I will say it again, there is nothing wrong with the activation process of this game. If you can't figure out how to activate it, then you clearly cannot read. The negative comments about this game are simply untrue.

If anybody reads this far and has problems with registration, why not google for gametop dungeon rider . Enjoy.

to REGISTER is to BUY, folks: check their website...."Benefits of Registering" et al. END OF DEBATE ON REGISTER!! LOL have to give this a thumbs up...even though am going to have to uninstall: full version (with just FIVE castles) is not worth the $20; half that amount, and i'd take it in a minute. Good mindless/brainless fun for the whole family + minimum number of keys needed to move the sombrero man around = great if you have 2 or more children at home. i will play the ONE castle "trial" (for those that can't bring themselves to calling it a "demo") a few more times before bidding it adios!
ps: i agree with a comment above....why a small trial like this on here, GAOTD - the place that USUALLY has FULL games for a certain period of time to decide if you want to purchase it at all....this was kind of a ripoff as even at DSL speed it took time to download...

well i've given up,the game installed fine and it says it's registered but as far as i can get, is the menu screen , i cant click on anything and the up and down arrows do nothing , it just keeps flashing play game and i have to Ctrl-Alt-Del to get it off my screen :(

I am also one who installed the game, after first reading the included instructions. It installed without difficulty and following the instructions as written it registered and I am now enjoying the game. No problems running it in WinXP and on a Dell Inspiron E1705. No problems for me with scanrates or resolutions. This one stays.

I'm having the same problem as #61. The game installed and registered fine. I can start the game, the music works, everything acts fine except I can't get it to play. Neither the mouse nor the keyboard select anything. Hitting the Esc key brings up another menu screen, which, again, does not work with either the mouse or the keyboard.

Hi all....this is for the dummy non-geeks. I activated by copying the cfg file to the c/program/azangara. When I then opened the game to play, after many tries, I figured out that I had not hit the "config" button on the activation box, to choose the screen resolution......and I kept getting the "unregistered" version. I hope there is someone out there who can benefit from this tidbit, as I am a bit stupid, but it just didn't occur to me to hit the config button, I just clicked on run....duh. This was a complicated activation, which I think was totally unnecessary.

Don't be put-off by the reported activation problems - the instructions are well written and when I followed them I had no problems. This is a cute, kid-friendly side scroller that is more than interesting enough to take me down memory lane to the days of Kommander Keen and the early Duke Nukems. The graphics are great and this registration scheme would make it reloadable at any later date. Thanks GGAOTD I think it's a gem.

Well, I downloaded and installed without any problems. Unfortunately no matter what resolution setting I set the game to, there was a nice black bar in the upper third of my 21" LCD. Uninstalled before playing. Oh Well...

Ok guys this is silly. I have tried to activate this program 4 times. I know a little about what I am doing. NO way will this thing activate. I love GAOD but this one isn't friendly. Going to pass on this one.

Wow, what a beautiful game! I saw this one a few days back and thought then that it was one I really wanted to try, so I was very excited today to see it offered. I had no problems D/L or activating.(I alway read the text file that comes with every GGAOTD offering, it will tell you if something is different for that particular setup).I like a windowed screen and this one has that option. I love the South American theme and the graphics are so well done. It is keyboard arrow/control key controlled (which I've finally mastered to a degree, with the Brave Dwarves games)I like playing this and I know my grandkids are going to absolutely love this game.The music is bright and is the proper pace, so it adds to the game instead of being annoying. Love the little character. I find him easy to control, he can go up and down ladders etc with ease. I haven't played the game very far as yet but what I have played, hasn't caused any problems. I'm so pleased to have the chance to play this really nice side-scroller, big thank you to AxySoft and to GGAOTD!

Donald comment #62; .......well spotted..... 'Dungeon Rider' is as you pointed out the same game as todays giveaway and is free all the time. It's not actually Freeware though, although it may appear to be.

If you don't like anything downloading with your games, this will not be for you though as whenever you close the game down you are taken to the gametops home page. This will happen with any of the games you download from gametop; however, there seems to be no other problems with it, such as pop ups and other malware. I've been downloading games from that site for several months and have got several really cool games from them.

Those who are having problems activating their version of this game should try the link that Donald posted (thanks man). And check out the wide variety of games they have on offer as well. The site has been given a face lift over the summer and looks much more presentable than previously.

Great game and what a large response i want to say ty axysoft as i didn't really care for the snake game and almost didn't get this one but sure happy i did and ty GGAOTD for all the great offers you are able to give us we do appreciate this site more then you will ever know:)

This is a really cute entertaining and challenging (at least to me) game. I had no trouble installing or getting it to work. Works great with keyboard. My only little gripe is that although it says it works with joystick, it did not work with my logitech game pad which works with any other game I have that needs a joystick.

I thought it was good, but buggy and of limited length and entertainment value, and not worth 60MB+ of space. If I remember correctly, there is a point in a later level where the game does not allow crucial passage on a ladder or staircase, at which point the game effectively ends. This defect might have been fixed for this version.

Downloading, installing and activating the game is fine. Starting the game works. Can't get any further than the game menu. Keyboard and joystick have no effect. Mouse moves the pointer but can't click on anything. Have to use task manager to kill the game. Bizzare.

comment 50 by Larry has the right stuff if you use windows explorer and go to c disc and look in program files you wwill find the program installed there just drag the activation icon into a blank spot any where inside the window for the files for the game and it will activate no problem and make sure you have the game you are activating is open , just seems the easiest way to do it. it worked for me and now I can give a comment on the game . the game is about like any mario brothers game except the three d is very good I must say it was good . and the playability was there you can move very well with the up and down keys and so on ,. about being worth 20 smackers , I don;t think so, at the top 14.99 and 9.99 would sell a bunch of them . and it is worth a free down load and activation hassle ha ha ha ha ha

in answer to #53 yes i finally got it working doing this ,many thanks, and in answer to #54 try a download manager like star downloader free version , this is what i have had to do for the last week or so , i think it is a uk problem with wikifortio, using star downloader will not make it quicker but it will keep going until you have the whole program , on other sites i have download speeds upto 210kbps but using wikifortio downloads average speed is about 7kbps and lower, hope this helps

Installation (Instalacion)

Unzip the package you`ve downloaded and run the program Setup.exe which is

Zip folder,then create a differant folder with setup,then drag avangara.cfg file to that folder and drop.That is quite simple.But was hard to figure that out.

It took me about 20 minutes to figure out why the activation was not working.But I finally figured it out.For some reason the file azangara.cfg would just vanish from the folder when you download it to the same zipped folder.I hope all that has tried and failed return and try this step.It`s a very beautiful game,exspecially for the little ones.Thanks Gamegiveawayoftheday.

Ok I figured out why this is harser for some people to activate.When you open the zip file and download to your computer make sure you do not put the setup file in the same folder as the zip,then just drag the file azangara.cfg to the game file and drop anywhere in a blank spot.

This little gem downloaded and installed nicely on my machine running Vista Home Edition. It offers a choice of full screen or windowed mode; so, I chose to run it in a window. I am not a hard core gamer -- I do not like those shoot 'em up games where you have to kill lots of people, creatures and beings in order to advance through the game -- so I am not sure my opinion would be all that relevant. I also don't like my games to be too hard -- if I have to work at something, I like to get paid for it. This one offers nice, pleasant diversion with colourfull graphics and plenty of time to puzzle your way through the various levels.

To those of you having trouble registering, try shutting the game down after copying the *.cfg file to the game directory and running the activation programme; and then open it again (while still online).

Alright! This obviously _is_ a remake of "Montezuma's Revenge". But it's really well done!
Compared to the original it seems to be much easier though (especially because you can't fall to your death), but then again the original game was less extensive than this one (I think) - so that's okay.

Would be nice if there'd be a sequel to this game sometime. :-)

Downloaded, installed and read readme file, followed the instructions given and game activated to full version and plays flawlessly. To those of you having so much trouble acivating this game. Just do exavtly what the readme file tells you to do. It's not rocket science. Love the game, well worth the download. Thank you GAOTD and Axysoft.

I had played three of the castles, the tutorial, training and the green castle in about 20 minutes before I wrote my small piece. I now have played through the blue one in 15 minutes or so. If you are the kind to care to explore the whole level to find all the secrets, it will probably last you longer though. Not very durable, but still fun. I might check that updates page a bit more closely when I'm done with the current levels.

For those that have a problem activating the game, I can only relate what I did. I extracted the installation files from the zip to a folder, then installed the game into that same folder. When running the game I saw that it was marked as unregistered, so I extracted the cfg file once more from the zip file into the same folder. If you have no idea where you installed it, I suggest you uninstall and do it again, taking a note of where you do so.

I find it quite odd for the developer to agree to giving away a game that has such an exploitable registration method though, and yet so confusing for non-computer literates. Just saying.

i love this site and the look of this game but with the woefully slow downloads from wikifortia and the problems with activating this game i am sorry to say i have to give up, i have tried everything in the "read me" file to the letter but everytime i have tried i am told it has registered from the activation link and then when i retry the game it still has unregistered in red writing across the top, as i have tried this about 6 or 7 times it is alas time to surrender and give in ............ shame really because it looked good.

"$1000 worth of Dreamcast kit". It's only worth what people think it's worth. Most people would give you £2 for your Dreamcast kit, while a few sentimentals will give you £3500-4000. But, I agree ... $20 is too much for these types of games (the Cheap Game Rack type). I can buy Dungeon Siege for $9.99 at Compusa. That was a good game, but it is on the Cheap Game Rack now. Are they saying that this game is better than Dungeon Siege? Of course, there will always be droves of fools parting with money over things like this.
