Hi Wabbit.
This game downloaded quickly and installed well on W10 64bit pro.
It is a bit addictive and i'm glad to find it again.
I lost it when the computer had a bad hiccup ... sigh

Thank you for your feedback Krystal, appreciated.
I'm pleased to hear that you are glad to have found it after losing it to a computer issue. I've lost terabytes of data such as photo's, documents, mods, and games, some of which were irreplaceable, to computer hiccups in the past. I started using backup programs to ensure I don't lose anything except for the time it takes to repair the issue, I also tend to create several backups of irreplaceable info onto DVD/BluRay disks and external drives.
You can find free backup programs online; (though I prefer the commercial Acronis Backup software, which I purchased via BitsDuJour about 6 years ago), for example:

Ashampoo Backup 2016
EaseUS Todo Backup
Cobian Backup
Paragon Backup & Recovery
FBackup
Google Backup and Sync.
Over on the applications side of the giveaway project they sometimes give away decent backup programs. If you've never used backup programs before I would recommend using an SSD external drive to back up your data rather than the traditional HDD. I lost around 3TB of data a few years ago when two of my external drives were trashed after being dropped. Traditional HDD's are easily damaged if handled roughly, whereas SSD's are more robust (though more expensive than HDD's).

Krystal, MAybe also look at EaseUS Todo PCTrans Pro 9.8.
When used properly you also can transfer a program to another drive-letter.
And I could transfer a program from WinXP to Win7. Not all of them, but most of it.
I do have a license, but that only used on 1 PC, in Win10 and in Win8.1.
And it was also free by MS for sometime ago.

FWIW WR, careful with Blu-ray for long term storage. You'll often find reports of them going bad after months or even weeks -- I've had blanks go bad [I think] from sitting too long on the shelf, so they wouldn't burn, while the pack I bought at the same time & used burned fine. The exception is M-Discs, which are designed for archival, but they cost -- saw a 15 pack on Amazon for ~$70.

Also FWIW, Macrium Reflect Free is a backup app that's getting more & more popular, plus it's from the UK if that matters to you WR. The bootable USB sticks you create with it have worked on everything -- I've a few devices where all the others have failed. Paragon [eventually] came up with a bootable USB stick that worked on everything, but it's twice as slow as Macrium's backing up & restoring.

Also, also FWIW, they're a bit expensive, but some NAS storage units like the WD My Cloud Mirror have 2 or more hard drives set up so everything you store is written to both -- if one drive goes bad, all your stuff is still on the 2nd, and so can be copied to replacement drives. And since they're accessed over your home network, anything connected to that network can sign in & use the NAS.

Thanks for the advice Mike. will have to check my Blu Rays to see if any have gone bad. I usually back up on both blu Ray and external drives, so have at least two backups and for the past three or four years i no longer delete images off micro SD cards. I just buy new ones and keep the used ones as backups.
Please excuse the late reply, got called away early in the day. My sister rang to tell me my father who is in his mid 80's was ill. He's in early to mid stages of altzeimers. It's a longish journey to visit, so I didn't get back until recently; hence no moderation since late morning.

If you wish to see the problems section, which I've now incorporated into the FAQ's thread you can find it HERE and the recent games deals (now called The Weekly roundup of game deals) is HERE. I've still to post the installation section. Will do so later. In the meantime, if you have problems installing the game, do post a comment, thank you.
The Game
As wonderful as weddings might be, the preparation can sure be complicated and troublesome. In Wedding Salon, a new time management game by developer Sugar Games, you can experience this exciting rush by following Holly, who manages wedding shops all over the country while planning her own marriage at the same time. We were fairly entertained by Wedding Salon, but not enough to give it a stellar rating.
wedding salon 003
wedding salon 005
Wedding Salon features 70 levels in ten different shops, although that sounds much more than it actually is. Experienced time management players will probably finish all levels within three to four hours, which still is a convincing playing time. The game only introduces one mode, but the player can at least try to reach an expert goal in each level. Those expert points can then be spent on Holly’s own dream wedding, a feature that is very similar to the decoration of a VIP lounge in Hotel Dash. You can choose the meal, the wallpaper in her suite, and a lot of other details, which is quite fun and actually a good motivation to get expert scores in every level.
The gameplay of Wedding Salon can be easily compared to Sally’s Spa or a previous game by this developer called Wendy’s Wellness. Customers enter your store and take seats in the waiting area. You can then drag them to the appropriate stations according to their wishes displayed in thought bubbles. Those stations differ from shop to shop, and you have to play mini-games at most of them to increase the patience of your customers.<=blockquote>

wedding salon 013
Those mini-games mainly consist of multiple-choice tasks, such as clicking the appropriate earring, create the desired cake, or choosing the correct pattern and color for a dress. If you finish those mini-games successfully your customers will earn hearts, which means that you will earn more money. You are also able to click roses or hearts inside shops to increase the patience of the currently least patient customer. The game also introduces a different kind of chaining. Instead of colors or similar actions you are rewarded for treating men and women at separate stations. The only reward for doing so is that you don’t have to perform the mini-game after treating three persons of the same gender at one station.
Customers do not differ notably in Wedding Salon with only one exception. Younger customers will want to visit stations backwards, which regularly messes up your carefully planned order. Certainly you are also able to upgrade each shop with the money you earn, although those upgrades do not really differ at different locations and generally lack any originality. You are able to improve the coffee machine, hire assistants for various stations or upgrade stations themselves. Every once in a while there are also shorter, but quicker levels where you have to perform the same mini-game in a limited amount of time.

wedding salon 030
As you probably have already recognized by now, I’m not overly excited about this altogether run-of-the-mill time management game. Wedding Salon does nothing terribly wrong, but it lacks any pleasant features, welcome surprises, or at least the polish of similar titles. While the game is quite challenging at times, there is no real strategy about it, so that replaying levels is not as entertaining as it could be. Controls become a bit annoying at times, too. Between all the clicking and dragging and the pop-up mini games, there is no real flow, which is one of the decisive factors determining whether a game of this genre is fun or not.
Furthermore Wedding Salon also lacks real variation – the mini-games are rather similar, customers do not differ enough to require or enable strategies and the graphics are definitely outdated, although they at least convey a certain charm considering the theme of the game.
In the end, Wedding Salon is a nice variation of the popular Sally-series in a very different setting, but with much less polish, uninspired mini-games, and at times annoying controls. Nevertheless it cannot hurt to try the game for any time management game fan. New releases in this genre are few and far between right now, and at least Wedding Salon offers a somewhat fresh setting, a convincing playing time, and an interesting challenge in some levels.

Conclusion
A typical old school time management game in the dash style. As with most games of this sub genre, you'll be clicking to the point of distraction later in the gamer as it becomes more complex. If you like challenging time management games this is definitely for you. :)
Scoring

⦁ Game play: 8
⦁ Graphics: 8
⦁ Audio: 7
⦁ Re-playability: 7
⦁ Originality: 6
⦁ Fun Factor: 7.5
Overall Score = 43.5 out of 60 = 7.25 out of 10.
I know the score doesn't really reflect what was said in the game review above. I personally don't like this type of time management game; in fact for me they are the worst kind of arcade game, but I always try to be as unbiased as I can with scoring these giveaways. Because of my dislike for this game I've tried to score for technical merit. The review above was posted on Gamezebo (follow the reference I've provided below the game review) because I didn't have the patience to play more than four or five levels. That at least gave me an insight into the games features , music and re-playability as well as originality. I did like the graphic as it was crisp and fitted in with a wedding theme. A gaudy graphic just wouldn't have been right.

Problems getting the game to work:
If you're having problems installing or activating or getting Wedding Salon to work please visit the FAQ's Thread HERE and read through the communities comments because sometimes fixes have already been posted, for example, a common issue seen since the Themida wrapper was introduced three years ago is that some community members installation of the game are blocked by their security because Themida code has been known to hide malware, (usually an error message is flagged for example 'The executable is corrupted' even though in reality it is not); so as a precaution some anti malware programs will block and even delete the suspect installation files even though the files (i.e. the setup, read me and setup.gcd files are actually totally free from malware. This issue can be solved either by rebooting your computer in safe mode with networking or a quicker method is to temporarily turn off your security software to allow the installation. You could also try whitelisting the setup.gcd file. In the almost 11 years this game giveaway site has been operating there has 'never' been a game given away that was infected with malware.
If for any reason you want to contact the giveaway team, for example, you have a game to offer the community, or are unable to download the latest game or other issues that the FAQ's thread or these comments don't cover or solve you can do so HERE
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank MyPlayCity for giving away Wedding Salon and to the giveaway team for providing these games.
