Giveaway of the Day - Bullet Candy

Bullet Candy
January 11, 2007

50 levels, 4 play modes, loads of enemies, even more bullets, power-ups, huge explosions, amazing graphical effects all combined with some seriously intense shooting action.

Death From Above!

Viewed from a top-down perspective, Bullet Candy allows for a true 360° shoot-em-up experience. With all of your enemies in view at all times it’s easy to see and, more importantly, shoot them into tiny little pieces.

Always In Control

Bullet Candy’s controls allow for great precision of movement and aiming. Using the mouse and keyboard to aim and shoot, Bullet Candy always keeps you in control of the on screen action.

Alternatively, use a dual analog control pad for a better, more natural control method.

Gameplay Features

Bullet Candy’s game mechanic is inspired by Williams classic Robotron, vertical shooters such as Treasure’s Ikaruga and Capcom’s Gigawing, and Jeff Minter’s awesome Llamatron and Tempest 2000.

Huge particle explosions, masses of enemy bullets, and beautiful feedback effects combined with power-ups, score multipliers, collectable friendly ships, laser upgrades and un-lockable bonus games all add up to make a great gameplay experience

Getting Big Scores

Collect the golden ships:

There are a couple of reasons to collect these guys, most obviously that if you collect enough (precisely one more than half the number on any stage) you get the laser shot upgrade. Also, you get 100 points multiplied by the number you have collected so far on that wave (i.e. if you have collected your tenth golden ship you get 1000pts) multiplied again by your current score multiplier (i.e. if you have collected your tenth golden ship and you have a score multiplier of 4 you will get 4000 points). Finally, you get a bonus at the end of each wave that takes the number of golden ships you have collected with your current life and multiplies that by 100 and again with you current multiplier.

  1. I just love eye candy games such as this; the colour and the sparks are so psychadelic. Almost like going on a Trans Inter-Patrol, like I used to do as a wreckless youth back when Lysergic wasn’t illegal lol. Love this game already and my boy will when he see’s it. Thank you for a great game giveaway. This is a fantastic day. I hope the storms over in the US arn’t to scary.

  2. I have to give this game a big fat 0. I extracted the files, ran setup, activated alright, created the Games folder but click on the game and nothing. A box pops up for a millisecond and then dissappears. My pc is completely up to par. I am a PC technician so I hope I would know. I am sorry to say I have to give something a bad rating but in truth, if it won’t run, that doesn’t say much for it.
