Thank you! Zamby is fun for all ages. I usually only 'keep' the
ones that my grandkids will like, too.
Kudos to you GGTOD and chantix!
I don't leave comments often, I think now tho, I only have 2
games still on my pc from you. I love them!
Thanks again.

After i extract the game. I click to install and it seems to go all right till it checks for giveaway availability. Then i get a fatal error. It says FATAL ERROR: KEY IS INVALID. Any help would be appreciated. This isn't the first time this has happened. It happens alot when i try to install. I have windows xp and i shut my virus scanner off. Thanks, Jen

i was going to put something about how violence is better than most tuesdays, but this game honestly looks FUN. that's right. FUN! finally, someone ripped off a game like lolo instead of something mindless like break-your-face-out

This simply sucks. I've downloaded it completely, stopped all my network shields and other programs, then clicked for the setup. It says "can't activate, change firewall", then again, "key is invalid".......I can see that I still have 4 hours left. What is wrong with this thing?? :(:(

Many thanks to GAOTD and the games developer Kristanix who are

recently!

Downloaded and installed smoothly on WinXP2. Game of logic, challenging and addictive for all members of the family....lol...everyone fighting to use the pc after this! Definitely a keeper!

been having a blast with this one, much more difficult as the levels progress, really exercising the old brain! played the children's version with my 3 1/2 year old niece and it held her interest for almost 30 minutes! thanks for another enjoyable game giveaway!

I loved this game when I downloaded it, but when I got to the medusa level, and even tried beyond, it keeps blowing out and making me choose between restarting level, undoing move or chosing a new level. I took it off and reloaded the game with same reults.

I had to try a couple of times for the activation but it was well worth the effort (I think there was a server problem this a.m.?)

This game reminds me of Chips and Bulldozer and I am starting with the Kids levels and already challenged.

WhiteRabbit aka Stephen, always love your reviews.

Thanks Kristanix Games and GGOTD for a wonderful freebie!

A big thank you to Kristanix Games and GAOTD for today's game offer. The dsl download/setup took under 6 minutes on my Windows XP system.
I almost didn't download this game, but after reading the great review from Stephen-WR and the others, I decided to give it a try!

I am not very good using the arrow keys, but you can use the mouse with some of the moves. The little-guy reminds me an old song, Purple-People Eater because he has one-eye and just needs a horn.

Anyway... Great to be offered a kid-friendly game that uses your brain to complete puzzles. I like the fact that the levels are not 'timed', secret-levels to explore, you can create your own levels and if needed, the solutions are given to each puzzle = will help with any frustrations, kids AND adults alike! Thank you.

Sounded interesting from the get-go but when several of you mentioned Chip's Challenge I was sold. I was devastated when my OP upgrade took Chip's Challenge away from me! I love that this one allows the mouse option for moving around. I've only played the first two levels (duh!) and will have to wait til I finish my TO DO list today before I play anymore. Maybe I'll get my house cleaned in record time today! When I offer myself 'rewards' for getting things done the mundane becomes a challenge! I guess, once a gamer, always a gamer in all aspects of life!

The server timed out so I did my chores and am back to play.

Thanks for a fun game!

This game downloaded and installed with no problems. I love it as I think it's a great game for both adults and children. It's a puzzle type game so it requires some thought and not just quick reactions. That is perfect for me. I wrote a comment in yesterday's giveaway and I addressed the upcoming games for this weekend. (look it up if you want). I was not too optimistic. I made a sad prediction about the games and I am so happy GGAOTD has proven me to be wrong. Kristanix Games looks to be a fine publisher. I look forward to seeing more of their games here. Thank you WR comment # 1. Your reviews always make it easier for most users to decide if they want to try a game. They are always most welcome to read. I seen a lot of comments talking about older dos games people enjoyed playing. It's possible to play these dos games on xp. You need to download a program called dosbox. I have not tried it yet but I read some user's comments that have tried it and most were favorable. I guess I am not brave enough to install and try it. Another comment that interests me is from nostro comment # 25. This person mentioned mostfun.com. I have been to their site but never tried their games. I always thought it was something that was too good to be true. There has to be some kind of catch to their offering. I would love to hear anyone tell about their experiences with this site. Thank you so much GGAOTD for this grat game. thank you Kristanix Games for the offering. I hope we see more of you here.

OK, so the graphics are a bit dated and the concept seems childish but, if you :!: actually download it :!: and play it for more than 5 or 6 levels you will see that it is a challenging little game that should be good for a few hours of brain straining entertainment!

Please do not trash a game you haven't even tried. It's better than it looks :!:

I loved Chips Challenge so I was looking forward to playing someting similar, but I can't get this one to run.

It seemed to install normally, but all I get is a little dark rectangle that locks my mouse inside it, so all I can do is hit "Esc" to get out of it. Any ideas? Please?

I purchased the Mac version of Zamby after its debut here on Giveaway. It is a delightful puzzle and logic game that grows more challenging with each level. Zamby is on a quest to collect crystals and has to overcome onery wizards, water hazards and other obstacles.

Some levels are particularly challenging as the foe moves exactly opposite Zamby (think: playing against a mirror image).

The minotaur presents unique and difficult obstacles. Chess players will enjoy matching wits with the Knight ... those of us who do not play chess tend to experience a gnashing of teeth and rise in blood pressure.

Even though the game has a separate section for 'kids,' I think many adults will be frustrated ... ahhh.. challenged at the higher levels.

If you like brain games, Kristanix has answered your plea for entertainment. I've yet to finish all Zamby's levels, but when I do I've made up my mind to try 'Theseus and the Minotaur.'

If you hear the sound of gnashing teeth in the distance, it will probably be me. Pay no mind .. I'm simply trying to beat another Kristanix game.

Fantastic! I love this kind of game! Thank you, thank you! As someone else said it is the same concept as the old Chips Challenge or Robox games. I had no problems with d/l or install. The only thing I don't like is that it didn't give the option to put a shortcut in the start menu so that has to be done manually, but other than that it's great. I even like the music which I just keep low in the background. Thanks GOTD guys....you're the BEST!

Oh, don't judge the game based on the first few levels, they are just introduction levels.

#28, just try downloading again.

tried the game. Downloaded fine. The only problems are that the file is quite big, took rather long to download, and the graphics are indeed in serious need of enhancement. Apart from that, all's well. The game is quite fun, addictive in some aspects. I definitely can reccomend this one to all, since it is free today.

Well yes it is "one to keep," so long as you never reformat your computer.

To the child who said "This looks boring, I am unhappy." If you went so far as to try it, your review might have some meaning.

How nice, this one puts a shortcut on the desktop for easy file location. For those with files below their folders in the User\"current user"\Documents(Vista)folder, I recommend customizing the Levels folder with the Zamby icon. Zamby is not at the end of my list; the "loose files" are last and end not in "Z". Cute, possibly enduring, certainly endearing. Thanks team GGOTD and Kristanix. Thanks Whiterabbit for the addon levels link.

Well, this doesn't look as good as Robox. My 7 year olds liked Robox but found it too challenging. This may work for them because it's more kid oriented.

Seems like most of the games lately are kid oriented. Me thinks that GGOTG has run out of quality games to offer, hence why it is now Game Giveaway of the Weekend.

For a good alternative I've been using mostfun.com which has much higher quality games and overall huge selection.

I enjoy a good logic puzzle from time to time. This is a good one... The controls are a bit laggy, but otherwise a fun, addictive logic puzzle game. If you don't like logic puzzles and a bit of analytical thinking, best to avoid this. A treat for those that do.

OK I'm hooked already. Reminds me of the old Chips game from way back when. No problem downloading - and yes the graphics are a blast from the past - but kids will love them and it's kinda refreshing to get away from the seriously high tech look.

Now - someone have any cheats anywhere?? I'm stuck already!

Great download guys. Thanks

Interesting game.

It helped me line up objects when I chose the 'grid' option.

I didn't get any sounds for the first run - but did after that.

Thanks for a great game!

Usually I don't like games that use the arrow keys; this is an exception. It is very old school and reminds me of the first Zelda games. It's nice to have something relatively nonviolent for the Memorial Day weekend, although I disagree with the developer's statement that the game is nonviolent. Wizards fry the little cyclops if they can. I won't recommend this for very young children, but it's fine for adults, teens, and older kids. Oddly, I don't mind the music either. Usually I turn it off, but this music was OK.

Hi rOlZ,
There is a way around there not being a fan site. Open up a free filefront account which will enable you to upload your created levels then post a link to the file in the forums. Someone could create a specific thread for this so that there's always a place to go to search out new levels. I'm sure there's thousands of community members who have downloaded this game and would be interested. I know my son will be really happy with this game because of the levels editor. He loves games that include an editor. All it takes is someone wih a little time and the enthusiasm to start the project up.

Stephen

It looks like an old tiny game of the eighties, but it is fun to play and intelligent.

One regret: there is a level editor, but no way to share your own levels with others. Kristanix should maintain a site or a forum to share the levels.

This is a good offering. Thanks GGAOTD. Even in the kids mode, the higher levels do require some thought to advance. Fun & instructive for the kids. The undo feature is a great feature to not overly discourage a young one from figuring out the puzzles.

I am seriously sick of children's games.
How about some "Leisure Suit Larry"? Or GGAOTD's most likely prospect "Zoot Suit Harry"? Or how about "Hugh Hefner's Playboy Mansion" game? Or at least the knockoff "Larry Flint's One Man Whacking Spree"?

I would even be happy with adult themed. Like a murder mystery, you know like one of the billion and one Law & Order/CSI:Miami/CSI:Bangladesh/ knockoffs.

Downloaded and installed on Vista Home Premium with no problems. The graphics aren't exactly high quality but the game itself requires thoughtful planning to get all the crystal lights and avoid being destroyed or captured in higher levels, even though it starts out quite easy. Navigation can be done with either keyboard or mouse.
