I'm retiring for the night. I will continue to moderate in the morning before the giveaway ends. If you have any problems downloading or installing today's games check the FAQ's thread HERE.

The Themida code that is used in the giveaway wrapper is sometimes blocked by anti-malware suites. If this happens, try installing the game in safe mode with networking, white list the giveaway installer or temporarily turn off your security. MPC games also contain remnants of low level adware, so ad-blockers may also try to block installation. The World of Cubes game is a Microsoft game and is played via your browser both in single and multiplayer, there's no actual download. You need to link the game with a Microsoft account. i used my Hotmail account log in to sigh into my Microsoft account. Good Night

In Brief

A bubble popping match 3

Suggestions:

Whether you like or dislike Bengal - Game of Gods please give some feedback about your opinion of today's game giveaway, for example, what you liked or disliked about the it, and how it could be improved from your point of view. If you don't like this genre at all, please explain why. What improvements would change your opinion? There are thousands of subscribers to the game giveaway of the day every weekend which makes this an ideal forum for giving developers ideas as to what their consumers (i.e you) would like to see in a game. For example, you could suggest extra content such as better or more original mini games, or a level editor that you would like to see that would make it more appealing to you. Maybe you think the graphics are a little dated and are in need of re skinning, or maybe you've just had enough of the genre and want to see something different or something with more originality? Giving such feedback instead of saying nothing or just saying this game is rubbish or good may bring more developers to the site, which could mean more and better games. Would you give away thousands of copies of a game (or extra content for a game) away to a community that complains all the time instead of giving useful feedback? It only takes a few moments of your time. This site could be transformed if only the community would be more forthcoming in their opinions of the games they are getting for free instead of complaining about the way this site has changed or that they don't like Steam games. If something isn't for you then move on to the next giveaway, or check out the extra's section at the end of this review; you never know, you may find something that interests you..

If you miss today's game giveaway you can get it 24/7 from MyPlayCity, HERE.

Introduction:

Do you want to spend your free time with a funny Bengal tiger? The main character meets you just at the beginning of Bengal - Game of Gods. He adores playing with balls and wants you to help him become the champion of jungles! The rules of the game are very simple. There are lots of bright and colorful 3D balls; your objective is to clear all the balls from the chain. Ball chains are moving in labyrinths which can change their direction. New colored balls appear in tiger's paws and clicking on the screen where you want it to go you can shoot the ball! Match three or more bright balls of the same color and as soon as you do it all of them disappear and your score increases.

The chain is constantly moving so don't be afraid of surprises! Another goal is not to let the balls' chain get into the monkey's mouth. Shoot the gold monkey for extra points. Every ball gives you points and your total score goes up. You need good reaction as after each victory the speed goes up as well as the level of difficulty. In spite of the barriers wonderful bonuses will make your way more fascinating. Test your accuracy and help the tiger to win in Bengal - Game of Gods! The tiger is very happy after each victory! During the game you enjoy quiet eastern music which helps feel the atmosphere of jungles where tigers live. There are several levels in Bengal - Game of Gods and you can choose some options yourself. Graphics is excellent - bright colors and original locations will leave pleasant impression - so, download the game right now.

The Game:

In Bengal: Game of Gods, you control a striped tiger who must throw a colored ball at a long string of multi-colored balls that snake out onto the screen. The balls follow a specific path, which varies from level to level, and ends inside the mouth of a stone monkey. Your goal is to aim and shoot the ball so that it touches same-colored balls (example: blue with blue); when three or more touch — one of which must be your ball — they explode and disappear. The goal is to clear the entire chain before it makes its way into the monkey’s mouth.

If you don’t want the color held by the tiger (e.g. red), you can swap it with the one on his back (such as green) by simply clicking the right-mouse button. The left-mouse button fires the ball onto the game board.

After every dozen levels or so, the board get increasingly faster and more complex as you travel through the Indian continent. Bengal: Game of Gods, however, adds a few interesting twists to this tried-and-true formula Golden statues will pop up from time to time during the level, and in different places, so you can shoot a ball to destroy it for bonus points.

Power-ups will appear on each board, represented by an icon inside a colored ball. Depending on the icon, you can slow down the speed of the track, temporarily reverse it, increase your accuracy with a light that shines in the direction of your throw, blow up a part of the chain, or turn all nearby balls into the same color. In order to use the power-up you must make a match of at least three touching balls with the same color as the power-up ball.

After the first few levels, you’ll notice the path of the stringed balls will actually change shape before your eyes. This adds another layer of strategy as you must alter the direction of your tiger’s throw to suite the new path. It may also interfere with your ball in mid-flight as it’ll end up somewhere you didn’t anticipate.

Visually speaking, Bengal: Game of Gods looks decent for its age and of course colourful; the exotic theme plays well throughout the level architecture, tiger and monkey animations and map screen, not to mention the middle-eastern music fits well, too.

It would be remiss, though, not to mention a few glaring issues with the game. Bengal: Game of Gods only features one game mode; it would have been better to include three or four different game types (each with unique rules) to add to the game’s replay factor.

More importantly is an issue with how the next color ball is shown. Because you’re looking at the chain instead of your tiger, you are seeing the next ball color out of the corner of your eye. The colored ball you’re about to toss onto the screen is only an inch away from the ball that will precede it, so many times I mistakenly thought I was shooting a red ball, for example, because it was queued up on the tiger’s back, when in fact it was a yellow ball, which ruined my shot. Compare this to games such as Zuma or Pirate Poppers, where the ball you may swap is much smaller than the one you’re firing, so you don’t get them confused.

If you can get past these issues, and the fact there are many similar games out there in cyberspace, the extra features found in Bengal: Game of Gods, such as the fun power-ups and a shifting chain, makes it worth playing.

I start the game last night and played up to about level 24 (without losing any tigers) before deciding I needed some sleep. This morning I got up and played to level 40 before the game beat me. So yes, it does get harder, or maybe my mouse hand got tired? Can you tell I like this one?

Very fast between levels, no stories or cut scenes to get in the way. Graphics are very good, fit the game well. I thought everything was easy to see. I like the distraction of trying to hit the gold monkey. The marble lines move around sometimes, and various things cause them to speed up and slow down. All this makes it much more of a challenge to be accurate.

I like that I can swap between the current and next shot colors. I found it very helpful to keep track of them so I can make two quick shots in a row (one lonely green marble in the line, and I have green for current & next shot, so aim once and click twice and I get a match of 3 green marbles).

Overall it's a simple game that at least starts easy for many levels. More colors are added as you progress, and there are special marbles in the lines that can add a layer of strategy - changing a row to the same color, blowing up everything in an area, slowing or rewinding the chains, giving an "accuracy" pointer for a while. I liked some of the music, it reminded me at times of something Steve Hillage might play. Music was never annoying. The sound it makes when you get a match IS annoying.

Not as classy as a Zuma game, but you get down to business faster, no waiting for scores to add up at the end of a level, no stories, no stores to buy powerups. Just straight-ahead marble blasting!

VIRUS !!!!!

...........................................Moderator comment...................................

Hi Michel

The games exe file is wrapped in a Themida based code that protects the game from being ripped by hackers. Trouble is, Themida can also be used to hide malware, so some security programs block the installation. To install the game you can either reboot your computer in safe mode then install, white list the wrapper or temporarily turn off your security while you install the game. The giveaway team have been giving games away virtually every weekend for the past 10 years (and for 18 months every day back in 2006 to 2008) and have never given away a game infected with malware. the giveaway team thoroughly check all files for download to ensure they are safe. They are highly regarded by the major search engines; if they allowed malware to be downloaded they would lose this standing.

Win10 64bit Home. I liked Zuma but this one is easier. Did not like the music and the sound was so annoying. What was it saying..........I......I.............I..... Ergh. I didn't like the fact that each time you exit out of the game you got saved a new spot. Like, if you exited out twice there would be two spots with your name on it, different scores. Oh and I don't remember playing this game with this computer, maybe on another computer, but some how my name is there. IDK.

Hi Suzanne

Yes, I found he music loop and especially that weird noise annoying, and the game was very easy to beat. Thanks for your feedback.

Well here goes my Saturday!!!! Fantastic fun and great graphics, action, and joyful Tiger and Golden Monkey.
I do prefer a place to enter players name in the beginning and be able to choose which player is playing the game. This is one where when you exit gameplay, the scoreboard shows and you enter new name or just accept what it chose for you.
By the way, how did this game know my name to start the first game??????
Fun game and thank you GOTD.

There are several Steam games available for free via Simplo. To get a Steam key for Vitatio 2 (see list below) you first need to goHERE, then follow the steps. Step 1 then sign into your Steam account via the Vitatio 2 page. Step 2 then give an email and name then click on the save buttons. Step 3click on next to go to the third step optional connect to Twitter. Join the lit network (Steam group) and visit the G2A site via the Buy Steam games button (you don't need to buy), refresh the Vitatio 2 page for the Steam games task to complete then fill in the reCAPTCHA - claim your Vitatio 2 key. If you think that's too much bother, but still fancy the game it's only £0.79p/$0.99. I've not bothered trying for the other games as I already have them. I'm sure the format to claim is basically the same as for Vitatio 2. good luck to those who bother.

Check Simplo for the rest of the free Steam keys. The following games are still available for free, though some keys are almost gone. You'll find the main link HERE
VITATIO 2 - 13794 keys left
Lost Moon - 1697 (also available via Indie Gala see Delenns comment)
Headshot - 95 keys left
Crackhead - 6339 keys left

Love bubble poppers! And haven't played one for ages, so this was a delightful surprise. Having the chain's path change mid-screen is new to me, but a nice twist. Thumbs up for this one.

...........................................Moderator comment...................................

:) Yes, and to me. Never seen it done in this way, which is why I'll be keeping this one despite having a large number of these bubble poppers already.

A nice ball-shooter game, I like this genre in general and this one is fairly nice. I have a couple of problems with it: 1) It doesn't allow you to name the player. If you have several players, they all end up playing under the name the system decides for you when you install the game. Also, I don't like the name it chooses to call me, I would rather have my own "player moniker" listed. And 2) The balls move pretty fast right from the start, it gives you little time to "come up to speed". The full path that they follow is significantly shorter than those in INCA and others, giving you much less time to deal with the faster pace. And the firing seems to be a bit less responsive than the others., again making accuracy an issue. All in all, a good game but with room for improvement.

Thank you for your feedback bebop. I think it chooses the admin name you use for your computer. You can set up multiple accounts, but it does appear to be the same name used each time. I started a new game after level 21, then restarted and it allowed me to carry on with my original game.

I used to play Zuma all the time, then kind of forgot about it. This game is in that genre, and is very addictive! Just blew through the first 20 levels. Had to quit for awhile because my eyes are crossing. Haha. Make sure the battery in your mouse is charged! Thanks for the giveaway!!

Thank you for your feedback lara. The only issue I have so far with this game is the lack of new backgrounds. It would have been nice to see a few different backgrounds, say every fith level; still, the gameplay is addictive tohugh not as much as Zuma or the Luxor series. It would also be nice to be able to upgrade the power ups.

unfortunatelly the installator crashes...

...........................................Moderator comment...................................

It may be your security that is blocking the installation due to the Themida wrapper that is used. Try installing the game in safe mode with networking, or white listing the giveaway files with your security; failing those the easiest way is to temporarily turn off your security until the game is installed. If you use a separate anti adware program, that could also be blocking the installation becasue the MPC games given away here still have remnants of low level adware.
