Wizard Time :

In Brief:
Wizard Time is a nice little 2D platformer with retro graphics. Navigate your wizard through various levels using the portals. Initially picking up a magical staff to defend himself with and some jumping boots so that he can jump onto platforms with ease. Movement is accomplished via the left and right arrow keys. Once you've picked up the boots use the Z key to jump and the X key to use the magical staff. When entering a portal you have to use the up arrow to activate it. The up arrow in conjunction with the X key will also send a pulse of magic upwards. Some enemies can be killed using the staff from low platforms without having to put your character in danger, but generally you have to be on the same level and risk contact with the enemy. Once you start using your staff, it pushes back the enemy so long as you keep firing until dead. There's also a sprint power up to pick up that allows you to move faster.

Controllers work to some extent, however, like some previous games, when accessing the menu items you cannot go back to a previous menu list, you have to use the Esc key.

Conclusion:
Overall a thumbs up from me 7 out of 10 for relatively easy platforming, with some action involved. I preferred playing the game with the shader option turned off, when the shaders are turned on it made the game look like it was being played on an old crt (cathode ray tube) screen. The game is definitely worth downloading IMO; especially if, like me you prefer easier platform games. :)

Notes on Security
