According to this page , the game that we get today is Zombie Strike .
The game game downloaded and installed without a problem under Windows XP .
The game does not work (not a valid Win32 app) , but that's an other matter .
My question is , why the shortcut created by the installation process , has the name
Zombie Strike 2 ?

The game installed properly, but when I try to run it I am getting "runtime error: 0: Cannot initialize Directx 11".

But my dxdiag says I have DirectX 12 on my system.

Any ideas on what I can do to make the game run?

Edit: It seems it's my graphics card (nVidia Geforce 210) that's too old. This graphics card is not compatible with anything above DirectX 10. That's why the game won't run even though I have DirectX 12 on my system.
