Introduction:

ADM2 (When worlds collide) is a third person hack and slash 2.5D indie RPG and the sequel to the first game ADM Angels Demons and Men that was a limited giveaway three time last year i.e. 21st August 2018, 5th September 2018and 10th November 2018. In the sequel the story continues with the darkness continuing to spread through the land. You are introduced to various characters both old (from the first game) and new some of which you will play with over the course of the game. These are:

1) ... Alexander(the royal guard) continues his journey back to the kingdom through the demon maze
2) ... Kaia(the angel) continues the search for her mentor and old friend
3) ... Audra(the mage) crosses into hell through a portal to free mia.
4) ... Cade (the demon king) continues to match his army through the kingdom and slaying everything in his way
5) ... Lance(the captain of knights) assembles the last men in the kingdom for one last stand against Cade

Installation:

The installation is via the Steam client. If you are not familiar with activating a Steam game, go to the top menu and select Games. From the drop-down menu select 'Activate a Product on Steam'. The game will then be available to install on any computer you install the Steam client on and sign in using your Steam account. If you're new to Steam, you can download the Steam client HERE and create a Steam account HERE. Once the key has been added to your account it will be permanently tied to that account and cannot be changed.

If you've previously won a Steam key for any limited giveaway and still not received your key, please contact the giveaway team via the contact form HERE. Assuming you win a Steam key for ADM 2(WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE), once you've found it (should be sent to the email you used to enter the giveaway - it must be the email you first used to sign into the game giveaway site. If you’ve used a throwaway email there may be problems getting a key, because the key may be sent to that email. If you have any problems, use the contact form. You must activate the game via your Steam client. Once activated it will be permanently tied to your Steam profile and you'll be able to install the game at anytime, anywhere on any computer, so long as you can validate who you are (usually via emails etc.). If you don't have a Steam account, you will first have to download and install the Steam client HERE

Then create a Steam profile/account. Once that has been completed you can input the Steam code that you've received (after completing the form filling) via the game button along the top of the Steam client, (located between friends and Help). From the drop-down menu select 'Activate a product on Steam'. This opens a product activation window. Just follow the prompts to complete activation. Once the Steam code has been accepted, the game will be associated with your Steam account and can be installed any time you wish

The Game:

The Game:

You start the game playing Alexander, who after talking to a Mage is sent on a quest to find three mushrooms and guide another character called Axus to a safe area. Once this has been accomplished Alex is again meets up with the Mage and is told before he can escape the maze he must destroy the boss demon that inhabits this area. On his quest to find this boss he meets up with smaller demons who he has to destroy. The boss casts magical spells that can kill Alex, so he must avoid the blast from these spells. There are also fire pits that spew flames intermittently and raging fires that burn all the time. If Alex is caught by these fires he will lose health and die. If he dies you have to start from the beginning of the stage again There are save points which are when you meet up with the Mage. Also you will see what look like water wells. These are transporters that take you to other parts of the level, you can move back and forth between these if you wish.

Once you've killed the boss (using the J key to use your sword) you have to navigate through the remainder of the maze to escape. when you leave the maze you are transported to the spirit library where a character you will have first met in the first game called Audra takes over. She is given the quest to find the book of spells.

Levels are full of traps both natural, magical and intermittent; plus you'll encounter various demons and other animals such as wolves and ends with a boss demon to destroy before you can progress further. To move you can use either the WASD or arrow keys. The arrow keys are also used to move around your inventory and to select an item use the M key. To move faster use the I key, the space key will pause the game, or if you are in a menu use the arrow keys to select from the menu then use the space bar to activate that request or use that item. The only time you can use the mouse pointer is when the language screen appears. There are nine language options which you can see in one of the images above.

Conclusion:

I enjoyed playing the the sequel, in fact much more than the original, which i had major problems progressing out of the first level. After an initial slow start I was able to survive the first level and progress to the next. This second version seems a little easier than the first game, which for me is a big positive. There were some negatives though. The key bindings are fixed so you cannot change them to suit your own preferences, also they are not very intuitive. The initial tutorial is very basic and there is no access to any help. So the items you pick up are not readily obvious. for example in the first level I was able to collect four different objects, one was meat, which when selected gave back some health that had been lost, However, I couldn't find how to select the other items despite the tutorial saying use the arrow keys to navigate the inventory. They didn't work? Also, there was no explanation for the several swords that I picked up, I had no idea what the potions were and what was I to use the man traps I'd picked up for? In the top right of the screen are five boxes that look like those you see in RPG games that give you fast access to consumables, but again there is no explanation what these are and nothing was added to them over the course of two levels. In the second level the inventory is increased to eight items, again with items such as a bat like animal, a blue globe, books and another indescribable item that looked like an electrified letter S.
