Downloaded and installed on Windows 10 64 bit with no problem. The early tutorial items picked up OK. But after that, no matter what I clicked on, nothing would happen. Any solutions?

Lynette, I kept clicking around and finally found that by clicking on the column that had risen, unlocked everything and could continue.

This game is old enough that it stores its game save files in your Documents folder:
%userprofile%\Documents\BlitPop\Lunar\
If you have Ransomware protection activated in Windows Defender (Win10), You will need to allow this in the Protected Folders.
Alternately, you can run it in Compatibility Mode (the troubleshooter selected Win 7 as the mode) and then it will store the save files in the Public User documents folder:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\BlitPop\Lunar\
As for the game itself, at the beginning it goes into a tutorial mode. When it shows you the first object part to find and you click it to collect it, it then needs you to find the second part of that object before you can do anything else. Not a problem once you know that, but it doesn't tell you that that is what it wants you to do.
I would also suggest reading through the comments from the 2013 give-a-way posted by 'Trying 2 B Helpful' in the first comment here. It looks like there are a few places where the game will lock or crash if you do things in the wrong order. The 2013 comments look to be helpful in finding these and getting around them.
I found a walkthrough on Big Fish:

Installed on Win 10 64-bit with no issues. Took a little bit of clicking around to figure out the next step. The hint button blacks out when there's something more you need to do on the screen. Will spend a few hours playing today.
There were too many dialogue boxes to read, but seems okay.
Thanks and have a great day!

When I try to install the game it says "FAILED TO CONNECT. PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER". Well, it keeps telling me that every time I try. Any ideas? Thanks.

I don't remember this one from its last GGOTD appearance, but having read the Comments from then, it seems there are some "tricky" parts in this game, and one point where it seems that collecting pieces in the "wrong" order can crash the game: though that was only mentioned once, so might not have been a problem with the game itself.
Regular readers (!) will know that although I am a big fan of HOGs generally, I usually hate the "EVERYthing is collect-the-parts" style of game. However, I will — until I've played it! — excuse that in today's game because it seems from the screenshots that:
a) the "pieces" don't look too small to see (or find!);
b) the "cartoon" style graphics will help, nice and bold and bright; and
c) captions appear while hovering over an object.
Of course, my experience in "caption" HOGs is that there are many captioned items which do nothing, but that's fine. I'd MUCH rather have captions then spend half an hour inching my mouse over a location to find something; and finally have the humiliation of watching a walkthrough to get any further in the game. :(
So this looks like a fun one, thanks to ToomkyGames and BFG!
Hope everyone is staying indoors and is safe and well!
