programs so far. I open the 'activate' program first, which gives me an Activate icon. Then I install the program, and right click and Open the Activate program.

I love mahjongg and this is a good implementation, thanks GGOTD

Ive just tried to install this game, followed instructions, successfully activated, but when I try the setup.exe I get "Error Launching Installer" - has anyone else had this problem??

Thanks GGOTD team -- Mahjong games are my favorite! I don't download the endless Arkanoid ir PacMan clones, or the many shoot-'em-up games, so I really appreciate the occasional Mahjong or puzzle or card game.

Hello all... well I downloaded the game.. did just fine.. but when I went to play it on the 2nd level.. only half of the items had a match.. when I pushed Hint... it highlighted all the tiles on the board.. and there wasnt anyway to get out of the game.. I finally just had to reboot.. what am I doing wrong???/ Trisha

Loved this game when I tried it as a demo - being slower than most at games that require timed paces, I find games like this to be welcome - easy enough that I can play it without stressing out. Some games I never get past the first level. Anyway - love the game, and the kids will too. Great fun.

I played this as a 30 minute demo many moons ago and loved it. Thank you GGotD and Alawar for this free full version of the game. I am constantly amazed by your generosity. It downloaded & activated smoothly as usual and plays without hiccoughs on WindowsXP.

Excellent options menu for music, effects, fullscreen, game messages and tile sets. The options for different tile sets are so cute! You can choose nature, kitchen, or tools theme for your tiles.

FYI Alawar: When it is windowed my computer shows it by the name "Zokkbloxx!" Is looks like this name is associated with the German-language version. I don't know if that info is useful to you when it comes to marketing and branding.

As enjoyable as it was, it didn't get any more difficult as I progressed through to the end @ 51 levels.

If I'd paid for this game, I would have felt cheated - this game only lasted an hour or so before I reached the end.

I honestly can't believe they're charging $20! It's not worth more than $10 at the most. The game should have been more challenging - even for kids. I think even they would get frustrated at the lack of difference between one level and another.

Sorry Alawar - this game is definitely not one of your best. Still that's only one out of five games that you've offered us that I haven't enjoyed all that much - not a bad rate at all I suppose.

Now if this was a REAL Mah Jong game I'd be very interested.
Unfortunately for years now the trend has been to come up with yet another solitaire game, that just happens to use Mah Jong tiles as its basis, with even more ways of stacking the tiles and call it Mah Jong.
The real game of Mah Jong is actually sort of like Gin Rummy with tiles, you go for threes-of-a-kind and straights and first person to lay all their tiles down is the winner.
The scoring is the most daunting part of the game.

Good morning everyone!

Activation and installation went off without a hitch and I was pleased to see that Alawar was with us again! ;) So far, I'm enjoying all their games.

Graphics are vibrant and lovely to look at, right down to the texture on the stones and the cute snake. The options screen provides for volume control and SFX and also gives different options for music and stone sets.

There are hints you can use with point penalties and also an ability to restart the level if you wish at a penalty of one life.

My one gripe is that it's very easy. I'm on level 15 and I'm clearing each screen in under 2 minutes. I'm not sure how many levels there are as there isn't any indication, but I'm hoping it's about to get more difficult.

If it stays fairly easy, then I'd strongly recommend it as a children's game and one that they will enjoy immensely. They'll find it extremely easy to learn, especially if they've played other Mahjong games.

Thank you again Alawar for a quality game that can be played by both adults and children! It's lovely to see that you're still offering games to us to try and possibly buy! :)

Cute little mahjong game matching up kitchen items. Great for kids. I'm a 'senior' so don't know how long it will hold my attention, but I played through 4 games of the easy level pretty quick. Each section of each level gets harder. Not sure I care for the music, but it seems to urge me on to work faster.

Well i hope this one has option to turn off timer. sometimes you just want to waste time and not be in hurry. the last mahjonng didn't.

I like the Alawar programs of the past. I'm less impressed by this So in a scale from 0-10 I give the program 6 points.
