Classic Solitaire in a fantasy setting!

Dwarves are back, and now they are about to explore dozens of new game levels provided in Set 4!

This is not just another fairy tale. It’s a saga about the everlasting battle between good and evil, and you are the main character. Since earliest times the glorious clan of dwarves is standing guard over the subterranean world. And this work is hard and all-important indeed. Only the few know that all the worlds are connected to each other with secret passages. Most of these passages are underground, hidden from strangers’ eyes. A casual traveler enters a cave as a shelter from bad weather, but we know it hides a gate to another world. A gate from where unbidden visitors may come.

The dwarves are guarding the passage secret and keep peace in their world… And now the world shuddered. For the majority it is just a natural disaster. But we know: the world substance is torn, it’s time to take arms, go down and stop the invaders.

Your mission is to purge the dungeons from the evil and gather as much treasures as you can - it will take plenty of gold and diamonds to repair the seal on the Gate between the worlds.

The Warrior and the Wizard are the greatest heroes of their people. What do you prefer - slashing steel or will-power? Make your choice and start your journey.

Remember, the fate of many worlds depends on you…

I love the games you gice to us, GOTD!!! I'm just happy these games aren't the bloody, violent ones that most of the kids play these days!
These are fun and entertaining and the adults enjoy playing them as much as our kids do!!

Personally, I think those that complain all the time should have their email addys banned from being able to access the site. I don't mind an honest opinion, but the rudeness is totally uncalled for!!Guess there will always be the ungrateful sort that live to complain!

I enjoy the Brave Dwarves games, and I for one am grateful that you are offering them for free. I just roll my eyes when I see all the negative comments. What makes anyone think that it is their right to slam the site for offering certain games? Just keep coming back, and you will find something you like at some point in time. Be thankful that GOTD gives you the opportunity to keep checking and finding things that you like now and then.

Negative feedback about the game itself (if constructive) would be very useful to the game creators, but "oh no not again!", "can we please have some other game?", and other similar gems are hardly useful comments. They do serve to show how ungrateful, spoiled, and immature the people who make them are, so for me, from now on I will just consider the source and ignore them.

I certainly don't find things here that I like every day, but I would never expect to. If there isn't anything I'm interested in, I just go about life and pop back in for a minute the next day. When I do find things that I like, I download them and am happy to have received them.

GOTD, you try to cater to a variety of tastes and needs, and I think you do an excellent job. I very much appreciate the service you are providing here.

I was introduced to GGOTD a little while ago by a friend and I'm hooked. I've had some great free games. However, the Dwarf games don't seem to work on my computer. I can't jump and keep loosing a life. Also I can't shut it down. Can anyone help please. I love the graphics of these games.

I appreciate you offering the different levels of the dwarfs game. In fact I'd like to be able to get parts 1-9, since I already have 10, 11, & now 12. It's fun being a 'kid' again without all those stupid shoot em ups and space games! Also, is there any chance of getting the OLD Duke Nukem ones that were out prior to 3-D that would be compatible on winXP?? Used to love that one! And I agree with Ron, about us great-grandparents liking something that's fun, easy, and takes no thinking.. it's relaxing! As for those that aren't happy with the offerings.. you don't have to download them!

To use the cheat codes all you have to o is type the code while you are actually playing the level. The cheat will automatically work. I'd repeat thenm now, but i'm actually really busy today. So just check back over the past few Brave Dwarves games in the coments section. You should easily see my comments because they are 'usually' at least several lines long or more, lol.

Hope this helps comment #33 Painterly

Not everybody likes the slash-slash kill games with lots of blood and gore. If this is the only thing that appeals to you, join the army and volunteer for every scouting mission available.
Some of us great-grandparents enjoy games that require a little thinking and are appropriate for all family members.

I like the "Meh" comment.

I think the reason why is it hard to not be at least respectfully critical is the fact that games of similar genres/types are coming very close together. Obviously many tetris, pacman, and arkanoid clones are out there and that is ok. Dwarf expansions are ok. But two tetris clones in a row, two pacman's, dwarf expansions within a week...when you aren't in to those things then it is hard to not look at the screen and say, "Come on". I'm not the one who puts the time into this site - so I am saying this with much gratitude - I love this site. If it were possible to put some of the similar games types/expansions a little farther apart then they may get less bad feedback. Just the same...this site is great. Thanks.

Does anyone know how to use the cheat codes. I am not averse to using them when needed. In the post it told how to save the game by using saveme to open a scroll password. How do you use the password to go back to that place? Thanks for the help and a fun game.

Any company with any sense whatsoever, whether it be GOTD or the software maker would want to hear all comments, negative and otherwise, at least I would think so. That way they'll know how to please their buyers, thus increase profits.

I just don't see a problem with everybody speaking their mind and can't understand why anyone else would. But that's just me.

It is frustrating to me to read the comments of people who just complain because the games or software given away here and at GOTD are not what they personally want. When I check the thumbs up and the thumbs down before I read the comments, I would like those to accurately reflect the quality of the software offered, not be weighted negatively because a person doesn't like what is offered. That is not fair to those of us who are interested in the software. If a person doesn't like the software offered, and/or has suggestions for different software to be offered, there are forums available. Please, for the sake of those of us who are interested in today's game, take the negative comments to the forums and leave this comment section to those of us trying out the software. That is only fair.

GGOTD and GameOver Games, thank you for the Brave Dwarves game and now these expansion packs. I have enjoyed them and look forward to any additional offerings in this series you might be generous enough to supply to me.

#20... I don't know what the problem might be, but if you ask in the forums maybe someone will help you out. I have seen problems listed here in the comment section before go unanswered. FWIW, I don't believe it was with the Dwarves game but one of the games I downloaded I got an error code, which several people were reporting. I updated my video drivers and that fixed the problem. So having the latest drivers installed is a plus generally speaking. But I don't know if it would help with your specific problem or not. Good luck!

GGOTD and GOG, Thank you for the Bonus expansion packs in the Dwarves series. This is challenging adult play-time! The software downloads and activates without a problem. The graphics and music is professionally rendered and the story is well thought-out. Good job.

I have dl several games but certainly not all of the freebies. I read the comments and get pretty disgusted sometimes. Those of you who don't find what you are looking for - why do you bother to come to this website?? Leave the freebies for those of us who enjoy them. Go pay for what you want.

I haven't had any problems so far but I back up my hard drive to an external drive once a week. If I decide I do not want what I have downloaded from here, I uninstall it before backup.

My 9 year old loves the Brave Dwarves games, but I don't understand how these expansion packs work. Does this mean whenever he opens any of the Brave Dwarves Games to play that all the extensions have been incorporated into the game making the game itself larger or does each set such as 10, 11, 13 and 4 expansion sets stay isolated within their own game? Is it that the higher the number the more advanced the game? I am really confused. Can someone clarify for me? Thank you very much!

I just started playing Dwarves 11 the other day and for me it's pretty
challenging lol. Of course, it would probably be easy if I were 8! I think it's a good time killer and I appreciate the expansion packs.

It's almost finals and I'm on the computer...........not doing school work but downloading stuff a student like me needs. The games that I've downloaded have become the break I need to release stress......although some of them induce stress; this I don't mind. My computer has the highest security tools and thus far, I have not been alerted of any security breach or intrusion.

This new game when compared to expansion pack #11 has some surprizing features. It forces you to think of ways to stay alive. Smooth movements from the dwarves make it easy to get around. Graphics are soothing on the eyes and music is relaxing.

Just appreciate the fact that there are people out there (GGOTD) who choose this way to introduce new games and other stuff.

No problems here on Acer Incorporated CPU
AMD Sempron Processor 3200+
1.00 GHz, 1.43 GB of RAM
OS Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 2

I know I'll NEVER get to the end . . . but a girl can dream, eh?

I think sending expansion packs is very generous. When a game is purchased, expansion packs must be purchased separately I believe. Because the games here are free for a one time download and do not come with tech support or upgrades, giving the expansion packs as stand alone games is a real bonus. GameOver Games and GGotD, thanks for your willingness to trade games for advertising. The ticker is on my blog, for what it's worth - and I've recommended you to my nephews.

A nice addition to the Brave Dwarves:Back for Treasure series.

There are those of us that have particular tastes whereby we will buy every expansion pack available. I did it (almost) with the hyperballoid series, spending over $170 for several expansion packs, all of which have different styles of graphic, so make the game a pleasure to play. although I have forced myself not to buy the last 2 until the developers add some new power ups to the game.

As for this expansion. Definitely a keeper, because both of my children as well as several of their friends who visit on open house days love these games. I have them installed on three computers so that they can have fun (if it's raining) competing against each other, lol. There were no problems installing them.

If you want some basic cheat codes to get through some of the levels just visit the comments sections when Brave Dwarves were given away previously and check for my posts; the codes work in all the 'Back for Treasure' series, although I don't use them myself, it may be worth checking to see if they work in the Brave Dwarves 2 game if you are not averse to using cheat codes. I've included several cheat codes to give you extra lives or to move on to the next level etc.

Thank you again GameOverGames and the GGAotD for another magic download. :)

Yippee! Yippee! I love these games! While other people are saying, "Oh no! Not again,", I'm saying, "Oh no - when am I ever going to find the time to play all of these" :-)

#14 - these aren't different versions of the program - these are "expansion packs". So they're all different - one isn't more advanced than the other.

The kids love these games. I am hoping that eventually we will get the whole series of sets through here! Apparently *some people* haven't bothered to notice that it is actually a different expansion set on the same series of games, so I want to give credit to GGoTD for their work in getting us these. For those of us who do like the game series; todays, as the others, D/L and installed quickly and easily, activated with no problem, and gameplay was about the same level as usual. There were no game-stalling or computer crashing errors to report. The graphics and music are a bit dated, but cute for the kids. If you didn't like the others, take a pass today, and come back tomorrow. I give the game an 8 out of 10.

WHY.

It's free, I get that. But just because it's free doesn't mean you guys can't put a little bit of effort into finding a game or two that isn't EXACTLY like the other ones you have posted.

Pac-Man knockoffs, Arkanoid clones, and ..THIS filth? No wonder you're giving them away for free. It'd be like trying to make someone pay for a kick in the teeth.

Seriously, come on.
