Voyage to Fantasy: Part 1
In Brief
Voyage to Fantasy: Part 1 is a Hidden Object fantasy game that's ideal for the whole family.

It was originally given away on the 9th December 2018 (exactly 38 years to the day after John Lennon was shot) where it received a positive 83% from 40 votes with 12 comments, which you can see HERE.

Introduction:
Join the famous League of Voyagers to release trapped stories and legends from Black Holes! In this Steampunk hidden object adventure, Voyage to Fantasy: Part 1, you'll search out lots of hidden objects, most of which are easy to spot. To boost your game score, (this game seems to focus on scoring as many points as possible), you can win more points through creating combos and collecting emeralds. Also, use your boosters to unlock other challenging levels. This is a fast paced and relatively easy HOG adventure, which is ideal for the whole family and great when the weather stops you from doing more interesting things outside.

The Game:
Voyage to Fantasy - Part 1 is a straightforward hidden object game (HOG) that IMO would be an ideal introduction to the genre for those not as familiar with HOG's. With loads of boosters to unlock, the main emphasis on this game appears to be attaining high scores. Each level has a high score table to beat. You'll find it relatively easy to get on the top spot. You can create multiple profiles, making this an ideal family game. There are three language options to choose from, i.e. Française, English and Deutsche, though, from the images I've used from image sharing sites, there also appears to be a Polish language option, but its not found in the folder (resource/master/locale) where the other three language options can be found. I've checked other versions of this game from i Win and Wild Tangent Games and they don't include Polish. I presume the Polish version is only available via Polish outlets?

The easiest way to achieve higher scores is to find the hidden objects listed as fast as possible; the speedier you find them the higher your score. To help in your quest to complete a level with as high a score as possible you are awarded boosters, the first of which is the magnifying glass which is unlocked near the start of the game. When this booster is used it highlights at least one object from the list you need to find. You may get more than one booster on some levels, which will allow you to uncover as many objects as the number of boosters you are awarded. There are four different booster types that are unlocked as you progress through the 130 + levels. These can be carried forward from level to level if not used initially.
Voyage to Fantasy - Part 1 is a very easy hidden object game (at least to those who play them regularly) that should appeal to families with young family members, or to those who are relatively new to the hidden object genre. Please check out the video links I've provided below in the next paragraph to see Voyage to Fantasy game play in action. There's no long lists of objects to find, most levels appear to have only a limited number of objects to find, which makes for a quick game.

Conclusion:
I don't particularly enjoy playing hidden object games, partly due to my poor eye sight, old reading spectacles designed for reading a book from about 12 inches away but not for looking at a monitor at least 2 feet away. Also, I usually find them quite tedious after playing countless versions over the last 20 years or so since I purchased my first digital copy of an 'I Spy' game about 20 years ago. That said, I found the fast pace of this game quite endearing and actually enjoyed playing the game; with the aim of scoring high on each levels high score table. Yes, it was pretty easy to do, but I still enjoyed it despite there being little challenge. The graphics are excellent, the game play okay. Unfortunately there isn't much re-playability beyond trying to improve your high scores, which gets easier the more you play each level because the hidden objects are always in the same place. This game would have scored much higher and have greater re-playability if the objects had been placed randomly on each play through, or if different objects were available to select on each replay. Sadly that isn't the case with this game; so, despite eking out some enjoyment playing this game, I can only award Voyages of Fantasy an average 6 out of 10 and that's being generous.

Problems getting the game to work:
If you're having problems installing or activating or getting Voyage to Fantasy: Part 1 to work please visit the FAQ's Thread HERE and read through the communities comments because sometimes fixes have already been posted, for example, a common issue seen since the Themida wrapper was introduced three years ago is that some community members installation of the game are blocked by their security because Themida code has been known to hide malware, (usually an error message is flagged for example 'The executable is corrupted' even though in reality it is not); so as a precaution some anti malware programs will block and even delete the suspect installation files even though the files (i.e. the setup, read me and setup.gcd files are actually totally free from malware. This issue can be solved either by rebooting your computer in safe mode with networking or a quicker method is to temporarily turn off your security software to allow the installation. You could also try white-listing the setup.gcd file. In the almost 12 years this game giveaway site has been operating there has 'never' been a game given away that was infected with malware.
If for any reason you want to contact the giveaway team, for example, you have a game to offer the community, or are unable to download the latest game or other issues that the FAQ's thread or these comments don't cover or solve you can do so HERE

Whiterabbit-uk,

The latest Epic freebies are A Plague Tale: Innocence - Follow the grim tale of young Amicia and her little brother Hugo, in a heartrending journey through the darkest hours of history. Hunted by Inquisition soldiers and surrounded by unstoppable swarms of rats, they will come to know and trust each other and Speed Brawl - a 2D combat-racer about moving fast and hitting hard! Maintain your momentum, build combos, and unleash powerful moves. From next Thursday 12th August we will be getting Rebel Galaxy, which has previously been given away via Epic. Also available as a free to play just for this weekend is Far Cry 5 that was released Feb 2018. It's got a decent discpunt as well if your interested in buying it after you've trialed it.
Battlefield V is free from EA Games (Origin) until 1st September, but I think you can only get it free if you subscribe to Amazon Prime via their free Amazon Prime Gaming. You'll find a link to the appropriate page HERE; you'll need to log in via your Shareware on Sale sign-in then click on the link that says '' click here to go to the giveaway page '', then you'll need to sign into your Amazon Prime Gaming account (basically the same as your Amazon Prime sign in (I think). It's part of the Twitch gaming subscription which you get free with Amazon Prime. If you are unsure how to do this you can find out via Livewire HERE. I've posted some images links to videos of game play for single player cooperative and multiplayer game play as well as a link to a review of the game over in the giveaway forums HERE

If you like WWII first person shooter, Battlefield V is actually an amazing game with respect to graphics and immersion. I was blown away by the action when I first booted up the single player campaign last year. I've posted some images and a link to a review of the game over in the forums

I cannot get the game to cooperate. Installed okay. Let me into the opening screen and accepted a player name. After that I get a black screen that never goes away. I've retried 5 or 6 or more times. Win 7, by the way but it said it would play nicely with Win 7. Any thoughts?

I remember this one from last time around.

I am a big fan of HOGs (and mini-games) but this one left me cold somehow. The levels felt like scenes left over or taken out of other HOGs, and the often juddering contrast in background and style between one level and the next got a bit too much for me.

I also hate HOGs played against the clock, so that didn't help much either.

But as others have said, the HOG parts are pretty easy; so if you don't mind the points-and-time element, and just want a bunch of unrelated HOG scenes and mini-games to play for a while: it's worth a download, and then you can make your own mind up!

I've shut off my virus protection like I always do to download the games, but it keeps saying "Failed to launch Program". My daughter did the same on her computer and it says the same. Any suggestions?

Donna,

Usually that means a security program is blocking your game; sometimes because the executable has been removed via the security. Do you have more than one security program running, or has your provider blocked the download? I know you said you'd disabled your AV; try rebooting in safe mode with networking and try again. Hope this works. I was able to install and play the game with no issues on Win 10 Pro.

I had an issue some years ago, where I wasn't able to install any giveaways from both sides of the project. Turned out I had a security program running in the background and to all intents was hidden. I ended up calling Microsoft as I'd just reinstalled a new motherboard and though that may have been the issue. I shared my desktop with one of their tech's; it took him less than 30 seconds to find the security program blocking the giveaways.
