I have exactly the same problem like Invisible on my Windows 64 Pro and Windows hasn't found the solution yet. No problem with the installation occurred. The program just won't start. If the resolution was not compatible there would be an appropriate message. It happened to me not so long ago with some other game.

Hi Stephen,
Interesting game, but I could use a little more tutorial, or least somewhere obvious to review the various ways that the different bombs are created. Maybe if I keep playing, I'll get a better hang of it.

Deceptively easy on the early levels, but if you stick with it a bit, starts requiring much more planning and strategy to beat it, and ceases to be "a kid's game". Thanks for the fun....and frustration! :-)

I downloaded the game on Windows 7. No problems at all. I enjoy match 3 games because they are fun and relaxing. Thank you for the wonderful game.

I have to agree with Emperor. As you get further into the game it becomes much more challenging. Just not for the younger set. This one is a keeper.

I found this to be a typical 8Floor game. Fun for the first few levels but then if you want to get 3 stars, the goals are ridiculously hard to achieve & the store items are way too expensive. I managed to get 58 of 60 stars in "Forest Glade" & 5 out of 9 stars in "King's Hall".
My suggestions are:
1. Make a relaxed and/or untimed version & ease up on the number of gems, patterns and/or power-ups needed to get 3 stars.
Example: level 2-3 goals are 80 sapphires & 25 4-gem straight lines to get 3 stars in 48 moves (that is with 4 upgrades to the 1st power-up) which means a maximum of 23 moves to get 80 sapphires. From what I can see in the game play, that is next to impossible because the sapphires are very limited in that level.
2. Make the items in the store cheaper or give better upgrades when purchased. In order to get the last upgrade for the 1st power-up, I would need to complete 14 additonal levels with 3 stars (420 purple gems needed). That would mean for me that I would have to get 3 stars on more than 2/3 of "King's Hall". To add insult to injury, it would only give me 2 more moves. Ridiculous!
Sorry but this game gets dumped along with all the other 8Floor games I have tried. For those who like the game, have fun! But for me a game that is impossible for me to complete the goals is not something I want cluttering my PC.

Downloaded and installed as usual without a problem on my Win 8.1.
Tried to play and wasn't able to swap stones until I got it - I have to create "queues" - cute game to get distracted after work or before going to bed ;-)
I guess I will play it through once and that's it but that's more than enough for me.
Thank you very much!

Usually not able to try the games at download time. It strikes me from reading the reviews at Big Fish and here that this game be more chess like. Since you have a move timer and not a clock timer, it may be encouraging you to think ahead. In other words, sometimes you may have to spend moves getting rid of gems to get the gems you want to fall into the patterns you want. That would explain why they let you advance without achieving all the goals. A: because they realize that sometimes the randomization simply will work against you. After all, in most all match 3s, some of what your looking for is off screen, with no way to predict what's likely to fall into place that isn't already in front of you, and B: so you can keep repeating and try and perfect your ability to plot ahead, at least, again, from what you can see. You could even make some per centage guesses. For example, with 2 colors, it's a 50/50 chance that the color you want will drop from "the great beyond" above the screen into the pattern you're trying to create. Any feedback from folks here on these thoughts will be appreciated I think by most everyone. I will try this later today.

This is a really fun little game. There is some strategy with choosing the right shapes and there are some levels that are all about timing rather than just collecting a bunch of gems.
This is one of those entertaining and simple games that give me a break reality for a few minutes. Colors are great and the size of everything is super for anyone, even those who may be somewhat visually challenged as there are shapes and colors and they are all large on the screen.
Thanks GOTD and White Rabbit.

Heya Wabbit,
Trixs maybe for kids but if you get into further levels of this game..it isn't just for kids. Up to level 10 and completing the different tasks is fun and can be challenging because you only have some many turns to complete those tasks.
Bright and fun game...Keeper for me for a time waster.
@Softa Larry: you need Internet Explorer to activate the game. Once it's activated it may play on Linux..I really don't know.
Thanks to GGOTD and Immanitas Entertainment for the entertaining game. Good review Wabbit...Hugs to you and the family.

If you use a dual-boot pc, install the game with windows into your games directory. When you reboot to Linux, open your games directory and it will probably run under Linux / Wine. It always works for me. Games have run much faster under wine than windows for me, although I have a now sluggish vista installation. Linux isn't hampered by registry, backdoors, antivirus and other processes.

Reading over your great, detailed descriptions of gameplay, I can see I would not be interested in this. I enjoy regular match 3s, but I do not think I would like this.
Thanks for offering a variety of games, different strokes for different folks, and a big thank you for the great descriptions that keep me from wasting time on something I would not have enjoyed.
I don't believe you should rate games that you do not play, or that you are not interested in to begin with, so I will skip the thumb rating, but just wanted to say thanks and keep the games coming.

I sent my prior comment about it being a challenge. That was just after I had finished the first 20 levels at 3 stars, and then moving on to the next region.
So far - it looks next to impossible. Getting 80 emeralds and 24 lines in 40some moves?
I'm sure I'll need to wait until I can buy more power-ups - but the needed currency seems to come slowly.
Save | Cancel
I'll add my echo to some of the other voices: Play for awhile, get past the simpler levels. Then, even tho the game says "you win" - don't count it as a win until you beat it with three stars.
If you're interested in a fast-moving lots of noise connect-3 - then this isn't it. There are a bunch of those.
If you want one that makes you think and plan your moves - this is a good choice.
Only comment - there's not much help - it takes a bit of experimentation to figure out what's going on. Other than that - good stuff.

Ok Windows 8.1.3 x64 Pro. Basic options, full & smaller screen sizes, sliders for music/sound. While not too annoying the music can be offed, does appear bit lower once into game than while in settings.
Game itself is bright & clear. Just did the 1 click = 3 stars first level to check it out. Imagine it gets deeper later. Do like the clarity of it all, not always case with these.
You create desktop icon (I always use Send To:). Fast load, remembers where you left off. Exit for me was to just totally exit game once finished a level. For genre 8/10. Thanks GOTD.

(you can delete all that :) I could only find one of those mentioned temp files which doesn't say much more) The Direct X is 11. Maybe that's the problem? I don't see anything else that could be causing it. I just tried downloading and installing it one more time, but the same thing happened. I don't think the security software is stopping it since it hasn't stopped any installations recently and the game seems to be installed. There are 7 files and 1 folder in the installed folder? That's what I have. My screen is 1024 × 768. Changing it doesn't make a difference. I'll just leave it installed for a while and maybe sometime it'll magically start working, otherwise, I'll just have to skip this one. Thanks, Whiterabbit.

Doesn't seem to work on Vista Home computer. "RoyalGems.exe has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem" against a big white screen comes up every time I try to run it. It hasn't found the solution yet. Gave it to someone else to try and it worked fine so must be either Vista, or my particular computer (which hasn't had trouble with most of the other games here previously).

I have played a few levels of this so far and to begin with I was not clear how I was to get the various power-ups to achieve the tasks. Thus I found myself in the position of finishing a level but without getting all 3 stars. However, having learned how to get the power-ups the game changed for me.
You can just aim to complete the level and see how many stars you get, or you make it your goal to achieve 3 stars on each level. If you aim for the 3 stars then you have to start looking for the necessary patterns to make the power-ups and this might mean sacrificing some of the gems you are looking for. So, if you aim for maximum stars, you will almost certainly need to buy the extra moves that are available and the game will be more of a challenge than some of the earlier comments suggest. I would not say that it is only for younger players. At least, not yet.

Royal Gems
Installation:The zip file once downloaded should be 55.3 MB size and when installed to the default path mentioned below is 53.1 MB in size. Installation is a breeze; the unzipped setup file installs the game to the following path:
C:\Games\RoyalGems_Game
Once installed you can delete the wrapped setup file (for those that are new to the giveaway project that's the orange colored file with a key symbol on the icon; you can also delete the Setup.gcd security file and the read me document.
There is no desktop icon created during installation so you will have to create your own via the above path or via which ever path you choose for yourself. If you also want a start menu shortcut you will have to go into Documents and Settings which is found in the root directory (C:\).
i.e. C:\Documents and Settings\name\Start Menu\Programs\ (XP) or C:\Users\(User-Name)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\ (Win 7 & 8 and Vista)
Where 'name' equals administrator, or whatever name you use for your account. Just create a new folder within the program folder and add a shortcut from the games executable file. (right click and select create shortcut then copy that to the folder you've just created - you can also use the same shortcut and copy it to the desktop or select send to desktop {create shortcut}).
There is no music folder inside the main game folder, so there's no way of changing the music directly. You can turn off the music via the options menu, then play your own music via a media player if you wish.
Some community members may have problems installing the game due to the Themida based security included with the download. Norton is one AV suite that seems to tag the file as suspicious and tends to delete the file, which will then throw up one of several error messages. If this problem does arise, there are two ways around it (or three if you decide not to install the game):
I’d try for the first option first. If you aren’t sure how to configure the antimalware suite, either read the programs help files or Google how to do it, then and only then as a last resort go for turning your security off temporarily; however, if you do choose that option, you do so at your own risk. (Just to allay any fears that you may get infected installing a game giveaway with no security turned on). The giveaway team have given away well over a thousand games since the inception of the game giveaway project back in Decenber 2006 and no game has ever been infected with malware. The giveaway team check all downloads throughly using several malware suites to ensure the files are clean.
Royal Gems should work on all iterations of Windows from Win XP onwards, though I've not personally tested it on XP or Vista.
I was able to complete level one with just one move:
and in the next level, only three moves to complete the level:
Introduction:
Reference: accessed HERE 9th May 2015
You can see several short reviews of the game over on Big Fish Games HERE (We got this from Immanitas Entertainment).
If you miss Royal Gems, you can still get it HERE 24/7 from MyPlayCity.
The Game:
Royal Gems initially appears to be a lovely, bright match-three game that will suck away all of your free time like so many other games have been able to do. While the terms “lovely” and “bright” certainly do apply to the final product, Royal Gems unfortunately offers a disappointing experience that feels more like a Facebook game than a PC download title.
Royal Gems comes with nothing in the way of storyline or characters. It’s simply you and a list of dozens of levels, each of which has three stars to earn as you play. Each level also comes with a series of tasks to complete, with some being easier than others. In each stage, matches are made by clicking and dragging to form lines across matching, touching symbols, but matches can only be made horizontally and vertically (that is, diagonal matches aren’t allowed). Adding to this simplistic setup is the inability to make your next match while the animation from the previous match is still active, so speed really isn’t available here.
While each stage may technically have different goals, they all still feel almost identical, since most simply ask you to activate power-ups by creating specific shapes with the gems you match. You may be required to make a power-up using a straight line of four gems, or a power using an L shape, as examples. Instead of being offered in a 1:1 ratio, you’ll instead need to create four of these same shaped matches before activating a single power-up on the board, so levels requiring the formation and activation of these power-ups in bulk can be incredibly difficult to complete.
While most levels aren’t timed, they do come with move counters, giving you only a varying amount of available moves to complete that specific level’s tasks. If you fail to complete one or more tasks before you run out of moves, you’ll still pass the level, and can even easily earn two of the three stars available in that stage, making me question what the purpose of these tasks is at all.
Royal Gems feels incredibly similar to Facebook games like Candy Crush Saga, as each level comes with different tasks, and you can replay them as many times as you see fit. Of course, there’s no energy system here that limits the length of your gameplay session, but Royal Gems does offer a boosts store where you can spend the purple gems you earn by completing levels. These boosts may increase the number of moves you have in each level, or increase the effect of power-ups (bombs, lightning bolts, etc.), but they quickly become too expensive to purchase without grinding through the same sorts of levels over and over again.
With the ability to earn stars and technically “win” stages even without completing each level’s tasks, the setup of Royal Gems is simply confusing. If there’s no real penalty for not completing tasks, why should we try to complete them in the first place? Just to have something to do? This leniency on the part of the game developer does offset the challenge to actually complete some tasks due to the random nature of the appearance of gems on the screen, but if the solution was to seemingly remove all ability to “lose,” perhaps another method should have been chosen.

Conclusion:
I’ve not played today’s game long enough to give a meaningful conclusion because I wasn’t able to get a copy in time to play before the game went live and will be busy for most of today, so don’t have time to write up a review after the game has gone live. When I do write the review myself, I like to have played the game at least for a couple of hours because anything less usually won't do the game justice, that said, after playing this game for 30 miutes once the game had gone live, I really wasn’t impressed. In the short time I did play the game I found the game play was very simplistic, with nothing that stood out that would make me want to continue. I was able to complete the first level in only one move and each of the next several levels I completed very quickly.. I have at least a hundred match three games, most of which are far more interesting than Royal Gems, for example the Treasures of Montezuma, Zuma Luxor and Bejewelled series, 4 Elements, Atlantis Sky Patrol and the Atlantis series of match three games to name just a few, and all of which have something special that keeps me going back to play those games over and over.
I do think todays game is ideal for young children, (playing with their parents perhaps). You could even use it as a fun way to teach basic maths skills such as shape recognition and counting, because each level asks you to destroy a specific number of tiles of various types, or create specific shapes such as a square.
Problems:
If you have any problems installing or getting Royal Gems to work please go HERE for help. I've posted most of the common problems and solutions in a FAQ thread, which you can find in the sticky section of the forums by following the above link.
If you are posting late in the day I would also suggest posting in the main giveaway forums, in the game discussion section because I cannot moderate 24hrs a day over the weekend. I've created a thread HERE for that purpose. If you've installed the game but it won’t work for some reason, it should still be registered, so someone may be able to help at another time. Unfortunately if your problem is actually installing it then once the giveaway period is over there’s nothing that can be done until the game is given away again (though that isn't guaranteed). Sometimes you can still register the game after the giveaway has ended so long as you managed to start the download before the giveaway ends. I've tested this and the grace period lasts for up to 1 hour.
It’s always worth checking out the free games sites because sometimes the games we get here are also available for free from them. MyPlayCity (MPC) has the most with over 1000 games to choose from. Other sites include Gametop and FreeGamePick. Royal Gems is available from MyPlayCity. (See link in the introduction section above). I've not checked the other free game sites.
If you do download any games from MyPlayCity, Gametop or the other free game sites 'do' watch out for toolbars etc. Make sure you un-check the check-boxes during installation, and, in the case of MyPlayCity, every time you boot the game up, (this may have changed now as these free game sites tend to change the format frequently. .. I've posted links to all of the common free game sites below in the games, games games section. :)http://steamcommunity.com/app/263200
For now I won't be recommending you download games from Jenkat Games. They have changed the way you get games from their site. Diane has posted information about this over in the game discussion forums. If I have time or remember, I'll link to it.

If that's not enough, check out the Game Discussion forums HERE for details of other games either free or on deals such as the Indie Game bundles (there's over 20 of them - If you purchased all of them you'd be paying around $80 for around a thousand dollars worth of games); or check out the four day sales at IndieGameStand. you'll find the indie bundles thread HERE. Most of the other bundles retail for around $5 give or take a few dollars (apart from the Daily Indie bundles that only cost $1.49 for six games), but you can pay as little as a dollar for some.
The free game from Origin has changed to Ultima 8 Gold Edition. It's been optimised for todays computers. Well worth getting, especially if you are into classic games. Check it out HERE.
