Whiterabbit-uk,
Fantastic Escape-Run-Getaway game. Highly enjoyable... Thanks a lot StarsAshes Games and game.giveawayoftheday.com
one of my favorite time wasters - I nearly pla it daily and have accumulated nearly 7000 unused moonshines ;) Save them for my next looong run. The first one lasted almost half an hour and resulted in 1,3 million points and nearly 300 in speed. Could have reached more, but the faster you get, the shorter and "uninteresting/tedious" are the running intervals. So an allstar leaderboard would be fine for me ;)
Still have this game since it was last offered and really like it - it's short, fast and can be played in breaks. The much I like it, the more I was embsrrassed with the new version:
- Sound quality is not as good as with the old one (music is OK, but sounds when moving or collecting coins, etc. don't work properly and cannot be heard) - but this could be also just a problem of my puter
- graphics do not look as sharp and good any more (in my opinion) - and moreover some obsta cles (mainly those straw things) start flickering in their center the longer the run takes - could also be just a problem my puter, but it did not happen with the older version.
one thing that might have become better is the programming - or it is easier for my puter to calculat ;) but I have played the new version for quite some time now and haven't experienced the annoying situation thst you are running into 3 waggons and cannot jump over (no power-up, normal jump is not enough). So there is always a way to go on now.
some points I miss in your , WR, review are:
- you can buy "power-ups', but to activate them you have collect while running either the sneaker for the super jump or the magnet for collecting all coins
- arrow down button is used for rolling or sliding under obstacles, but you can also use it to "cancel" a jump, if the distance between the obstacles is too short for a normal jump, and also to get past the swinging sand bags.
- to brew your moonshine (when you have no money to one any more), you need to collect sacks of corn, barley, yeat - three different bags for one bottle. Or you collect the bottles when running
Think I will stick with the previous giveaway due to all the problems above, but from time to time will practice with the new one as well, as the scores are stored seperately and not in the program folder, and are used by both versions.
but all in all, this is a great game for me - doesn't need much to entertain me ;) thanks ggaotd
Thank you White Rabbit, that's the trick, at least on my computer!
Angry Daddy lives in Colorado. He ain't angry no more!
Looks like a fun game. Download and installation went fine, but the runner does not respond at all to the arrow keys as indicated. Any suggestions?
topazdragon, you can change key bindings at start screen. just click the input tab in the configuration screen and adjust them to your likings. hope this helps, unless it is not a keyboard failure, other error or else ...
Agree with comments about poor port from phones & tablets. Worse part being that bribe part needing the mouse after slamming away with arrow keys & right hand. Gave up after got too the girders parts. Yes after enough runs you do get
the motion down but that's not enough to hold anyone who is beyond twitchy feelie age. Was ok Windows 10 x64 Pro.
Thanks GOTD will check Sunday. Back to Blizzard games.
"I honestly don't understand why they port these kind of games to the PC." by Mavadelo
To each their own I imagine. There is enough interest in playing typical Android games on a PC/laptop that there are now several projects developing Android emulators just for that. Google on terms like Windows Android &/or Android on PC. When you are running Android [on your PC or Android device], do check out Amazon's Underground over in their Android apps & games section... you'll find an [I think] amazing number of games for free you'd have to pay for elsewhere.
Of course if you're running 10 there is a selection of these sorts of games in the store -- just not nearly as many as you see with Android & iOS.

My personal opinion & all that, Please DO continue to call attention to that sort of thing. Microsoft is making it as easy as they can to port these apps & games over to the Windows store, with their bridge software etc., & they've recently bought another company, giving developers the ability to write code once, port anywhere, right from Visual Studio. Android game developers I think could use some encouragement to use that stuff.

As they say: "You kiss your mother with that mouth", Dharnish? ;)
And now I have another problem - I'm unable to make the moonshine button work. I click on it with my mouse and nothing happens. So all I'm doing is starting over and over again. That gets very boring. What might be wrong? is there a key I can click on?
I think I've figured out what's going on. I seemed to have run out of bottles to dispense.
I have two comments:
1) it would help if your included a brief set of instructions on how to play. I know this sounds simple, but it was abit confusing until I read the moderator's overviews.
2) I'm right handed so I use my mouse with my right hand. The arrow keys (or numeric pad) are also found on the right hand side of the keyboard. Movement in the game is simple enough with the arrow keys but then you crash and have to fumble around for the mouse so you can click on the moonshine button. I would make playing of this game much smoother and less annoying (since you always have to start over if papa catches you) if you set another key (i.e. space bar) to click on for starting the game and for the moonshine clicks. In other words, eliminate the use of the mouse.
Thanks for this and so many other enjoyable games.
Mewzical, you can adjust key bindings in the configuration screen at stsrtup (input tab). maybe there is one for your 'problem'
I haven't found one for the break-button so far ... and this is on the top left, so a looooooong way to move - and the runner may be crashed already before you reach it ...
I honestly don't understand why they port these kind of games to the PC. That said .. as far as runner games go this is a decent one. Graphics are ok, gameplay functions as should. Those that like runner games should find some fun in this. For me... heading over to origin to get MoH, I have it on disc but it isn't read anymore by my pc for some reason so Origin is a good way to get it back without resorting to bays with buckaneers or feline named sites. Hoping tomorrow will be more to my liking. As always thanks to GGOTD and the devs for allowing us to play these games.
Superb, the angry daddy who allows his daughter to dress up like a tart, seduces you, and now run for your life cause you kinda liked the forbidden fruit. Thus and what's the problem? The "Bieber kicking" game scored lots of negative responces, I liked it. Storyline is simple, if you don't like these kind of games, don't even bother to download and install.
Now I just hope that if I manage to finish the top level I will be rewarded with an RPG, get to turn around and blast the living daylight out of this angry daddy, however since this is an endless game I reckon this is not going to happen. oh dear...
I think this game is in poor taste - the game play is nice and all, but it plays on stereotypes. Would you equally enjoy a game where the antagonist were an overly-protective Arab or African, or would you scream about the stereotyping?
.
Downloaded, Installed and Activated with no problems on my Win10x64 machine using Edge for the Browser. A very nice little game today if I may say so. Have only played for a very short while so this review will be brief. The Graphics are very nice, the runner easy to manipulate. Lol, I still find myself running head on to some of those barricades though! Usually trying to cut the corners a little close I guess. I'll have plenty of time to check this one out as its a definite keeper for me! Its not a game I see myself playing "often" as other games and genre's have my attention at the moment. But something I will come back to and back to and play half hour/hour at a time. Lol , just the ticket for a break from the usual games.
Only suggestion I could have for the Developers (StarsAshes I believe.) would be to have some mouse controls for some of us spoiled kids :)
Thank you GGOTD and of course the Developers for this nice diversion.
I enjoy this type of games, they better than those Match 3 ....................... inappropriate word removed by moderator..................games that are given away every month.
Thankyou GAOTD and the creator for hours of fun. A keeper and a +1 from me. (y) ^_^
