Only fat lazy people in the "developed" world could complain about getting something for free when they have more than enough money to go out and buy a decent game with the cash they have in their pockets. Even if it sucks, play it once, uninstall it, wait 24 hrs, repeat. You get a new game EVERY day! If you find a good one, play it for a couple of days while there are games you dont like.

whoa, is this site game giveaway or arguments r us?. All those complaining, stop it, if you don't like the game don't download it.
there's plenty of other sites out there you can go to as well but this is one of the only ones that gives full version unlocked games for free, thanks GOTD

#43 Mario Bros. had outstanding gameplay, and nobody here is commenting on the Graphics, this game can't even look at Mario Bros. But GGOTD don't start giving us Mario clones...

Also I have been coming here since February and I have seen my share of decent games, but right now it seems all we get is Baby games and Brave Dwaves expansions.

After the cards game an original idea again. But again I don't understand within 10 minutes how it works. So in a scale from 0-10 I give the program 8 points.

Being a 'newbie', I got some 'smart-alek', but some helpful comments the other day when I was having trouble. I now know there were TWO firewalls on my computer, and I now know how to download the games. To everyone who tried to help, a sincere THANK YOU! To those who told me to "try reading and following directions" (rather rudely, I might add), excuse those of us who are not 'all-knowing' like yourselves. If anyone else has trouble, try checking to see if you have 2 firewalls, as well. Thank you.

#51, I am also in my 40s and love these free games. I play them for the same reasons too, to get my mind off of 'real life'. GGAOTD, keep them coming :) Oh, and thanks for all the great games here and for providing them free of charge. I cannot believe all the people who 'look a gift horse in the mouth' around here. Be careful, someday, because of the nay-sayers, this place may shut down. My motto, if it's free, don't knock it!

I'm in my forties but I love these silly little games that take my mind off more pressing matters in my life. I'm definitely not into most of the current games out there especially those with shooting, stealing, etc. This game fits my mode of game playing and I cannot beat the price!!

#33 Swan....if you look in the upper right hand corner there are small squares that allow you to turn the music off. It's the one with a note on it. There is also a full screen button, a mute, help and a button to exit. You have to click on them to find out what they do, there is no popup when you move your mouse over them.

I love GGotD!! It's an easy way for me to trying out some games without having to be nagged with a screen telling me to register and/or pay up!

Tried it because of earlier comment about it being like "Rack-O". (Played that as a kid.) This is an okay game but, like other Doublegames games I've tried, it has annoying quirks like ending abruptly soon as you lose one level--especially without even getting to see the opponent's tower at higher levels!

Still had to delete the 2 shortcuts added to my Favorites Menu like with their earlier games, too. :(

I'm a few days new to the site and I love it. I love trying all the free games. Some I keep and others uninstall. This game is a keeper along with a few others. Thanks GGAOTD. I have shared your site with many since discovering it and a couple friends are hooked on checking your site daily for the free games. Gives us another interest to discuss at the water cooler. Keep up the great work.

I find it rather amusing that people complain of childish graphics.

No one ever complained that Super Mario Bros. had childish graphics.

If the game was released today it would be a 3rd rate open source project.

Today's game is neat but boring after a while, and I could find a similar game online.

However, I wish people would refrain from posting comments about how childlish or adult a game is just by looking at screenshots.

I haven't downloaded the game yet, but it reminds me of another game I have, a card game called Rack-O. It's just like this looks, except has the advantage of being playable by multiple people at the same time in real life. I recommend picking that game up if you're thinking of downloading this for your children.

Good morning everyone!

Activation and installation was a breeze and while playing the game, I haven't experienced any issues that the others have described.

I'm know why people are saying that it's a game for as young as 5-6 year olds, since I find it a little like Suduko in it's relaxation factor and use of brain cells ;)

Perhaps these people are more inclined to play shoot`em ups, breakouts etc. Personally I have a really wide range of genre game appreciation, so I'm rarely disappointed by a game.

Graphics are vibrant colored cartoons and I didn't even have to look at the help screen to work out how to play.

I found the music a little annoying and had to turn my speakers down, as there was no volume control that I could find. It's either music or no music - period. Remaining options are all in-game, sparse, and the game is not very configurable at all.

Runs excellently on Windows XP Pro.

Thanks again DoubleGames, I'm still enjoying a few of your other games also - and hope that you find value in remaining with us and offering more games in the future. I would dearly love to try and possibly buy "Virtual Villagers" - it almost resembles a Sims game.

Thank you always GOTD - everything you offer is well appreciated, even if I don't download all offers.

Have a great day everyone!
~ Swan

Cute games are a nice change. I don't have to kill in all of my games. Sometimes it's better to stack blocks and let the mutant live (for now). Of course once I get it built I won't allow any mutants to move in. Not renting to mutants!

Nice little game. Good for kids. When I get to the end of the game and the high scores pop up, clicking "OK" does nothing. I can't continue the game and must exit out of the program.

Almost seems like a single game trial but I did activate the program.

Could it be based on which version of flash I have or is this a java app and I have the newest java version which conflicts?

Thoughts? Shortcuts which may take me where I should go after completing a single game?

Ummm, #16, that is not a run-on sentence. Just because a sentence is long does not automatically qualify it as a run-on sentence.

VERY good FUN game for children to learn numbers above ten especially. Believe it or not, folks, there's an absence of FREE educational games for the earliest grades to learn these very necessary skills with colorful motivating graphics.

And hey! even the music is pleasant.
So keep up the good work, GOTD, this game is not frustrating like yesterday's Fishing Game was. THANK you!

This may not be a game for most people, me included..But I also see the benefit of this game, if you look at the idea of the game, you will see that it asks the person to stack the blocks the blocks from the highest number to the lowest number, this is in my opion (too early to spell correctly)a good educational game..
I look after a special needs adult lady full time, and this game could prove very useful for her to help her learn the difference between numbers..So before becoming negative and calling it a baby game, look at the full prospect of the game..The educational value....

Thanks 100% to GOTD and Doublegames!

What a wonderful little game! This will be great for the kids, and an occasional adult solitaire type game (won one, lost one :-)

The game teaches some important math concepts and is similar to math activities that 5-10 year olds do in Math class with ordering, probability and place value. I would recommend it for anyone with children in the house especially!

A couple suggestions for the developers:
1. It would be great with a two player mode so parents (or other kids) could play with the kids at the same time (or perhaps a network opponent, but I know that would add too much bloat). Having a computer opponent is OK, but can frustrate the younger ones if the AI is too smart.
2. The installer doesn't create a sub-folder in the Program Menu which would be nice. I personally like an organized Start Menu and if I direct the installer to the 'Games' subdirectory it would be nice if it would create a Tower Constructor folder automatically instead of having to type the custom subdirectory name in manually. EX: Start:Programs:Games:Tower Constructor instead of Start:Programs:Games:(all the shortcuts dumped) as it is now.

Again, a great big thanks for offering a positive, educational and fun little game! Way to go GOTD and DoubleGames!

P.S. Was interested in purchasing/testing some of the other games linked on this page but got a server not found error. Hopefully it is a temporary problem as the other DoubleGames look really good too!

#6 you might wish to look a bit in the mirror with respect to your own comment.
----------------
I love the concept and the results of GGOTD, but I also like to see a mix of non-clone games that points at both adults and children. This one's a bit "young" for me in terms of presentation, but I've been pleasantly surprised by some in the past that I thought were a bit too kiddie-oriented (Snowy Puzzle Islands). Will check this out.
