This is great.I’m downloading it now.It is quit a big file so it will take a while to download.But I think it will be well worth the wait.

why not wait until "after" and then comment. That it is quit[sic.] a big file is already known. That it will take some time for you personally to download is ...well, does that information really benefit anyone?

Doesn't work anymore! Awesome. Here's an idea. If you want to give the damn game give us a key that we can use to reinstall it when it fucks up that we don't need to beg for each time it dies. Not only does that go for games but the applications also. Yes, I'm pissed off.

@115 - I think you are confusing Memory with Hard Drive space.

I down loaded this one for about 6 times in about 6 or 7 hours and it just would not let me install it...no matter what i did. So at 3 a.m. i gave up and went to bed.

I would have like to have this one to try it out but it just would not work for me. I have Windows XP and a DSL line, and have loaded other games from here that worked just fine.

It took 1 hour 54 minutes to download, I have cable!! Then when I tried to install it, it never got past the key wrapper thing! It said something about memory, but I have over 50 gigs of free memory!! What could have happened???

I had no trouble downloading the site was a bit slow. But the activation kept timing out. Looks and sound like a good game. Too bad I can't activate it.

Damn... missed it again... :-(

Installed the game on a P4 2.6 Ghz 1(one) mb of ram 64mb video card machine works fine. You have to put your own short cut on the desk top, but still runs ok. For free it's a good game. I wouldn't buy it.
Graphics good, game play good but kinda slow. Kind of old school, but hey what ya gonna get for free.

I almost let the nay-sayers convince me not to install this game - what a mistake that would have been.

Very good 3D graphics, nice sound effects and mood music, and good gameplay.

I'll buy this one if I have to reinstall Windows prior to completing it.

I was not able to get the game to operate correctly, for some reason my steering controls did not function correctly and the tank kept going in circles or would just go where it felt and I had no control. It would eventually freeze up completely. What I saw of it I liked very much and wish I could have made it work.

@Fibs #91, yes you need a 64 bit O/S as well as a 64 bit processor to run the 64 bit version of the game.

Nice 3d subjective game, a bit huge but I guess it's normal for a 3d with good graphic, self-installing system a bit primitive (I had to manually add icons on desktop and start menu), but overall a good game.

This post will probably clear moderation too late to help anyone this time, but for future reference:

Corrupted download: If you're not using a download manager, try one. If you're using a download manager, try it without the manager, or try a different one. Multiple download connections for a single download are nearly always a very bad idea; only allow one connection per file being downloaded (if you're using a download manager, which I only recommend for dial-up users).

Appears to hang during setup/activation: Your anti-virus software is scanning very large files. Some anti-virus software is very slow, especially on compressed files.

Trashes your disk: For this download, you should have more than two gigabytes of free disk space before downloading (to allow for download, extraction, temp files, and installation copies). Actually, you should have a lot more. Windows XP needs several gigabytes of free space at all times, or you're likely to have problems.

Same problem as #96. Just finished downloading it about 10 minutes ago. Tried installing it and it says that the install period is over to go check GGotD for new titles. Ugh.

Activation was a pain this time, but never mind. The game itself locked my system while starting (black screen with mouse pointer), lucky me that I have an external LCD with a task manager application on it.
Safe mode worked then, but the game is a disappointment. Most of the enemies shoot at me before I see them, because of the tiny view range. And I do not get an indication from which direction the hit came. Very frustrating. Aiming with the MG is a joke. Deleted.

To #85: I had the same problem, activation took an unusually long time. I recommend trying it again once mmore before the activation time runs out, letting the activation take as long as it needs while you do something else away from the computer (might help if you shut down all unnecessary programs to help CPU along).

I downloaded and activated but the game never loaded on the computer. I extracted the files but that is as far as it goes. What to do next?

One of the better games from here, but I still think Turtle Odessey as a series is still better gameplay wise, but this one offers a quality game. Graphics are good. I haven't played much, the tanks are slow, and it just "copies" the game to your root drive, not really installing it, so I guess to delete just delete it from your HDD. From what I've played so far, this is one of the quality games from here. Thanks! :D

I couldn't get it installed on a 1GB flash drive with 900MB free. It appeared to extract to the hard drive. Last time I had 48k internet access.

Downloaded this game with 6 hours left to download and install and the installer tells me that the time to install has expired! WTF? So I download again....Now I have 4 hours left and the installer tells me, again, that the time has expired!! I've tried both the main download link and the mirror provided. I will try one last time and then I'm quiting. Since I followed the direction, several times already, they should just send me the license and get it over with!! Else, I'll just have someone find it for me through other less ideal means. Fix your program! What time zone are your servers in anyways?

GREAT GAME OTHER THAN I CANNOT PLAY IT FOR LONGER THAN 10 MINUTES WITHOUT IT CRASHING!

First disappointment from GAOTD. I let the download run while I was at work Came home to install it. When I went to extract and run the software. It locked my system up. I had to do a hard reboot. When I did the drive I saved the software drive now shows as a non system drive. I might have just lost a hard drive with three logical drives on it.

I tried to download to another system Tonight. The download went ok, I then went extract the files and things are running real slow.

My first let down from you guys

System 2.6 gig AMD, 2 gigs ram, Nvidia 800 gt with 320 megs ram overclocked, so no problems with system requirements.

Hi.The game was great.But it says that it was optimized for amd64.I can run the game clicking on tank WWII,but there is another icon on my system taht reads 'tank WWII 64bit'.When I try to open this a message pops up sayting "tank WWII 64bit is an invalid Win32 application".I have amd 64bitx2 4400+ wiyh 2GB ram,i run winxp pro sp2.Please tell me do I need a 64bit o/s to utilize the 64bit optimised performance?

returning, and bound to thanks GOTD,great game. works fine with vista. activation will give you no problem if you have no other program running background while activating.. self extacting file. you can install it on other non system partition too. briliant graphics.. game can be saved but saving is done session /player wise.. thanks again . THIS IS TAPASH FROM INDIA.... PLEASE allow the dial up user to take the cream out of it by giving a seperate activation or streatch the activation time .

this game will not set up on my 2.6GHz Dell system 94meg video card, 512 ram, just as my last post stated, setup hangs, killing all the systems resources, tried a 2nd time to set it up does the same thing, have to hold the shut down button to shut down the computer

downloaded this game this morning I got home late this evening to set it up, IT IS NOT DOING ANYTHING, TOTAL HANG, IT IS STUCK ON THE ACTIVATION, IT HAS BEEN 10 MINUTES NOW AND IT IS STILL STUCK!!! Downloaded and installed fine.

I didn't like having to go fishing for the executable icon for the game but that's no biggy.

The game play is a little slow....

This game makes the Sherman a slug sitting duck.

but the game is very nicely programmed.

I like it very much except for the sherman tank being so speed limited.

For dial-up users: Download and use Free Download Manager for these big ones (just Google it to find at many places). It is a freeware download manager that fully supports resumes, and does an excellent job.

Since when is file size an indicator of how good a game is? Besides, match-3s aren't the only genre that can be downloaded on a 56 kbs connection.

Same issue with me. Took hours to download and then said that the license was expired and there are still hours left before it should. Oh well.

Well new dish on the roof. Paid for 1 meg connection.Started out great 15 minutes , then 45 ,then 1hour 10 minutes,then 2 hours,Its now up to 4 hours . Hughes net you suck! WOW do they ever cut back on the speed on a large download.

I'm having troubles with license... It says that activation period is expired... and there are still more than 9 hours to activate it...

Unfortunately, like 64 the game tends to lock up rather quick on my computer. Since people say it takes an hour to play each map I suppose the instability is not common though, so I'm withholding my thumbs down.

It looks very promising so I may try upgrading my video drivers at some point or something like that to see if it works better then.

Let alone how long will it take to download..
It take almost forever to activate!

At first I thought that this game is good. But there is no option to save game, and when you die you have to start mission from the beginning. One mission takes about one hour, so it's waste of time if you die just before end.
