A giant sea serpent lashes at the screen. A majestic Pharaoh dances like an Egyptian. A helicopter spins and whirls in three-dimensional space. The detail on the chopper is so extreme, you can see through its window and into its cockpit. Like a mad scientist’s fusion of Magic Ball and Hyperballoid, Timebreaker features jaw-dropping 3D animated levels. Your mission: Smash them into smithereens with your ball and paddle.
In addition to eye-popping visuals, Timebreaker offers a collection of unique bonuses, including a gravity power-up that gives you control of where the ball goes and a helper droid who’s as cute as he is useful. What’s more, the game is tailored for players of all skill levels; whether you’re a novice or an expert, Timebreaker will entertain and challenge you.

Merry Christmas everyone. Todays review is kust a port from my original comment from the first time this was given away. It’s short and sweet.
The whole family loved this game when it was first released. If you play it on easy, the game is rather sedate, but there are other settings that make this a very attractive game. Apart from the themes, the great graphics and animated bricks there’s a lovely soundtrack that cycles through several pleasant tunes, that really put you in the mood to play the game. A beautiful 3D arkanoid clone with lots of playability; (In my opinion of course). I’d recommend anyone to download it and at least try it as it’s free. It was one of the top selling Arkanoids at Alawar for several months when it was first released. I just wish they had a bigger stock as apart from a few, I’ve got them all.
The game has three player settings and I can guarantee that unless you are an expert at arkanoid, you’ll find the hard setting very challenging. You get bonus’ for the number of balls you have left, whether you’ve had a perfect level, the number of ball bounces before having to hit the bat again as well as other bonuses. There’s 26 power ups including a gravity ball, flame thrower, rockets and the other usual bonus’s. There’s 150 levels so it’ll keep you occupied for a while. Good one GoTD and Alawar.
Alawar have just released Hyperballoid 2, which I beta tested and can highly recommend it, especially if you are an arkanoid freak like myself.. It’s far better than the original. It comes with 200 levels and a fantastic levels editor. I bought it as soon as it was released earlier today. Until tomorrow (as with all Alawar games) you can get 30% of the full price.
I’d better go as were off to visit in an hour or so.
Have a beautiful day folks.
Anyone having problems with the game I recommended yesterday, the freeware game called squarez, I forgot to mention about the lack of an installer :opps: I reposted details later in the day if your interested.

Comment by Lennartt — December 25th, 2007 at 4:28 amis it me, or can game-designers only make bad-arkanoid clones..?
sorry, i’ve seen so much of them lately, I am not going to try any other.
game-developers seriously need some fresh ideas, or at least more action games
This is definitely a keeper, thanks GGOTD. Can’t understand the ‘thumbs down’.
Nice physcadelic graphics, music okay, and a little bit different to the norm with the animated bricks. A couple of funny spellings, a quirky options changer (multi clicks to change resolution!) but it’s good.
Works on Vista.
