I am stuck at the fire pit , it says fire is too hot , have used all the items in inventory none will work when I try and put them in the fire , I have used all hints and still can`t figure it out , what do I do now , plz tell me what . lol

Downloaded fairly quickly and played a couple times yesterday. Now I'm getting error and it won't let me play...

Hi Jude, I apologise for the late reply. Was unavoidable as i was asleep for the last 12 hours. The error message indicates that the problem was playing an swf file which would point to your flash player. As someone else has pointed out previously, most giveaways come bundled with a flash player, but I don't think this one did. Make sure you have the latest version of Flash player installed. do watch out for the extras that they try to install during installation.(usually McAffee AV and tool bars (Ask).

I can't think of anything else that would fix the problem bar reinstallation.

If you still have the installation files you may be able to do that even tohugh the giveaway is over. They sometimes give a grace period so that those with very slow connections can still activate the game after the giveaway is over. The time is variable from an hour to a couple of hours. so, if you read this message shortly after the giveaway, do try to re install (If you've deleted the set up and .fgcd files you won't be able to re download them (check your recycle bin))

I'm glad the game is not timed, and I get easily bored when objects are "too" obvious. But there were things in this one (like the feather in the mosquito netting over the bed) that I couldn't see even with a Hint circle flashing around it. And I consistently had to move my head or tilt the monitor to search portions of the screen. I also prefer games with a bit of humor, which this one was lacking. The dialog was very dry and stilted.

Graphics are good. I turned off the music. Game play was smooth, if tedious. Windows 7.

Thank you for your feedback LK, yes, I'm lucky that I don't have to live with the remodelling of our new house. We had an extension built onto our present house about 10 years ago, we couldn't afford to move out and i remember how difficult it was, especially when we didn't have a kitchen to cook in and a hole in the bedroom wall. :) Good luck with your remodelling. It'll be worth it in the end. We've lived in my present house for over 20 years. It was only ever meant to have been a temporary move (we'd just finished our degrees and Teacher training), but life as it is, we're still here. When we were ready to move 10 years ago, the cost of new houses had rocketed to more than three times what we'd paid for this house and couldn't afford to re-morgage (the rates were just ridiculous). That's why we ended up adding an extension instead of moving. Thankfully I now have enough money to purchase a new house outright without having to sell my old one. :)

Hi Trudy, sorry for the late reply. Was indisposed. No, giveaways are always full versions. From what you've said, sounds like your I.E. was offline. (I'm assuming you use firefox as your internet browser). You need to make sure I.E. isn't set to offline otherwise you can't activate the game.

I have played quite a few hidden object games and find this one to be most difficult. There are many item hidden so that they become transparent in the background. It would be helpful to have a "twinkle" hint feature in the program to help you locate these objects. I sit staring at my screen for minutes seing nothing and it is very frustrating. Not the fun and relaxing experience I have come to expect from these story-based games.

downloaded with no problems, saved in my own Games folder, I don't mind if it doesn't have a desktop icon/shortcut.
There is one thing I'd like to comment on, for the developers, to try to make all of the hidden objects not quite so hidden. ;) Other than that, I've enjoyed playing it a lot. Thanks so much for the freebie!

Been playing Youda Legends since I downloaded it yesterday, it's hard work but am enjoying it. However I have got so stuck and cannot move on. I'm on a later round where there is a camp with a white tent and rope on the left side. Clicking on the rope says there is something heavy there and when I ask for a hint, the blue circle is over the tent, but there's nothing inside. I have tried using everything in my inventory either on the rope or the tent and have tried to get objects together. But nothing works. What am I missing. Help. Please

A nice game, finished it quickly but have to agree with Gina (#45) about the eye strain looking for objects. The brighen feature on the options menu helped some, but some of those little devils were very well hidden. Overall, I enjoyed it. Nice graphics, hard enough to make it interesting, but the objects could have been a tad more obvious to avoid the eye strain. Thanks again guys.

I am grateful to GOTD for the opportunity to try these games out. My rating for this one is 3 out of 10. Ick. The "hidden" part of the game is based mostly on eye strain and I don't appreciate that. There is a magnifier which I thought was a nice touch but when I used it, the resolution on the picture was not any better and some of the objects were never clear enough I would have gotten them without the hints.

I did enjoy the mini games. The variety was nice and for the most part they felt doable. There was some finicky placement issues that were annoying but not anything like the un-seeable objects.

The graphics were nice.

I probably would rate it 7 out of 10 if the hidden objects sections were removed.

Very late posting this but it has been a hectic day. Love the magifying glass and light adjustment. I would have killed for stuff like this in 2009 when I had cataracts! Lots of fun and the only suggestions are: allow clicking past the opening scenes when reopening the game. I was surprised when I clicked and ended up at the software website.

I almost forgot the game giveaway and I'm sure glad I didn't! Yeah for Youda games... It installed flawlessly on my Win7. I sent a shortcut to my desktop games folder as I find that easier.

@Fred-#36: You probably haven't been around for long to make that comment. There has been many games offered in other languages including french. I notice these things cause I'm also french although I must say, all my PC, games, etc., settings are in English-way less complicated. :-p

Anyway, just wanted to stop by to at least give my gratitude to GGOTD and Youda Games for this excellent offer. I've played a few levels and it's not as easy as it looks because some of the items to find are either very small or mixed with so many colorful items you can hardly see them. All in all, it's still a great game so many thanks.

This had to be the best HO game I have seen. Most objects are so well hidden it takes ages to find them, BUT the game does not time out like so many others, so if it takes an hour you can still continue. HOG's on the clock are just plain aggravating. The mini-games are the best, real mind-benders, becoming progressively harder as you move through the levels, but thankfully you can skip them and move on if they prove to be too difficult. I have been right through the game once and skipped a few mini-games, but plan to do it all over again, and properly complete it this time LOL. I rate this game as definately worth paying for. It's a keeper.

Looks good - sounds good - and it lets us use English English! That's a plus point, for starters.

I usually like Hidden Object games, but I find this one tedious. I'm pretty sure I've tried it before, but I gave it another shot, and then I uninstalled it again.

I also strongly resent being hijacked to Youda Games website when I click on the game shortcut. Tacky. Make better games and people will come to your site willingly.

Ahh yes, a very personal favorite HOG of mine. I must have played this game 10x since I bought it. The entire game from start to finish took me over a week to play. I was engaged in the story line and my love of the puzzle at the end (no spoiler alert here) made the entire journey worth it. It was easily downloadable, it didn't tax my system too much. The plot and the ease from one scene to another was first rate. I loved the mini puzzles between the scenes. If you pass this game up, you'll be sorry. I haven't regretted my purchase.

I agree that sometimes the objects are incredibly hidden - but I'm sure that makes it great for HOG fans. There were some levels I would never have finished if not for the hints.

I like that the mini-games don't have any instructions. Having to figure out what you're supposed to do adds to the enjoyment.

On my monitor, in the mini-game where you need to concoct potions: Some of the bottom squares seemed to be different colors than the beakers at the top. The worst was trying to make green: the button looked yellow - and the beaker already was green.

Why does the game ask if you're male or female? Does different stuff happen? I haven't noticed any gender related text yet...

I love Hidden Object games, but this one is aggravating. It's so hard to find the objects. Most are so small. Played about 10 minutes, and had to stop.

In response to Mardel53- Bandwidth is not free,as we get the software for free and the site is not covered-up with ads there's not a LOT of revenue to be made running this giveaway.If they paid for increased bandwidth and bigger servers we would probably be swamped with ads to pay for it.Personally I appreciate the fact that it's not as slow as dialup and the software is free.

not true NWG. MPC are a free games site that derives its revenuew from advertising and entising users to their site. all games installed can be insatalled without the home page changes or the toolbars. You just have to uncheck the boxes during installation. The change in home page only poccurs if you allow it to by not unchecking the boxes.

apart from that its still not a virus. All that's done is its changed your home page but only becasue you inadvertently gave it permission. All changes made by MPC are easily rectifiable. All games from MPC are totally safe to play. no viri, no other malware. :)

Installed fine on win8 64bit and win7 64bit. Terrible translation, example: carbon became starlet, not so easie to find when you search for a bird and it´s a piece of carbon. Many items is "invisible". Imho this game needs improvement.

Had to download several times, but I think the problem was on my end. Finally everything downloaded A-OK. I like HOGs--as reported, some of the items are hard to see even with the help. Thank you for the game and tips on how to play.

The "Options" menu lets you alter the brightness. I don't yet know if it's enough to be able to see the objects in the darkest scenes, but it might help.

I love that it has a magnifying glass! I don't have to put my nose up to the screen like in so many other hidden object games.

Ok Win 8 x64 Pro. Nice set options. Big magnify glass up top can help to examine some cleverly hidden pieces. Funny how something like a pickle you'd be searching for as small turns out to be large. Whiterabbit tips help. Played up to the dice rolling extra. Never did figure what I was doing (avoided the point cost hint), but finally eliminated a few at a time - matched similar looking images.

Downloaded and installed fine - playing is hard cause the items are very well hidden but I still like it.

Hi, lots of download, as it took 32 minutes to download, but it works O.K. Tip for darker parts in the game: select options, and enhance light with 2 clicks, a lot better then.

The time it takes to download whatever from wherever varies with the amount of server bandwidth, your bandwidth, & everything in between. Amazon is huge & I spent 2 hours downloading about a gig from them recently, & I've usually got pretty decent bandwidth [we can top 5 meg]. Regardless, one thing learned from the dial-up days, there's always something better you can do with your time than watching the progress bar. :) Today's game GOTD completed its download while I was reading everyone's posts -- I've no idea, nor care how long it took. :)

lol, I totally agree. I've found generally trhgat it depends on the time of day as well as tyhe server bandwidth. If I'm downloading games from Steam for example, the best time to do it is before America wakes up. anytime after late morning and the times reduce significantly.

Hi Topixar, make sure you are playing the game with admin priveledges. Right click on the games executable and select Run as Administrator.

It only took eight (8) ocho minutes to download this game! My visits to the bathroom sometime take longer than that. I remember a time when it would have taken half the day to download this game; if it didn't freeze my computer or throw up the dreaded blue screen of death, that is.

HOG's annoy me. There are a few I like (The Hidden World of Art, Murder in New York.) Most of them are just BLAH! So, many HOG's have really dumb stories. This one, well, the story sounds downright stupid. THE STORY MATTERS! If there is nothing to earn at the end, why bother?

I didn't think Amsterdam was in the jungle. Isn't Amsterdam in the Netherlands? Your pretty close to that place, aren't you, White Rabbit? Do you live in the rain forest jungles of England?

Actually, MyPlayCity has over 800 games (at my last count it is 885). This game is not there but it IS at Jenkat games (with about 340 free games). Jenkat also has Youda Camper, Youda Fair, Youda Fairy, and Youda Marina long with 2 other Youda HOGs - Youda Legend: The Curse of the Amsterdam Diamond and (just since last night) Youda Mystery: The Stanwyck Legacy.

Jenkat is a little screwy in that it install each of its games into 2 parts of Program Files (x86). If using a 32 bit form of windows, ignore the "(x86)". It puts a stub in Program Files (x86)\ and the rest of the game in Program Files (xi6)\Common Files\.

I merge them and then move to another area and then fix the shortcut and the uninstall registry entry.

I love breakout games as well. Still one of my favorite arcade genres together with shmups. Some hidden object games are actually very good, but generally I tend to steer clear of them as I've played too many previoulsy. My eyes can't take the strain any more. :)

Open up I.E. and check that its not set to offline. If you don't have a shortcut installed, go to search and type in Internet Explorer (It will still be installed on your computer; probably within the windows folder). The I.E. shortcut should pop up. try downloading it via I.E.

I successfully downloaded & unpacked the ZIP file. I turned OFF my AVG antivirus and Comodo firewall software during the attempted installation of this program. Tried 3 times, got the following message each time:

Hi Ken,

The problem signature doesn't give me the information to make an informed response so the following are just possibilities:

Did you check out the FAQ's thread over in the Game discussion forums? I've linked to it in my review in the problem section. You may find a fx there.

Have you tried redownloading the file? Also try using a different archiver. I've listed several in the FAQ's section. The reason I say this is because I and several other community members have had problems unzipping a perfectly good file at times. Using a different archiver should fix the problem. (I haven't a clue why it does that, possibly some conflict with running programs).

If it's a conflict, you could try turning off background programs one at a time via task manager and try to find the culprit, (if any) by trial and error. Another way would be to try programs like Game Booster (now available for free via the Razer web site). Game Booster turns off all unecessary background system programs as well as you being able to configure it to turn off other programs (such as previous giveawayoftheday programs that insert themselves into the start up folder). The beauty of Game Booster is that once you're done playing your game you can turn everything back on at the touch of a button. (I think the latest versions actually does it all automatically once you've configured the program).

It would be a quick way of finding out if there was a conflict or not, rather than doing it by trial and error.

Also check to see if the file has admin rights. (Right click on the executable and select Run as Administrator.


It could be that the download became corrupted while being downloaded. Due to the popularity of the game, the servers are overloaded, thus slowing the download to a snails pace (a 156 MB file should normally only take a matter of seconds to download, assuming you have a reasonably fast connection, but because its taking much longer, its more prone to interference (just a possible cause for the problem).

Let me know either way if you get it installed or not. Thanks

ok i find why the sound crack : my version of shockwave flash is incompatible on Virtual machine, i correct it by last version.


and why the game is slowly : the *.swf file is compressed
the solution is un-compresssed them all (with 7zip)

for example in asset.swf have asset~.swf
after you have un-compresssed delete(or move it in other doc) the original file (here asset.swf)
and rename the final file by original name (just remove "~" on asset~.swf)

The game downloaded and installed just fine for me, since hidden object games are my favorite I was glad to see this one. It is more simplistic, like the original hidden object games, than a majority of the ones that are now being put on the market. It is pretty straight forward - here is a list, find the items on the list. Many of the newer games out today have you going back and forth to a screen several different times while looking for objects to perform actions at a certain level. This game is not quite so complicated, which can actually be nice for people who are not super crazy about hidden object games, or even children who tend to become impatient if they have to keep going back and forth to complete a task. As the moderator stated, there are some scenes where it is extremely hard to find certain objects - even after the hint button has been activated. I tried adjusting the color and brightness settings on my computer to see if that would help, but there was not really any difference. I think the developers need to adjust that somehow. They can either lighten the scenes, or make the objects easier to spot, but the way it is now I know of several people who would just stop playing because it would be too difficult to complete the level. I was not crazy about the music, but I could not find a way to play my own music with the game. If there is a way to use your own music I would appreciate knowing how. Overall, I think this is a nice little game, and if the developers would just tweak it a little to make it more manageable for other players they would probably find more people interested in trying and keeping the game.

p.s. scuze the time it took to reply to the music problem. you can turn off the in game music either via the options menu or right clicking on the speaker symbol next to the clock and selecting Open volume mixer. The latter turns off all sounds and music from the game. The only way to get other music playing, is to run your media player in the background while playing the game. :)
