Despite all the negative reviews I decided to give this game a try. (why not, there is no install process. Just unzip and play). I found I don't really mind it. It's not the greatest game but it's not that bad either. I think it's a fairly fun game. I like that you can play against the computer so you can have a game anytime you want. I don't know antyhing about the alternative suggested, Blooby. I looked at it but decided not to download it. This game is a lot more fun than yesterday's bowling. But still I am looking forward to another publisher. To me Fly Games has had it's 15 minutes of fame. Please give us someone else.

Uff, horrible, and I complain because they get money with us, so they should offer stg better, I want a clone of sims, I'm going to stop visiting this place if the games don't improve...And by the way, the game costs 4.95 $, that's no much....

Well, the original was actually CGA, not VGA, and you can download that game (it's a DOS game so you'll likely need DOSBox or something to get it running) here:

Thanks for the effort GAOTD, but no thanks here.

To quote "More features, More fun". Features? There are features? Like maybe the feature to change the Keyboard config from Z,S and C to a combination that does NOT require me to play the left character with my right hand! that would have been a hood feature.

Maybe the word has not gotten out that mankind does NOT have 2 right hands!

I imagine that music was entitled "Whales Dying a Horrible, yet Sublime Death"!

The game play is different and I give them credit for that. But the result is a game with a kinda hard learning curve with no reward in sight.

Okay, so in the last 10 days, I've downloaded 2 games, Egyptian Ball (EleFun) and Infinite Puzzle (SLY Games). Egyptian Ball was pretty good, too easy, but fun. So far, I have not been able to actually use the Puzzle game, because nothing seems to really work or make sense. I've read comments on every game from "Sly" Games and cannot see why I should even bother with any more offerings from them. I'm beginning to think this is yet another alias for the old dud, DoubleGames. Hmmmm. Thanks, but no thanks, GGOTD.

I checked the game over for a short while but found the game play wasn't very inspiring. jjgags comment #10 compared it to pong. That was being kind. If you want some good variations of Pong this game isn’t what I'd be looking for. Little Gods and Rival Ball Tournament, both have a style that combine pong with an arkanoid theme and are much more enjoyable to play (IMO)

I tried playing it on hard, medium and easy and didn't really see any difference in game play. If you get the position just right you don't even have to move apart from jump and your almost guaranteed to return the ball virtually every time. Though if you could find another human player and play it on two player, then maybe there's some fun to be had out of this game.

I have to agree with the general consensus here and say this is a sub par game. . Not only that, but the developers have stolen both the characters and the music right out of an arkanoid game I bought several years ago called Arcon Toys. I originally bought it from Alawar but they no longer sell it and it does seem hard to track down these days. You can see a flyer advertising the game by following the link below. Anyone who has Wave Ball root revision would like this one as it had a very unusual playing field that moves oddly:

I would have to rate this game as 'pretty sucky' ...sorry! ;o)

For a better Freeware VolleyBall game with internet play capability and more user options (mouse play for one... ;o) ),

A cute little game, but kinda frustrating as #3 said. This game might appeal to children, but I don't think many adults would want to play a 2 player game on the same keyboard... I had wondered if the program description of 2 player option might've meant 2 players could connect via internet, but alas this isn't so.

If the players were made slightly smaller, the court slightly bigger, and an internet option added to make this multiplayer on the internet or local network, then I imagine it would be slightly more fun.

Otherwise this is an okay game, and probably worth the $4.95 people would normally pay if it wasn't free today.

WOW, 800 x 600 graphics, right up to date then! Not Vista on specs so I won't bother especially as the recent Fly games haven't gone down well!

I downloaded, unzipped, installed and GGOTD informed me that it had been unlocked but darned if I can find it anywhere. I sent the dog to look for it and he found nothing with the word volleyball. It said it would install it to c:/games. I can't find it in the add/remove list either. I'll check at the forum to see if somebody has an answer to this puzzle. That is of course after there are some other comments here.

Downloaded, installed, played, uninstalled. This entire took less than 3 minutes.

This game is absolutely atrocious. The sound is annoying, the gameplay frustrating, and the similarity to the actual game of volleyball is nonexistent.

Save your hard drive the 8.6 MB and steer clear!
