The bad girl goes on the path of revenge and the total annihilation of annoying monsters that, as a result of unknown experiments, turned into human-like creatures and armed, they destroy all who caught sight of people. Bad Girl - Hardcore platformer made in the old-school style where there is nothing superfluous, only enemies and your shooter skills. Collecting coins on your way, you can get bonuses that help in the further passage of the game.

The Game

Bad Girl starts in windowed mode.; to change to full screen select options.. The graphics are retro looking and pixelated, especially if you play in full screen mode. To access the main menu buttons you have to use your keyboard arrow keys. There are five language options to choose from; i.e. English, Russian, German, Spanish, and French. Once in game use the WASD keys for movement, to jump higher double tap the W key and to shoot, use the left mouse button to fire and your mouse pointer to aim. Survive a total of 30 levels by shooting all enemies on each level including the final boss battle. Once you've cleared a level of opponents a portal appears that will transport you to the next level. The retro pixelated graphics look quite decent and game play is reasonably hard. Levels become steadily harder as you progress. You handgun holds 20 rounds; there is a negligible delay when the gun is reloading. Collect coins on each level; you don't have to collect all of the coins once all of the opponents have been dispatched for the portal to open. As you progress level environments change. These are referred to as Worlds 1, 2, 3 etc. Each world has a number of stages to work through.. You get three lives at the start, however when you pass a level you recoup at least two lost lives up to a maximum of four lives. Every time an opponent hits you you'll lose half a life. Once you lose all your lives you have to start from the beginning of the level you died on and your coin score starts from zero. You can pause the game by pressing the Esc key. Keys cannot be re-mapped, which is a pity as I find the WASD keys in combination with the mouse a little difficult being a left handed player. Overall the game is quite decent, though the opponents to have a tendency to fall off their platforms once you instigate the first shot and end up at the bottom of the level, making it easier to clear some levels, however, once past the first few levels, there are a lot of opponents to dispatch, and it's much harder to avoid getting hit. If you enjoy medium difficulty to hard core platformers, this is worth downloading. There is no exit game button once you've started the game, so you have to send your game to the task bar using the Alt-Tab keys or Ctrl-Alt-Del, then close the game by hovering over the games icon and pressing the X. Later levels include bonus items, but I never got past level three before having to give up and post this review. ;)
